Chapter 284 Linkage Card

When Xie Mingzhe was very young, he read the comic book of Water Margin and watched the oldest version of the TV series. The ending song was "Heroes' Song" sung by Liu Huan. The lyrics of "The Great River Flows Eastward" were particularly catchy and were often heard in KTV. When he was a freshman, the coursework was relatively easy. He read the original novel several times when he was free and was familiar with the heroic stories of the Liangshan heroes.

The first Water Margin card he made was "Wu Song", which attracted the attention of the Arbitration Club and led to his acquaintance with Nie Yuandao and Shan Lan. The cards he made later were mostly based on the Dream of the Red Chamber, the Three Kingdoms and myths and legends. Currently, he has only made one character from the Water Margin, Wu Song, and there are still a lot of character cards that can be designed.

When talking about the heroes of Liangshan, the first card to be made is naturally their leader - Song Jiang.

Song Jiang is the third leader of Liangshan. He is known as "Timely Rain" in Jianghu. He is given this title because he is generous and often helps others in times of crisis. Not only is he very generous financially and gives people money lavishly, he also encourages and supports others spiritually, making the people he helps feel that they have met a confidant.

It can be seen that Song Jiang is very good at dealing with people, has high emotional intelligence, and is thoughtful in dealing with things. Therefore, in the Liangshan Mountain where there are many masters, Song Jiang, who is not the best in martial arts and does not have the strongest background, finally became the boss. He is very good at winning people's hearts and is particularly caring for his brothers. The heroes of Liangshan Mountain are all convinced by him and call him brother all the time.

Song Jiang has received mixed reviews. Some people think he is a loyal and principled leader, while others think he is too cowardly, which led to the death of most of the Liangshan heroes. Song Jiang is a contradictory and complex person. He always had the court in his heart and finally accepted the court's amnesty. However, he was persecuted to death by the court he wanted to be loyal to the most. His ending was very tragic.

Xie Mingzhe did not comment on the character, but from the perspective of card design alone, Song Jiang is suitable to be a team support card.

According to the description in the book, Song Jiang has dark skin and is short. Since he is a minor official, he wears the official uniform of the Song Dynasty and looks gentle, friendly and kind. The Song Jiang character card drawn by Xie Mingzhe also fits the setting in the book.

Song Jiang (Earth)

Level: Level 1

Evolution Star Level:★

Use times: 1/1 time

Basic Attributes: HP 2000, Attack 0, Defense 2000, Agility 0, Crit 0%

Additional Skill: Timely Rain (Song Jiang often lends a helping hand to his friends in times of crisis, and is called "Timely Rain" - when Song Jiang is present, if the health of a card on our side is less than 10% and is on the verge of death, Song Jiang can teleport to the front of the card and help the opponent resist a fatal injury and save the opponent from danger; can only help one card resist damage at a time, skill cooldown time is 15 seconds)

Additional Skills: Dispensing Wealth (Song Jiang's family is very rich, and he likes to help others financially. He will take the initiative to provide financial assistance to those who have financial difficulties. When Song Jiang releases the "Dispensing Wealth" skill, he can deduct any proportion of his current health and directly transfer it to the designated teammate; the cooldown time is 10 seconds)

Additional Skill: Gathering Friends (Song Jiang is very loyal and values brotherhood. When there are two or more friendly cards within a 5-meter range around him, the "Gathering Friends" skill is triggered, and a defense shield of "number of friendly cards × 10% of his basic defense" is generated on his body, with a maximum increase of 10×10%=100%; passive skills will be automatically triggered according to the number of teammates around him)

In designing this card, Xie Mingzhe used the idea of earth-based auxiliary cards.

The first skill "Timely Rain" has a short cooldown time and can be triggered multiple times in actual combat. It can teleport to block damage to teammates in critical moments, allowing teammates to save their lives at the critical moment.

The second skill "Shucai" is a typical "selling blood for treatment", using one's own blood to replenish teammates' blood. Since Song Jiang has a high blood volume, the 10% of his blood volume transferred to teammates for treatment is also considerable. And the "random transfer" setting also makes Song Jiang's card more flexible. When the pressure is not too great, he can transfer 10% of his blood volume at a time to increase his blood line. When the pressure is high, he can even transfer all his remaining blood volume to teammates and then commit suicide.

The design of the third skill "Gathering Heroes" is quite innovative, giving Song Jiang extremely strong survivability - as long as there are teammates around, Song Jiang's defense will be automatically improved, and the improvement data is related to the number of teammates. When there are more teammates, Song Jiang hides in the crowd, and the 100% defense improvement is like a thick skin like a city wall, which is impossible to be attacked!

This is also consistent with Song Jiang's personality - his own martial arts skills are very low, and as the leader of Liangshan, he relies on his brothers to fight.

Song Jiang is protected by his teammates. He hides in the crowd to replenish blood, and can go out to help his teammates block damage when necessary. His presence will greatly improve our team's tolerance rate, and he can be regarded as a "powerful nanny" in team battles.

The main function of this card is to sacrifice health to protect teammates, so Xie Mingzhe stacked the health and defense to the maximum value.

Being Song Jiang, he naturally cannot be without his good brother Li Kui.

Li Kui's nickname is "Iron Bull" and he is known as "Black Whirlwind" in the Jianghu. He is generous, loyal and straightforward, but also prone to conflict, recklessness and belligerence. He escaped after killing someone and ended up in Jiangzhou, where he happened to meet Song Jiang who was also exiled to Jiangzhou. Li Kui loved gambling and lost all his belongings. Song Jiang appreciated his straightforward character and lent him money to gamble, saying "You can ask me for money if you don't have enough money in the future." Li Kui admired the generosity of "Boss Song" very much, and from then on he and Song Jiang became good brothers.

Regarding Li Kui, there are two very exciting stories in Water Margin, and Xie Mingzhe wanted to choose them as material for card making.

First, after he went to Liangshan, he missed his mother very much, so he went home specially to bring his blind old mother to Liangshan to live a good life. As a result, when passing by Yiling, Li Kui put his mother down to give her water to drink. When he came back, he found that his mother had been eaten by a tiger, leaving only clothes and bones. Li Kui looked at his mother's clothes and was furious. In anger, he followed the bloodstains and killed a den of tigers for revenge!

There are two heroes who killed tigers in Water Margin. Wu Song killed a tiger while drunk in Jingyang Hill, while Li Kui killed a den of four tigers in a row after losing his mother and feeling grief-stricken. Wu Song has been made into an instant-death card, which triggers an instant-death judgment against a single beast; Li Kui can be made into a group-attack card that targets a group of beasts, causing extra damage to the judge of those groups of beasts.

The second thing is that Li Kui is very loyal. After learning that Song Jiang is in danger, he ran to the execution ground alone and chopped down several executioners in succession. He is very fierce. This can be made into a cooperative skill. When our card is in danger, let Li Kui go to the execution ground to chopped down the opponent, which can be perfectly matched with Song Jiang's skills.

In future games, once a card is in danger, Song Jiang will step forward to protect it personally, and Li Kui will teleport over to chop down the opponent - with the existence of these two cards, Song Jiang and Li Kui, if the opponent wants to kill our cards, he will lose 800 of his own for every 1,000 he kills.

Li Kui's ending was rather tragic. Song Jiang was forced by court officials to drink poisoned "Jiejiu". Knowing that he would die from the poisoning, he was afraid that this reckless brother would avenge him, so he also gave Li Kui a cup of poisoned wine, so that Li Kui would die with him to avoid future troubles.

This approach was extremely cruel, but Li Kui had no complaints about it. After learning the truth, he said: "I followed my brother in battles during his lifetime, and after I die, I am willing to be a little devil under my brother's command" - this shows his loyalty to Song Jiang.

This story can be made into a crossover, where when Song Jiang dies, he takes Li Kui with him.

Li Kui (Earth)

Level: Level 1

Evolution Star Level:★

Use times: 1/1 time

Basic Attributes: HP 1000, Attack 1500, Defense 1000, Agility 30, Crit 30%

Additional Skills: Revenge for Mother (Li Kui carried his mother up the mountain, but she was eaten by a beast, leaving only her clothes and bones. Li Kui was furious and decided to avenge his mother - Li Kui enters a frenzy state, increasing his attack power by 50%, attack speed by 50%, and critical damage by 50%, and performs heavy attacks on melee enemies within a range of 5 meters for 5 seconds, with each heavy attack causing 30% earth-type group damage; since his mother was eaten by a beast, when Li Kui attacks a beast target, each heavy attack will add an additional 20% additional damage; cooldown time is 60 seconds)

Additional Skills: Righteous Execution (Li Kui is very loyal. When he learns that his good brother is in danger, he goes to rob the execution ground alone. When the health of our teammate is less than 10%, Li Kui can teleport to the teammate's side and perform a heavy attack on the enemy target that attacks the teammate, causing 280% earth damage to a single target, and kick the opponent down for 1 second, making the opponent unable to release skills; cooldown time is 15 seconds)

Additional Skill: Death by Poisoning (Joint Skill. Song Jiang and Li Kui were good brothers. When Song Jiang died, he was afraid that Li Kui would avenge him, so he gave Li Kui a cup of poisoned wine and let him die with him. When Song Jiang's card dies, Li Kui's card drinks the poisoned wine and dies immediately, and causes a 200% critical hit damage to enemy targets within a range of 23 meters)

Song Jiang's joint skill can also be designed like this - when Song Jiang dies, he will actively pass a cup of poisoned wine to Li Kui, so that Li Kui will die with him. The simultaneous death of the two will trigger a joint action, restoring 50% of the health of friendly targets within a range of 23 meters.

The death linkage of Song Jiang and Li Kui is not as good as the professional deathrattle card because the skill strength of Song Jiang and Li Kui themselves is very high. If the deathrattle skill is too strong, it will be difficult to pass the review, so the linkage of the two can only produce a large group attack + large blood recovery AOE skill.

With the linkage, it will be very difficult for the opponent to kill Song Jiang and Li Kui.

Once Song Jiang is killed, Li Kui will die as well. It is not a good idea to trigger a joint AOE after the two die.

If you don't kill Song Jiang, he will keep using "Timely Rain" to protect you and "Resource Replenishment" to replenish your health, which is particularly annoying. Song Jiang can also sell his health and keep selling himself to death. It's useless for you to stop the two from working together.

These two cards will definitely become hedgehogs that are difficult to deal with in actual combat.

When Song Jiang and Li Kui show up in the future, the Judgment Club will definitely have a lot of opinions - our beast ate your mother? And you come here to take revenge and cause more harm to the beast? Damn, even a fraud is not like this!
