The Nirvana Club was officially established on February 22nd, a date that seemed to mock the fact that there were a bunch of idiots here.
Many fans of Xie Mingzhe and Chen Xiao left messages on their personal homepages to congratulate them. At the same time, the public account "Nirvana Club" handed over to Chi Yingying for management was officially launched. Xie Mingzhe and Chen Xiao forwarded the message together for promotion, which attracted a lot of traffic and the number of fans quickly exceeded one million.
Yu Ke now has two million fans, and there are many netizens who like the Little Boy Joker deck.
Qin Xuan, on the other hand, has remained unknown. He did not make it to the quarterfinals of the Masters Tournament and has never appeared in public. His personal homepage is still overgrown with weeds, and only a few fans have noticed his teammates' attention and followed him.
He likes to be alone and doesn't mind that he is not as popular as his teammates.
Qin Xuan had been on winter vacation these days and had been busy with scene drawings. Xie Mingzhe had given Qin Xuan the settings for several scene cards and asked him to help make them.
First up are the classic battles from the Three Kingdoms period. Xie Mingzhe selected some of the materials that were suitable for card battles and made them into scene cards.
The first is Guo Jia's plan. In the battle where Cao Cao defeated Lu Bu, "Xia Pi was flooded." At that time, Lu Bu was stationed in Xia Pi City, which was difficult to break through for a while. Cao Cao listened to Guo Jia's advice and dug two rivers outside the city, letting the river water directly flow into the city, flooding Xia Pi City.
Xia Pi City is made into a battle scene. After a period of time after the game starts, river water rushes into the city. As the river water pours in, the movement speed of all the scene cards becomes slower and slower, until the river water completely submerges the city, and all the scene cards are drowned.
Of course, the drowning setting is ineffective against aquatic creatures, so this map cannot be used to fight in Liushuang City. But for other clubs, the countdown death map setting will cause psychological panic among the players, and the ever-slowing speed will also affect the rhythm of the game. This map can be used to make some targeted arrangements.
This is a "fake water war" map.
The second battle re-creation map is the classic Battle of Red Cliffs.
Cao Cao's ships were connected by iron chains. At the beginning of the game, all the cards were on the ships. But one minute into the game, Huang Gai pretended to surrender, and the arson brigade he led rushed from a distance, suddenly setting the ships on fire and rushing into Cao's camp.
The wind raged, the fire burned more and more fiercely, and the flames instantly engulfed all the ships. At this time, the cards were surrounded by flames, and the cards in the entire scene were ignited by the flames, losing a lot of blood every second. If you want to put out the fire, you must jump into the river, and jumping into the river means that the card's movement speed and attack speed will be reduced overall.
Jump into the river to save your life? Or take the opportunity to kill the opponent's card first while the whole scene is losing health? This is left to the players to decide.
For the third scene card, Xie Mingzhe decided to make a Bagua formation.
In the center is a Tai Chi diagram, and around it are the formations of the Four Symbols and Eight Trigrams.
Since the orientation of the Bagua formation is very complicated, it is very difficult for people in this world to fully understand it. Xie Mingzhe simplified it and made the Tai Chi Yin-Yang diagram in the center of the Bagua formation radiate in a semicircular range. In this way, the ground of the entire battle area became two parts, yin and yang. The white yang part restores health over the entire area; the black yin part loses health over the entire area.
The Yin-Yang Bagua diagram rotates and changes randomly. The card that was on the positive side just now may become the negative side the next moment. Sometimes you recover blood, sometimes you lose blood. The fun is exciting.
The fourth scene card is "Bronze Sparrow Terrace", a luxurious building complex with magnificent attics in the background. However, the card battle scene only uses the square square at the top of the Bronze Sparrow Terrace. There is a cage on each side of the square. Every once in a while, the "Bronze Sparrow Spring Locks Up the Two Qiaos" event will be triggered, automatically locking the card with the highest attack power on both sides in the past minute into the cage.
This map can be used in team battles. You can accurately predict the time when the scene event is triggered and use your card with a slightly lower attack to replace the opponent's core card with the highest attack. Of course, the opponent is not stupid either. Which card to lock up depends on the commander's awareness.
For the fifth Three Kingdoms scene card, Xie Mingzhe chose "Falling Phoenix Slope".
Luofengpo is a beautiful hillside. Legend has it that this is the place where Pang Tong died in battle. At that time, Pang Tong's horse could not be ridden, so Liu Bei kindly lent him his horse. Pang Tong set out on the horse, and the ambushing enemy troops mistakenly thought that this was Liu Bei himself, so they shot Pang Tong to death with random arrows from a distance.
The scene event is a period of time after the game starts, when the ambushing enemy NPCs shoot arrows from both sides of the map, attacking the cards of both players at the same time. The cards hit by the arrows will be "killed in one shot" regardless of their health. The scene arrows cannot be dodged, and the shooting will not stop unless a card is killed. This requires the players to send out some waste cards to "block the arrows" and die according to the actual situation.
Compared to the scenes that we had done before, such as making the card pregnant, the scene design proposed by Xie Mingzhe this time is much more normal.
The flooding of Xia Pi City, the fire of the Battle of Red Cliffs, the random alternation of positive and negative states in the Bagua Formation, the locking of the cards at Tongque Terrace, and the ambush and kill at Luofeng Slope are all scene cards that require great skills in actual combat.
Qin Xuan was used to Xie Mingzhe's weird ideas when he was making scenes, so he was a little more normal this time, which made him feel strange. But at this moment, Xie Mingzhe suddenly had an idea and said with a smile: "There is another scene. I think we can design it like this. We can make a scene with a blue Wei area, a red Shu area, and a green Wu area. It's called - Three Kingdoms."
This scene finally restores Xie Mingzhe's consistent style.
After the game starts, the entire arena is randomly divided into three areas: Wei, Shu, and Wu. The players' cards will also be forcibly divided into three camps. Different camps cannot meet each other for the time being. This will cause an unbalanced situation in which in one camp, our 2 cards are against the enemy's 5 cards, while in another camp, our 5 cards are against the enemy's 2 cards. This is equivalent to forcibly dividing the battlefield.
It doesn't have much impact on clubs with strong individual combat capabilities, but for those clubs that need a lot of cards to control the field, being forced to be divided into three small battlefields is simply fatal!
Qin Xuan sighed and decided not to have too high expectations on Xie Mingzhe. This guy’s thinking would never remain normal for too long!
***
Xie Mingzhe particularly admired Qin Xuan's efficiency. Qin Xuan completed the production of six Three Kingdoms-themed scene cards in just two weeks. The modeled scenes were extremely realistic, making Xie Mingzhe feel as if he had returned to the Three Kingdoms era when heroes fought for supremacy.
His favorite is the "Three Kingdoms" map, which recreates the scene of the struggle for hegemony among Wei, Shu and Wu. The territories of the three countries were also drawn by Xie Mingzhe based on his memory, and 90% of the boundaries of the three major forces at that time were restored.
In addition to these newly added event scene cards, Xie Mingzhe had another idea. He asked Qin Xuan, "How is the scene splicing of the Grand View Garden going?"
Qin Xuan said: "Only 50% is completed."
The Grand View Garden series of scene cards that Xie Mingzhe asked him to make had already been completed, but the difficulty of "scene splicing" was too great. Xie Mingzhe provided him with a floor plan with the locations of small scenes such as Xiaoxiang Pavilion and Yihong Courtyard. Qin Xuan made a huge space and filled these already made scenes according to the distribution map, but the transition space between the scenes was all blank and had to be filled with a lot of materials.
After detailed discussions between Qin Xuan and Xie Mingzhe, different scene materials such as pavilions, pools, green shades, and jungle paths were added between each small courtyard. The unprecedented scene map of the Grand View Garden gradually became richer and more complete as the details were filled in bit by bit.
Qin Xuan was busy until mid-March when he finally announced that the Grand View Garden was completed!
This map is larger than the 30-player team instance in the game, and more than ten times larger than the scene maps usually submitted by major clubs. It is foreseeable that the official map designers will be amazed when this map is submitted for review.
The completion of the Grand View Garden made Xie Mingzhe extremely excited, and the scenes in his mind could finally be perfectly presented in the Grand View Garden.
The first is the "Search of the Grand View Garden" incident. Under the order of Mrs. Wang, Wang Xifeng led people to search the Grand View Garden. All cards had to be checked one by one. The checked cards had to stand at attention for 3 seconds. Every card had a share. When the scene event was triggered, the audience might see a weird scene of cards standing at attention one after another.
Secondly, there is the "Grandma Liu Visits the Grand View Garden" incident.
Xie Mingzhe asked Qin Xuan to capture a large scene in the Grand View Garden and make a "dynamic scene map".
The official only stipulates that the scene map must be fair, but it does not stipulate that the scene map must be fixed in a certain limited space. Therefore, Xie Mingzhe decided to make a dynamic scene that is more complicated than the Bagua array. Of course, since the real-time calculation of the dynamic scene is too troublesome, he did not want to embarrass the official programmers, so he asked Qin Xuan to select the scene that is the simplest part of the scenery in the Grand View Garden.
At the beginning, there is a wide open space for players to summon cards and adjust their positions. After the open space, there is a wide stone bridge. After crossing the stone bridge, there is a round pavilion with a large area, which is the location of the final battle.
Dynamic scenes are also accompanied by dynamic events.
One minute into the game, the NPC "Grandma Liu" will appear on the scene. She is an uneducated country woman, and her character setting was drawn by Xie Mingzhe himself. The Grandma Liu in the drawing has a hunched back and simple clothes, which is indeed in line with the setting of a village woman.
Since she had never seen the market before, when she first came to the magnificent Grand View Garden, Granny Liu looked around with great curiosity. When NPC Granny Liu appeared, in order to show Granny Liu how rich she was, the player had to summon a hidden card within 3 seconds, otherwise Granny Liu would forcefully drag a random hidden card to the battlefield and make the hidden card lose its skill for 5 seconds.
The effect of this scene is "forced summoning of hidden cards". Everyone has to summon one card, which is fair to both parties.
However, the reason why hidden cards are important in actual combat is because of their "surprise". For example, in the final of the Masters Tournament with Chen Xiao, if Xie Mingzhe's Qin Keqing was dragged out by Granny Liu in advance, could she still successfully trigger the death skill? As long as the opponent is prepared, Qin Keqing will not be able to hang the opponent's card.
The setting of "forced summoning of hidden cards" by Granny Liu is to deal with some teams with particularly powerful hidden cards - such as Liushuangcheng that hides key deathrattle cards, Guiyu that hides key assassination cards, etc.
Of course, Granny Liu will also let Nirvana summon her hidden cards, so you need to design the deck according to the time when Granny Liu appears and prepare for it in advance.
After Granny Liu enters the Grand View Garden, not only will the players be forced to summon their hidden cards, but they will also be required to accompany Granny Liu to visit the Grand View Garden - the scene requires that all cards must be within a 30-meter range of Granny Liu. Cards that leave the range will be expelled from the Grand View Garden arena.
——It is basic courtesy to accompany the elderly shopping.
Follow Granny Liu across the stone bridge and arrive at the final battle site. Granny Liu is very happy, so she sits there and tells jokes. Every 30 seconds, Granny Liu tells a joke, and all the cards in the scene fall into a "laughing" state for 5 seconds, unable to make any attacks.
By the time they reached the final battle site, the players were already exhausted after going through the two stages of being forced to call hidden cards and accompanying the elderly on a shopping spree. They also had to listen to the elderly telling jokes, which was a huge test of the players' psychological endurance.
Impatient players might want to throw their helmets away and leave!
Old lady, can you please let us play the game properly?
The dynamic scene of Granny Liu entering the Grand View Garden is the most troublesome of all the scenes in Nirvana, and of course the most complicated to operate. Even if it can pass the official review, Xie Mingzhe dare not use it easily. But at least, he realized his wish in this scene, recreated the grand scene of the Grand View Garden, and added Granny Liu, a lively NPC.
By the time all the settings were completed, it was already March 20th, and the scene review period stipulated by the league was about to end.
Xie Mingzhe and Qin Xuan immediately compressed all the Nirvana scene cards and sent them to the alliance.
On the evening of March 20th, Star Card official headquarters, map designer department.
Seeing that the scene package sent by Nirvana Club was several dozen GB in size, more than ten times that of other clubs, the map design director suddenly had a bad feeling. He opened it with trembling fingers, and the smile on his face gradually shattered: "………………"
The subordinate smiled and said, "Boss, Nirvana was the last one to be submitted, right? They are a newly established club, so they must not have made many maps. Can we finish reviewing it tomorrow and take a break early?"
The design director's face was as stiff as a statue: "Holiday? You think too much, everyone will work overtime from now on!"
The director of the card data review department next door happened to hear this when he passed by. He couldn't help but smile and thought with a happy face: It's your turn now? Come on, don't get mad.
The author has something to say:
Xie Mingzhe: Our scene pictures are fun, right? :)
