Chapter 680 One Month

Over the past twenty years, time has not taken anything away from him; instead, it has bestowed upon him a charming maturity.

Hart, however, looked like he had lived forty years in twenty. His face was covered in wrinkles, and he walked unsteadily, as if he might collapse at any moment.

His eyebrows had turned white, and his golden hair was mixed with many white hairs, making him look extremely old.

The two stood together. Those who knew them would recognize them as being the same age, while those who didn't would surely mistakenly think that Hart and Li Yuan's grandfather were from the same generation.

Upon seeing Li Yuan, whose face hadn't changed much in twenty years, Hart was stunned for the first time, unable to conceal the panic in his eyes.

He fled for twenty years, but in the end he still couldn't escape Ling Yin's grasp.

Li Yuan remained calm and stared at him with composure: "What deal did Ferenc make with the Luo family back then?"

“…” Hart was even more astonished upon hearing this.

He knew? How could he possibly know!

The cooperation between Mr. Ferenc and the Lo family was a top secret. If he hadn't been Mr. Ferenc's most capable assistant back then, he wouldn't have been qualified to know about it.

Coming to his senses, Hart gave a cold laugh: "I'm not telling you, Ling Yin. The more you want to know, the less I'll tell you, hahahahaha... cough cough cough!"

He laughed so hard that he choked on his own saliva and coughed violently.

Li Yuan still showed no anger, but merely lowered his gaze to conceal the coldness in his eyes.

His daughter is still here; he can't frighten her.

Charleson gave a signal, and several bodyguards immediately went up. Two of them pulled Hart up and held him down, while the other took a cup and a kettle from the coffee table, poured a full cup of water, and poured it on Hart without saying a word.

"Cough cough cough..."

Charles, standing beside him, remained as calm as his master, his hands folded in front of him, a slight smile on his face, seemingly in a good mood.

“Mr. Hart must be confused because he hasn’t seen the sun for years. It’s alright, we’ll help Mr. Hart clear his head.”

"Pfft, cough cough cough..." Hart tried to wipe the water off his face, but his hands were held tightly behind his back.

He glared angrily at Li Yuan, gritting his teeth: "I absolutely will not tell you!"

"Is that so?" Li Yuan merely raised an eyebrow, his smile making Hart uneasy.

While Hart was unaware of what Li Yuan was planning to do, he calmly spoke up.

Do you know how Ferenc died?

"..." Needless to say, Mr. Ferenc was killed by Ling Yin-Wollens!

That's why Hart looked at Li Yuan with even more resentment.

Seemingly oblivious to his hatred, Li Yuan slightly curled his lips, speaking as if he were recounting someone else's story, extremely casually.

"I told him I was willing to give him a chance. If he could survive a month, I would let him go and never hunt him down again. Guess what happened next?"

“…” Hart stared at Li Yuan without saying a word. He knew that Ling Yin would definitely tell him.

Sure enough, Li Yuan said calmly, "In just five days, he knelt on the ground begging me to kill him."

Li Yuan casually curled his lips, and with his smile at that moment, he looked exactly like the King of Hell who had just emerged from hell.

Some things don't need to be said explicitly to cause panic.

“I refused.” His tone was as cheerful as ever: “I said one month and I meant one month.”
