The materials were prepared, and the time arrived exactly at the agreed meeting time.
Zhou Siyu got up early in the morning and rummaged through her wardrobe. After searching for a while, she finally chose a royal blue suit. After tidying up her messy hair, Zhou Siyu put on her communicator, sprayed some perfume on her wrist, and admired the person in the mirror with satisfaction.
"Beep beep..."
The car horn blared a few times, and Zhou Siyu looked up to see the car waiting outside.
"Sister-in-law, sister-in-law!" Yu Zhen saw Zhou Siyu from afar and rushed into his arms, hugging his face and giving him a big kiss: "I missed you so much."
After saying that, he sniffed again, "You're wearing perfume?"
"Hmm, how is it?"
"Smells good."
Yu Zhen chuckled foolishly, opened the door, and let Zhou Siyu get into the sports car.
"Hey, when did you buy this?"
Zhou Siyu touched the leather seats and looked at the elegant but valuable interior, and couldn't help but gasp in amazement.
"It was a gift from my brother."
Yu Zhen started the car and drove off in one smooth motion, the black sports car speeding away without making a sound.
"Will your car... be able to force self-driving?"
Zhou Siyu drooled as she looked at the gearshift, and unconsciously moved closer, but was stopped by Yu Zhen.
"No way, this is a racing car, it doesn't need autonomous driving." Yu Zhen said while driving, "Sister-in-law, it's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't trust your skills."
Zhou Siyu: "..." What's the difference?
“What I mean is, it would be too undignified for someone of your status to drive yourself. It’s perfectly normal that you can’t drive.” Yu Zhen looked at the traffic light, stepped on the brake, and brought the speeding car to a smooth stop. “Leave driving to me.”
"When did you learn to flatter?" Zhou Siyu raised an eyebrow and flicked Yu Zhen's forehead with a flick: "You don't learn the good things, you only learn these crooked ways."
"I'm just... racking my brains to comfort you and make excuses for you." Yu Zhen handed the documents to Zhou Siyu with a smile and started the car again. "This is the negotiation plan and contract that I just finished yesterday. Take a look and see if there's anything that needs to be changed."
Zhou Siyu carefully read the important clauses, then looked up with satisfaction and said, "Not bad, kid. You're ruthless when it comes to taking advantage of your brother."
Every clause in the contract was highly favorable to Zhou Siyu, and every clause would cause Yu Wei to suffer heavy losses.
"There are no family members in the business world." Yu Zhen turned the corner, gripping the steering wheel with one hand. "Besides, even my brother might not go easy on us."
"Aren't you afraid your brother will beat you up if you do this?"
"I'm not afraid at all." Yu Zhen smiled slightly, steadily stopped the car, and said slyly, "I'll just say that you made me write it this way."
"You're pretty good at shirking responsibility."
Zhou Siyu rolled her eyes. As soon as she got out of the car, she noticed three camouflage SUVs parked behind her, their gold emblems on the front practically blinding.
The car doors opened in unison, and four people stepped out of each car, all dressed in crisp military green uniforms with their leather shoes polished to a shine.
Zhou Siyu frowned imperceptibly. Apart from Wu Ming, who was in the lead, he didn't recognize any of the people in this group.
"President Yu, it's been a long time."
Wu Ming reached out his hand, and Yu Zhen hesitated before glancing at Zhou Siyu.
Seeing this, Wu Ming smiled and looked at Zhou Siyu, asking, "And who is this?"
“He is our CEO, Zhou.” Yu Zhen winked and gestured for Wu Ming to shake hands with Zhou Siyu.
"Oh, so it's President Zhou." Wu Ming withdrew his hand, then extended it again: "I'm sorry, President Zhou."
"It's alright." Zhou Siyu smiled and reached out to shake Wu Ming's hand. "Long time no see, General Wu."
Wu Ming nodded, somewhat surprised. He had heard that Zhou Siyu had voluntarily dedicated herself to science, deliberately contracting the Kao virus and making significant contributions to solving the Kao virus problem.
"Long time no see, Mr. Zhou."
Wu Ming smiled, and Zhou Siyu nodded, glancing at the door of the Zhou Group building. "Please."
"Mr. Zhou, please."
The two walked in side by side, talking like old friends.
Yu Zhen followed behind Zhou Siyu and gave the receptionist in the lobby a wink. The receptionist nodded and made a phone call to Li Jing after the group stepped onto the elevator.
Li Jing and her team waited early in the conference room, placed the prepared contract on the round table, and had the secretary lead them to their seats.
Zhou Siyu, Li Jing, and Yu Zhen sat on one side of the table, while Wu Ming and several others sat on the other side. The rest of the people sat in two rows behind their respective leaders.
“Since we all know each other, I won’t waste any more words.” Wu Ming looked at the contract, raised his head and said, “We can’t agree to Mr. Zhou’s conditions.”
"General Wu, your words are too absolute. Why don't we discuss this first?"
"The committee discussed the draft contract and unanimously decided to disagree with the following clauses: 1. Granting the Zhou family a fifty-year right to sell arms and weapons; 2. Allowing the Zhou family to invest in the weapons research institute; 3. Allowing the Zhou family to develop the resource area of the Third Star Sector alone after the war..."
Wu Ming rattled off four or five points. When he saw the contract, he thought Zhou Siyu must have gone mad; these clauses were simply impossible to fulfill.
"In addition, we have prepared a contract for your review."
Wu Ming gave his subordinates a wink, and they took out the contracts and distributed them one by one.
Zhou Siyu carefully examined the contract, then exchanged glances with Li Jing and Yu Zhen.
“Since we’re discussing cooperation, let’s not say too much.” Li Jing put down the contract and said, “General Wu, don’t you think your terms are a bit excessive?”
"The Zhou family has invested countless sums of money in this technology. General Wu's conditions and the Zhou family's principal were not enough, let alone other values."
"Who knows what the future value will be?" Wu Ming smiled slightly, flipping through the contract. "Don't you think so, President Zhou?"
