The surveillance footage was quickly retrieved, showing that only one cleaning staff member had come in to clean the house since Eddie left in the morning.
The cleaning staff member was wearing a white uniform, a hat, and a mask, making her quite inconspicuous. Her face was not visible, but she was slightly overweight and clearly a woman.
Even the manager watched the video several times and still couldn't recognize who it was.
She entered the room carrying an opaque, bulging bag; judging by how she held it, it must have been quite heavy. She stayed inside for half an hour before emerging, and without going to any other rooms, immediately pushed her cart away.
This is enough to prove that she is not a cleaner, and the bag she is carrying is most likely a camera and tools she brought.
"Investigate!" Eddie's face was terrible.
His bodyguards didn't dare delay and immediately went to investigate.
Eddie rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on. He had a very important social engagement that evening, and he had hoped to get some rest. Now, all his precious time was being wasted on these trivial matters.
The assistant immediately opened the room next door, and Eddie quickly went to rest.
...
In one of the rooms on this floor, Mu Minmin sat cross-legged on the floor, staring intently at Eddie on the computer screen as he unbuttoned his shirt.
No wonder he's the man Mu Minmin has her eye on; his looks, physique, and family background are all top-notch.
She opened another notebook, which contained Eddie's itinerary for the past few days, something she had painstakingly obtained.
In fact, Mu Minmin had been secretly following Eddie for the past few days, and had thoroughly figured out his life.
The video had already shown Eddie's furious reaction after discovering the camera, but Mu Minmin was not afraid at all; instead, she was laughing happily, showing no concern whatsoever about being found out.
She grabbed the bag next to her, picked up a spray bottle from inside, and her eyes gleamed with a determined madness.
"Brother Eddie, you're mine! I'm going to make you acknowledge my identity in front of the whole world!"
After talking to herself, she picked up her phone and dialed a number.
"Come at six o'clock sharp tomorrow morning..."
………………
That evening, Eddie returned to the hotel drunk. His secretary was downstairs handling the paperwork, so he went upstairs alone to rest.
Reaching the door, Eddie took out his room key from his pocket, opened the door, and went inside.
It was pitch black inside, but a pleasant fragrance filled the air, which made Eddie's nose tingle.
He was about to turn on the light when suddenly someone hugged him from behind.
"Brother Eddie, I love you, will you marry me..."
Eddie shoved the person away abruptly, sobering up a bit from his slight intoxication.
He immediately realized something was wrong and quickly held his breath, but it was too late.
As the scene before her gradually blurred and her breathing became heavier, she was just one step away from falling into Mu Minmin's carefully designed trap when, thankfully, a last shred of clarity took hold.
He turned and strode towards the door, flung it open, and quickly slammed it shut behind him.
He didn't even notice that the room key in his pocket had fallen onto the carpet by the door because of the large movement.
Leaning against the door, Eddie was panting heavily, and his complexion was getting increasingly pale.
Fortunately, the secretary came up at that moment, saw Eddie looking unwell at the door, and immediately rushed over.
"President, what's wrong?"
Upon seeing his secretary, Eddie gripped his hand tightly: "To the hospital! Quickly!"
"Okay!" The secretary didn't dare to delay and immediately took out her phone to contact the driver, then helped Eddie downstairs.
