Chapter 686 Accident (Part 2)
Ruan Qi was too lazy to bother with Xiang Fei'er, nor did she want to get entangled with the Liu family too much, so she shook her head and rejected Liu Zheng's invitation.
"I'm a little tired. I'm going back to bed."
After Ruan Qi finished speaking, she turned around and was about to enter the elevator.
Liu Zheng, however, stopped her first: "No, Miss Ruan. It's fate that we met. Can you please give me a favor and let me treat you? That bar is clean, there aren't any random people. Let's have a drink, chat, and exchange some feelings."
Liu Zheng's invitation was very enthusiastic.
But Ruan Qi didn't want to have any emotional exchanges with the Liu family.
She frowned, looking unhappy. "I'm very tired and need to sleep. Please, Mr. Liu, please make way!"
Ruan Qi's tone was not very polite.
Before Liu Zheng could say anything, Xiang Feier's face fell.
"Who are you talking to? Ah Zheng invited you out of kindness, don't be ungrateful!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Liu Zheng shouted, "Fei'er! How dare you talk to Miss Ruan like that?!"
Xiang Fei'er was yelled at and looked aggrieved: "A Zheng, I..."
"What do you mean? Apologize to Miss Ruan quickly!" Liu Zheng pulled her.
Xiang Fei'er was pulled and staggered, her upper body bent forward, and it looked like she was bowing to Ruan Qi.
Ruan Qi was afraid that she would bump into him, so he quickly took a step back.
"Miss Ruan, Fei'er is stupid, don't take it to heart." After Liu Zheng yelled at Xiang Fei'er, he looked at Ruan Qi in a gentle voice, "Miss Ruan, if you are tired, go back and rest early. We will meet again another day."
Ruan Qi's scalp tingled at Liu Zheng's gentle tone. She didn't even wait for the elevator, but turned around and rushed into the stairwell as if there was a wild dog chasing her.
Liu Zheng looked at her back as she quickly left. The smile on his lips gradually faded and his eyes narrowed.
Xiang Fei'er's arm was hurt by being pulled just now. She looked towards the stairwell with hatred and blamed Ruan Qi for it.
"A Zheng, that Ruan Qi seems to not want to pay attention to us." Xiang Fei'er instigated implicitly.
Liu Zheng retracted his gaze, his eyes darkening slightly. "Ruan Qi has made it big in so many circles. Do you think she's as big-breasted and brainless as you?"
Xiang Fei'er was choked by the retort.
She really didn't like the way Liu Zheng compared her to Ruan Qi. Liu Zheng's tone made it seem like she was just a dependent accessory, while Ruan Qi was a queen who was so high and mighty that even the rich and powerful looked her in the eye.
They are both little stars, and Ruan Qi just has a good brother. Why should she be superior to her?
Xiang Fei'er was dissatisfied and continued to instigate with a pout: "Ruan Qi doesn't want to pay attention to us, Zheng, do you still want your sister to marry her brother? It seems that Ruan Qi will not accept this sister-in-law."
Liu Zheng: "It's not Ruan Qi's decision whether to accept it or not. As long as Ruan Munan likes it, that's fine."
"But we can't see Ruan Munan."
Liu Zheng narrowed his eyes and said, "If we can't meet, then we can create an opportunity to meet. Ruan Qi is filming on the set. If something happens to her, are you afraid that Ruan Munan won't come to see his sister?"
When Xiang Fei'er heard this, she thought: "A Zheng, what you mean is..."
"The crew is busy and there are always some accidents during filming." Liu Zheng looked at her deeply and said with a smile, "Money talks. There are so many staff on the set, someone will help us fulfill our wish."
…
Ruan Qi had a good sleep.
The next morning, she was pulled out of bed by Mo Lan. After washing and having breakfast, she went to the set.
Although Xu Mei is a supporting role, her character is very contradictory and the plot has a strong sense of conflict, so the time and energy required to shoot it is no less than that of the protagonist.
For the entire morning, director Yang Lin and Ruan Qi kept polishing the plot, shooting a scene seven or eight times before achieving the most satisfactory effect.
After this scene was finished, it was time for lunch break.
The set was too cold, so Ruan Qi took her lunch box back to the car. After eating, she took a nap and then returned to the set to start working on the next scene.
The plot to be filmed this afternoon is about Xu Mei who is caught up in a mystery. In order to silence her, the mastermind knocks her and her friend unconscious and throws them into an abandoned house, intending to burn them to death.
In order to ensure the best shooting effect, Yang Lin discussed with the assistant director and finally decided to use real fire.
"The fire is in the living room and kitchen, and Xu Mei is unconscious in the bedroom. If she wants to escape, she'll have to walk through the flames." Yang Lin pointed at the storyboard and asked Ruan Qi worriedly, "Are you sure you don't need a body double? Although the fire is within our control, the sparks could burn you."
Ruan Qi glanced at the storyboard and shook her head. "No need for a body double. Director Yang, don't worry. As long as you guys control the fire, I can protect myself."
Seeing that she had made up her mind, Yang Lin stopped trying to persuade her.
While filming fire scenes is dangerous, to avoid injury to the actors, the crew will keep the fire within the safest possible range. Combined with camera angles and filming techniques, as well as the use of smoke and flames, even a large fire can create a life-or-death fire scene.
Soon, all the staff members from each group were in place.
Ruan Qi and the actress who played her friend changed their clothes and lay down in the bedroom of the abandoned house.
The script supervisor called out 'action' and the shooting began.
The thick black smoke, like the shadow of death, silently crept into the bedroom through the crack in the door.
On the big bed, two young girls were breathing heavily, unconsciously falling into a nightmare.
The smoke grew thicker and thicker. Xu Mei, who was lying on the bed, frowned and started coughing violently due to the choking.
She opened her eyes drowsily, only to feel pain in her chest and head from the smoke.
Xu Mei spent half a minute trying to wake herself up. She held up her heavy eyelids and saw the thick smoke filling the room.
On fire.
This was Xu Mei’s first thought after seeing the thick smoke.
She quickly sat up from the bed, but because the drug had not yet worn off, she felt dizzy and fell back.
Xu Mei lay on the bed, took two labored breaths, and pinched herself hard to regain some consciousness.
She pushed her friend hard, but her friend was still sleeping soundly and showed no sign of waking up.
The smoke in the room became increasingly choking. Xu Mei didn't dare wait any longer, so she pulled her unconscious friend up and helped her rush to the bedroom door.
Xu Mei held her friend with one hand and grabbed the door handle with the other.
hiss--!
The metal door handle was stained by the high temperature of the flames, burning Xu Mei's palm so much that it felt like it was being torn apart.
Her hand flinched as if struck by electricity. The increasingly thick black smoke left her no time to examine the burn on her palm. Xu Mei grabbed the hem of her T-shirt and placed it on the doorknob, twisting it open with all her might.
The door opened and the scorching heat in the living room hit me in the face.
The flames in the sky reflected on Xu Mei's face, and the ruthless flames jumped on the furniture and curtains in the living room, roaring as if to devour Xu Mei.
