Chapter 889 Girl, you are so confident
Old Alfat's expression changed again.
He looked at the little girl on the bed with scrutiny, his green eyes full of vigilance and alertness.
"Miss Ruan, who are you?"
"My name is Ruan Qi, and I'm Chinese. As for my identity, Mr. Alfat should have checked it a long time ago." Ruan Qi replied with a smile.
Old Alfate's eyes flickered slightly.
"I did investigate Miss Ruan," he said slowly, "but I didn't find out that you were the fiancée of the head of the Xi family in China, nor did I find out that you knew Simon Austin from Solomon."
"Ms. Ruan, your background information doesn't seem accurate. Therefore, I have reason to doubt your identity and intentions."
Old Alfate's tone was filled with strong vigilance, and Ruan Qi raised her pink lips and let out a chuckle.
"Mr. Arafat, I have no hostility towards you, and saving Abed was purely coincidental. I'm chatting with you privately because I want to get information about those people from you."
Old Alfate: "Why are you asking about those people?"
"Because they are my enemies." A sharp gleam slowly appeared in the delicate girl's eyes. "My parents and brother almost died at their hands. And all these years, they have never given up on tracking down my family."
As she spoke, she raised her head and said, "Mr. Alfat, your brother also died because of them. I think you should understand how much hatred I have in my heart."
Old Alfat didn't expect that this seemingly fragile little girl actually had such a story.
He raised his eyebrows unexpectedly, and the background information about Ruan Qi that he had asked his assistant to investigate a few days ago popped into his mind.
My family lives in a rural area in China and my parents are farmers.
“…” What a fucking farmer.
The beasts who killed his brother pursued him for twenty years just to kill a farmer?
Are you tired of eating it?
Old Alfat felt that the assistant who was looking up information for him could really be fired.
If it can’t even distinguish true from false information, what’s the use of it?
The handsome blond middle-aged man mentally fired his assistant three times. He looked at Ruan Qi with a calm expression and said slowly, "Miss Ruan, I sympathize with your situation. But I'm sorry, I can't tell you the information about those people."
Ruan Qi: "Why?"
"Those people are terrifying." Old Alfat's face was filled with deep fear. "I've been investigating for nearly ten years and have only uncovered a few clues. They are extremely vigilant, and their power is even more terrifying than I imagined. Miss Ruan, you saved Abed. So, out of kindness, I suggest you stay out of this matter."
The man's words were very euphemistic, but Ruan Qi accurately grasped his central idea.
You are not capable enough, and if you intervene rashly you will die miserably.
The little girl felt a little awkward when her ability was questioned.
She blinked her beautiful peach blossom eyes and asked, "Mr. Alfate, are you saying I'm not good enough?"
Old Alfate: "..."
Just talk, why did you suddenly start driving?
The middle-aged man, who was very proficient in the Chinese language, didn't know how to respond for a moment.
Seeing that he didn't say anything, Ruan Qi continued, "I think I am capable enough to intervene in this matter, and I will be a great help to you."
Old Alfat frowned slightly when he heard this.
"Miss Ruan," he said, "are you planning to ask Mr. Xi for help?"
With the intervention of the Xi family of China, this matter is indeed more certain.
Old Alfat thought this method was feasible, but before he could nod, the girl opposite shook her head.
"No, this is my business. Why should I ask Jiujiu for help?"
Old Alfate: "So what you mean is..."
"I'll deal with my parents' enemies myself!" The delicate girl said firmly, "I have enough ability to handle these things!"
Old Alfate: "..."
Girl, you are so confident.
I really envy you.
------Digression------
Ruan Xiaoqi: You say I can’t do it?
Old Alfate [touched his loose back teeth]: Okay!
Author's Note: Today, the doctor's CT scan of my mother's lesion yielded a preliminary diagnosis: precancerous lesions. Fortunately, it was discovered in time, and surgery was able to cure it. If it had been discovered two years later, it would have been hard to say.
When I heard the diagnosis, I felt a mixture of sadness and joy. Sad that my mother had contracted this disease, but happy that it was discovered early.
Honestly, I've lived half my life and made many decisions, most of which I didn't put much thought into. Including this impulsive decision to take my mother for a CT scan. I never considered there might be anything seriously wrong with her health. But after the diagnosis came back today, I'm incredibly grateful for my decision. At this moment, the words "discovered in time" and "curable" are like heavenly music to my family.
There will be further tests. I've contacted a highly skilled thoracic surgeon today. He instructed me to do another 3D-enhanced CT scan in two weeks, and he'll provide a more detailed diagnosis. Surgery may be necessary, and there are many other things to arrange. I shouldn't have any issues in the two weeks before the 3D-enhanced CT scan. I'll try to update as often as possible, but it depends on the situation. Mom isn't feeling well, so I'll probably spend more time with her.
Finally, thank you all again for listening to me. My parents were upset, and I had to comfort them, so I didn't dare cry. Sharing this with you has relieved me of much pressure. Thank you.
