As soon as Brother Meteor Hammer jumped off the stone platform, the entire skeleton army turned their heads to look at him.
The eerie green flames flickering in their eye sockets turned red for a fleeting moment.
Ye Sisi felt something was wrong, but Brother Meteor Hammer only knew how to act recklessly, swinging his huge meteor hammer at the nearest skull.
But the powerful and heavy hammer was easily caught by the leader of the skeletons. With a crack, the meteor hammer instantly turned into dust in the white hand bones.
Fortunately, he didn't make any further moves, and Ye Sisi simply swung the rope and pulled the burly man up.
The burly man breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, he had been careful and hadn't used his signature hammer, otherwise he would have lost half his life.
The others dared not move for a moment, including the two Nascent Soul cultivators who frowned.
They all turned to look in the direction of Ye Sisi and the other two, and there was a strange sense of trust in them, especially when they looked at Ye Sisi.
Ye Sisi ignored their gazes and looked at the dense army of skeletons outside the stone platform. After a moment of silence, she raised her hand and said, "Hello, everyone. We did not mean to disturb you. Please forgive us if we have offended you."
Everyone stared wide-eyed. Could this really be happening?
Now that things have come to this, shouldn't we be trying to fight our way out? Why are we still greeting them and apologizing?
Besides, those guys on the other side are obviously not people you can communicate with normally. Calling them "brother" and "sister" is ridiculous.
But something even more shocking happened: the flames in all the skulls' eyes paused for a moment, as if they too were shocked by Ye Sisi's words.
Ye Sisi's heart skipped a beat. She just wanted to test whether these skeletons had any self-awareness, but she didn't expect them to actually have it. That would be troublesome.
But the flames in the skeletons' eyes only paused for a moment before returning to normal, showing no intention of communicating with Ye Sisi.
Ye Sisi patted her chest, deciding to let them stay outside for now. The situation was too strange, and the skeletons were quite powerful. She decided to look for an exit again.
She began to circle around the stone platform. At first, she used her divine sense to check the platform, but there was no aura of any array or barrier, nor any abnormal spatial fluctuations.
The thorough search has yielded no results, so if they want to get out of this hellhole, they have to fight their way out and find a way out.
The scene remained in this eerie stalemate; the skeletons outside the stone platform wouldn't come in, and the cultivators on the platform wouldn't go down.
Until a hot-tempered Nascent Soul cultivator named Sima Rushuang couldn't bear it any longer and jumped down.
Her weapon was a long, fiery red whip. She lashed out at the skeleton in front of her, yelling, "You damn thing, get out of my way!"
Ye Sisi watched quietly. The skeleton, missing an arm, didn't make a move. It merely raised its chin, and Sima Rushuang's long whip lashed directly at the skeleton's sternum.
Then...then the whip turned to dust, which means that the opponent was unreasonably strong.
Sima Rushuang was also very bold. Seeing that the magic artifacts were destroyed, she took out a long whip and lashed it at another skeleton that was missing its legs. The result was the same. The other side did not move at all and stood there while she was hit by a Nascent Soul cultivator. As a result, many of the magic artifacts were damaged, but not even a spark was generated.
Ye Sisi squatted on the stone platform and drew circles. She couldn't be sure whether the skeletons weren't attacking because Sima Rushuang was still within a safe range, or because the skeletons meant them no harm and wouldn't attack.
But the only certainty is that every skeleton here is a powerful figure they can't afford to mess with or beat.
She ruffled her hair. Why did she always encounter opponents she couldn't beat while cultivating immortality? Couldn't she find someone whose strength was only slightly stronger than hers, someone she could defeat by paying a price?
Fortunately, the situation finally changed a bit. The melodious chimes came from all directions, the sound was very gentle, as if it could wash away the restlessness in people's hearts.
As if receiving some kind of command, the skeleton army turned around and walked away in unison. The crunching sound of bones grinding together grew fainter and fainter, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Although I don't know exactly what happened, at least I'm safe for now.
Ye Sisi also stood up, and after exchanging a glance with Su Jiuli, she walked towards the outside of the stone platform.
Regardless, we still have to go out and find a way out; who knows if those mystical skeletons will ever come back.
The others were the same; they weren't familiar with each other, but they all followed behind Ye Sisi and her two companions with great tacit understanding.
Ye Sisi didn't mind; as long as she didn't interfere with her behavior, she could follow along if she wanted.
Su Jiuli walked at the front, with Ye Sisi and Ye Shubai following a little behind him.
As soon as Su Jiuli stepped out of the area shrouded in light, she said, "Don't come out yet."
Ye Sisi obediently stopped, just a hair's breadth away from taking the first step.
Just as everyone was looking on in confusion, Su Jiuli tried to back away, wanting to retreat back to the place shrouded in light.
But he failed; it was as if there was an invisible, intangible, and imperceptible membrane in front of him.
Seeing this, he said directly, "The area outside is a place devoid of spiritual energy. Junior Sister, Fourth Junior Brother, pack up any supplies you can and bring them out."
Ye Sisi and Ye Shubai exchanged a glance and then began packing their things.
Prepare some elixirs, food, and spirit stones.
Especially food; without the support of spiritual energy, even a Nascent Soul cultivator cannot abstain from grains, since the human body needs energy to function.
Seeing that she was carrying more and more things, Ye Sisi simply said, "Senior Brother, wait outside for a while, I'll make something first."
Su Jiuli nodded, remaining vigilant about her surroundings.
