"Don't worry, your senior brother will be fine."
Ye Sisi looked at Wuyou, who had no expression on her face, and calmly said, "What just happened? Why should I believe you?"
Wuyou continued expressionlessly, "Believe it or not, it's up to you."
Ye Sisi suppressed her irritation: "I don't care who you are or what your purpose is, let me out right now."
Wuyou twitched her lips, her smile somewhat mocking: "Get out. What can you do outside? What can you do besides hold us back?"
Ye Sisi remained silent because she was powerless to refute it; she was still not strong enough to help at all.
"Fine, since you won't let me out, what exactly do you want? Just say what you want to say and let me through."
Wuyou paused for a moment, then said in a completely emotionless voice, "Twelve years. I'll give you another twelve years. If you haven't reshaped your godhood by then, I will devour you directly. Even if I have no way out by then, I won't hold back."
Ye Sisi frowned. There was too much information in that sentence, and she needed to process it. Besides, there were some parts that she didn't understand.
Reconstructing divinity means that she, or rather they, originally possessed divinity, so their predecessors were gods.
If that's the case, why are two more consciousnesses appearing now, threatening to devour her if she doesn't rebuild her divinity? What does "escape route" mean? What exactly is the relationship between her and Wuyou?
"What exactly is your relationship with me? If you are a god, what kind of god are you? What is your relationship with Ye Susu? And what is your relationship with the one who possesses the power to destroy the world?"
Wuyou's clear, glass-like eyes held no emotion, nor did she seem inclined to answer Ye Sisi; she simply sat there in silence.
Ye Sisi was very annoyed and said angrily, "It's like this again. You don't say anything and you keep everything from me. If you're so capable, then just devour me now! So what if you're a god? Did you even ask my opinion before pulling me out of my world? If you're so capable, why did you even pull me here in the first place..."
As if she wanted to vent all her grievances and dissatisfaction, Ye Sisi had experienced too much that day, and her mood was already fluctuating greatly. Coupled with Wuyou's cold and indifferent attitude and ambiguous words, she really couldn't hold back anymore.
Even so, Wuyou remained expressionless, her eyes filled with indifference, as if emotions simply did not exist in her world.
After venting her frustrations, Ye Sisi sat down on the ground, hugging her knees and lost in thought.
After an unknown amount of time, Wuyou spoke again: "If you want your fifth senior brother to come back, then stop being so half-dead."
Ye Sisi looked up at Wuyou, who seemed oblivious to everything. Yes, she still had to bring her fifth senior brother back. She couldn't become like Wuyou; she couldn't be devoured by Wuyou. Otherwise, what would happen to her fifth senior brother?
Everything around her melted away like an oil painting, and Wuyou's ethereal figure slowly disappeared. Ye Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. This time, her senior brother should tell her some things, even if not everything.
Su Jiuli brought Ye Sisi back to his residence in Xianyin City. She remained unconscious for three days, and he stayed by her side for those three days.
At first, everything was fine; Ye Sisi seemed to be asleep, as if she were not doing anything wrong.
But then, Ye Sisi started talking in her sleep, and then she started crying silently.
Su Jiuli could only watch, while considering how to tell her everything. Of course, he couldn't tell her everything, because if he did, Ye Sisi's heart would probably shatter instantly.
From her sleep-talking, Su Jiuli knew how dissatisfied she was with their secrecy. He realized that what he thought was being good to her might just be a burden, and he was wrong.
Ye Sisi opened her eyes and saw the familiar bed ceiling. She knew that she was now in Xianyin City, so they were alright.
Before she could sit up, she heard Su Jiuli's familiar voice, "Awake?"
Turning her head, she saw Su Jiuli sitting by the window, smiling at her.
A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm so glad everything's alright.
"How are you feeling? Is anything bothering you?"
Ye Sisi quickly sat up and shook her head, saying, "I'm fine, Senior Brother, are you alright?"
Su Jiuli blinked, pointed at herself, and said, "Junior Sister, do I look like something's wrong?"
Ye Sisi smiled, opened her mouth, wanting to ask something but not knowing how to start.
Su Jiuli smiled and waved her hand: "Come and sit down. I'll tell you everything you want to know today."
Ye Sisi's eyes widened in surprise, then she couldn't help but pick at her ear: "Senior Brother, what did you just say?"
Su Jiuli continued with a smile, "You heard me right, I said I'll tell you everything you want to know today."
Ye Sisi jumped off the bed and, without even putting on her shoes properly, sat down next to Su Jiuli with an excited feeling that all the mysteries were about to be revealed.
The sycophant picked up the teapot on the table, intending to pour Su Jiuli a cup of tea, but embarrassingly found that both teacups were full. He casually put down the teapot, then winked and said, "Senior Brother, I'm ready."
Su Jiuli couldn't help but smile, "Where would you like to start listening?"
"I want to know why I came into this world, and what my relationship is with Wuyou?"
"The reason you came here is because you were originally a person of this world; you and Wuyou were originally one."
Before Ye Sisi could ask any questions, Su Jiuli continued, "This is a long story, it all started with a great battle more than ten thousand years ago."
"The great war I'm talking about isn't a brutal war between the spirit realm and the demon realm, but a great war between the gods of the outer heavens and the seven great rulers of the Nine Netherworlds."
Ye Sisi listened attentively, not daring to miss a single word.
"This universe is very, very vast. There are many places like the Celestial Realm, and many places like the Spirit Realm, but there is only one Outer Heaven, and you were originally one of the seven innate gods of the Outer Heaven."
She deduced from Wuyou's words that she might originally be a god, so she wasn't particularly surprised. But what did it mean that she and Wuyou were one?
"The only beings in this universe who can rival the seven innate gods of the Outer Heavens are the seven rulers of the Nine Netherworlds. As a god who wields the power of purification, you are inherently able to restrain the world-destroying ruler of the Nine Netherworlds. That's right, the world-destroying power you have come into contact with comes from that world-destroying ruler."
At this point, Su Jiuli paused before continuing, "The reason you are who you are now is because ten thousand years ago, in your battle against the World Destroyer, you risked shattering your own divine core in order to completely eliminate her, but unfortunately, you still failed."
