Chapter 84 Believe in fate my ass

Yun Chao met her gaze without flinching, and instead smiled as he transmitted his voice, "Fellow Daoist Ye, have you ever heard of the Destiny Star?"

He didn't wait for Ye Sisi's reply, but continued to transmit his voice: "Everyone in the cultivation world corresponds to a destiny star, and the trajectory of the destiny star corresponds to the trajectory of a person's fate. And everyone's trajectory of fate is fixed from the beginning." He paused here, and his expression became more solemn. "And your destiny star should have fallen five months ago!"

Ye Sisi gave a cold laugh: "As a cultivator, you actually believe in fate?"

Yun Chao choked for a moment, then said, "Don't change the subject. Do you know why we noticed you among millions of destiny stars?"

How could Ye Sisi know? She was still completely baffled. If she said that the cultivation world was a melodramatic novel, people would probably think she had lost her mind!

Yun Chao continued, "Because you not only caused your own destiny star to deviate from its course, but you also affected the people around you. If that were all, it wouldn't be so strange. It's not unusual for an abnormal destiny star to appear occasionally. But you have affected the destiny of the chosen one!"

Ye Sisi's sneer deepened, and she raised her eyelids, saying calmly, "So what? You're going to eliminate this demonic star for your chosen one?"

Yun Chao didn't speak, but sometimes silence is an answer.

Ye Sisi didn't experience much emotional fluctuation. If the person in front of her was someone she cared about, such as her master, senior brothers, or senior sisters, she might have been sad. But since the person in front of her was just a stranger whose name she only knew, she just found it ridiculous.

"You shouldn't be alive! Your existence will cause turmoil throughout the entire Cang Realm!"

Ye Sisi laughed, a laugh so arrogant it was almost comical: "Who do you think you are? I, Ye Sisi, decide my own fate. And you, a lousy fortune teller, do you have some misunderstanding about me? Do you really think I won't kill you?"

After saying that, she threw a punch straight at Yun Chao's face. She was furious when she heard about these things about fate and destiny. Why shouldn't she be alive? Why should her senior brothers, sisters, and master be the ones to make wedding dresses and provide equipment for the female lead? Since fate is unfair, why should she believe in it?

Cultivators and immortals are all about defying the norm, so she'll defy it to the end. She'll defy her fate, she'll defy her destiny, and if even the way of heaven is so rigid, then she'll defy heaven!

Yun Chao was prepared this time. He guessed that this bad-tempered girl would take action after hearing his words, so he reacted quickly and dodged.

He was, after all, a Golden Core cultivator. Although his combat power was somewhat lacking, he could still dodge an attack from a Qi Refining cultivator. Moreover, he was a direct disciple of the Tianji Sect and possessed many treasures, so he wouldn't die so easily outside.

Ye Sisi didn't retaliate after her punch missed. Firstly, she couldn't really do anything to him; secondly, they were in an inn after all, and it wouldn't be good to break things; and thirdly, even if she killed him, what difference would it make? There were still a lot of old guys in the Tianji Sect who wanted her dead.

She was shocked before, which is why she couldn't control her emotions for a moment. But after calming down, she knew that Yun Chao was just a Golden Core cultivator. No matter how talented he was, he couldn't possibly figure out his origins. So even if she killed him, it would be useless. What was threatening her now was the group of old monsters from the Tianji Sect.

So she simply picked up the chopsticks on the table and started eating. It seemed like she hadn't had a decent meal in a long time, and she figured she might as well eat it since it was free.

Yun Chao was surprised that this young girl had such good self-control; she could still eat after knowing such a big thing.

So he casually returned, fanning himself with his folding fan. The surrounding guests found the two of them strange and were preparing to pack up their things to make room for them. But instead of fighting, they started eating as if nothing had happened. These young people nowadays are really hard to understand.

"Fellow Daoist Ye, the reason I've been telling you all this is to remind you of the Tianji Sect's stance, because I don't think you're an utterly wicked person!"

Ye Sisi paused in her chopsticks, thinking that this person was out of his mind. He was the one who said she shouldn't be alive at first, and now he's the one saying she's not an irredeemable villain. What exactly is he trying to do?

Yun Chao seemed to have seen through her thoughts and continued to transmit his voice: "Although I don't think you are a completely evil person, your existence is still a variable!"

Ye Sisi raised her beautiful eyes, her expression calm and revealing no emotion whatsoever: "So what? You're going to continue being a lackey of Heaven's Will and the Chosen One!"

Yun Chao choked again. He felt that communicating with this little girl was exhausting. He kept killing the conversation and he would never make any friends!

"As a disciple of the Tianji Sect, I shouldn't be saying so much to you, but I still want to remind you that neither the Tianji Sect nor any other sect will let you go after they learn of your existence! Including myself!"

Ye Sisi calmly wiped her mouth with a handkerchief, then glanced at the serious-looking boy opposite her: "Then I'll tell my master, and have him take me to blow up your Tianji Sect first!"

Her master is a sword cultivator. If a sword cultivator believed in fate, he would never have made it this far. Moreover, her devilish master is a madman, so it would be a waste not to use such a powerful weapon!

Yun Chao remained silent for a long time. He had a feeling that this girl in front of him was really going to turn the cultivation world upside down.

Because this girl's thought process is a bit different from normal people, shouldn't she be crying and begging their Tianji Sect to help keep the secret? How dare she just blurt it out like that? Isn't she afraid that her master will kill her?

In his mind, any cultivator who knew about this incident would handle it the same way as their Tianji Sect. The cultivation world had been peaceful for so long, and it shouldn't be thrown into chaos because of one person's appearance. Therefore, sacrificing her to maintain the existing peace was the best choice.
