Chapter 157 Handling Business Officially

"Regarding the second item, the resource development rights for the second star zone requested by President Zhou, after discussion by the committee, it can be developed in cooperation with the Zhou family. In terms of revenue, the military, the Zhou family, and the government will each receive 30%, and the remaining 10% will be distributed to the citizens of the alliance."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Siyu frowned. Yu Wei had dragged the Lin family into this, which was not in his best interest.

Logically, after the war, the Third Star Sector should have been occupied by the military, and Yu Wei could do whatever he wanted with it. However, the military could not simply abandon the government headed by the Lin family, which would cause controversy, nor could it allow the Lin family to become too powerful. Therefore, it had to bring Zhou Siyu in as well to check and balance the Lin family.

Wu Ming took a sip of tea. Yu Wei's move directly determined the post-war ruling structure, with the Yu family at the top, followed by the Lin and Zhou families, and the three families sharing the spoils.

“Chairman Yu is very kind.” Zhou Siyu put down the contract and took a sip of tea. “However, in my opinion, a contract with a percentage of less than 50% is a failed contract.”

"Mr. Zhou can consider it."

Yu Wei nodded. The conditions he offered Zhou Siyu were quite good. If it weren't for Grandpa Yu's support, Zhou Siyu would never have had any access to resources.

Zhou Siyu has his own interests to pursue, and he also has his own stance, which he will not abandon or change for.

The group then negotiated several other items, and the two sides argued back and forth fiercely.

Yu Wei smiled, occasionally sipping his tea, glancing at the contract, and checking the time, but he didn't look at Zhou Siyu.

Zhou Siyu was furious. Was the contract more attractive than his? Was the communicator more attractive than his? Was the teacup more attractive than his?

Neither of them looks good, so why doesn't he look at himself?

Fueled by anger, Zhou Siyu unleashed her full power, engaging in a fierce debate with the assembled scholars.

Yu Zhen, standing outside the door, felt a chill run down her spine. She checked the time and knocked on the door. "Um... it's lunchtime."

"It's getting late, we'll head back now."

Yu Wei put down his teacup, stood up, straightened his clothes, and nodded to Zhou Siyu with a smile.

Zhou Siyu tossed her hair and walked up to Yu Wei, blocking his way. "Yu Zhen has booked a restaurant. Would you do me the honor?"

"Respect is not as good as obedience."

Yu Wei nodded and extended his hand: "Please lead the way, Mr. Zhou."

Zhou Siyu turned around, rolled her eyes, and tossed the car keys to Yu Zhen, saying, "You drive and lead the way."

"OK."

Yu Zhen nodded, took the key, and stepped into the elevator.

The two elevators arrived at the same time. Zhou Siyu and Yu Wei entered one after the other, while Li Jing and Wu Ming exchanged a glance and squeezed into the other elevator with their group.

The elevator doors slowly closed, and Yu Wei frowned, seemingly pondering why they had to squeeze together.

"This is a private ladder for the president; no one else has the right to use it."

Zhou Siyu leaned against the wall of the sedan chair, arms crossed, observing Yu Wei through the reflection in the door, while making up excuses.

"It seems I've come to the wrong place. I'm sorry, Mr. Zhou."

Yu Wei stood upright like a sturdy pine tree, his hands hanging naturally and relaxed at his sides.

“Chairman Yu, aren’t you tired of standing so straight?” Zhou Siyu raised an eyebrow and tugged at Yu Wei’s clothes. “I have an idea, but I don’t know if I should say it.”

"It's not appropriate to say that."

Zhou Siyu was momentarily speechless. She walked up to Yu Wei, approaching him step by step, and glared at him, saying, "I want to talk!"

"Go ahead and speak."

Yu Wei took a step back, glanced at the corner of the elevator, and indicated that there was surveillance footage.

Zhou Siyu rolled her eyes, grabbed Yu Wei's neck, forced his head down, and kissed his lips.

Yu Wei was slightly taken aback, then hugged him and retreated to a blind spot in the surveillance camera's view, responding by holding the back of his head.

Why didn't you watch me dominate the battlefield just now?

Zhou Siyu released Yu Wei, leaned on his shoulder, and breathed slightly.

"You're debating with my people, not just any scholars." Yu Wei ruffled his hair. "You didn't just say that, did you?"

"No way." Zhou Siyu rolled her eyes. "Do you know why I invited you to dinner?"

"have no idea."

Zhou Siyu was speechless for a moment, then angrily punched Yu Wei on the shoulder, "Would it kill you to guess?"

"I don't want to guess."

"Tsk, let me be honest." Zhou Siyu was speechless at Yu Wei. "You see, most of the soldiers in the army are Alpah, but they lack opportunities to interact with the outside world, so..." Zhou Siyu raised an eyebrow: "You know what I mean?"

"You want to be a matchmaker?" Yu Wei frowned, pondered for a moment, and said, "The idea is good, but it's unrealistic."

"What kind of matchmaker am I!" Zhou Siyu wanted to slap Yu Wei twice. "Did you notice the person sitting next to you?"

"Xu Yan? Is there something wrong with him?"

"Tsk." Zhou Siyu said with exasperation, "Didn't you notice that he and Jin Xin hit it off? They kept staring at each other at the negotiating table."

The two were sitting quite close together. When Zhou Siyu bent down to pick up a pen, she accidentally saw their legs intertwined.

"My subordinates' private lives are none of my business."

Yu Wei hadn't noticed; he was busy reviewing the contract and communicating with Grandpa Yu, and had no time to deal with anything else.

"I can't reason with you."

The elevator arrived at the first floor just then. Zhou Siyu snorted and left Yu Wei behind.

Yu Zhen tossed the sports car keys to Zhou Siyu, jumped into the last seat, and waved to Yu Wei, saying, "Chairman Yu, we don't have enough cars, so I'll just hitch a ride with yours."

“Yes, yes, we’re going to eat together anyway, Chairman Yu won’t mind, right?” Li Jing smiled at Yu Wei, then looked at the car behind her and said with feigned difficulty, “It seems there are no seats left.”

Upon hearing this, Yu Wei's subordinate, who was in the same car, was about to get off to offer Yu Wei his seat when Wu Ming, who was sitting next to him, grabbed him and gave him a wink.
