"Mr. Zhou..."
Qi Mo knocked on the door and pressed his ear against it to listen for a while, but there was no response from inside.
Just as he was about to call out again, the door suddenly opened, and Zhou Siyu, with a dark face, asked, "What is it?"
"Someone is coming."
Qi Mo glanced outside the door, and Zhou Siyu followed his gaze. Yu Wen was waving at him.
Inside the coffee shop, elegant cello music played softly as Zhou Siyu slowly stirred her coffee, glancing at Yu Wen across from her.
"You're really brave to come here."
"I just resigned, why can't I come?" Yu Wen picked up his coffee, his gaze passing over the cup and locking onto Zhou Siyu's face. "You've changed a lot."
"Let's get down to business." Zhou Siyu put down her spoon, looked up and met Yu Wen's gaze. "What do you want from me?"
"What do you need from me?" Yu Wen put down his cup and smiled slightly. "I'm here to advise you."
Zhou Siyu raised an eyebrow, indicating that she was very interested.
“Yu Wei’s line has been stretched too far. It will collapse in two months at most. You are a smart person and will not go down a dead end.”
"It's like casting a long line to catch a big fish; who knows what the outcome will be at the last moment?" Zhou Siyu picked up his cup, took a sip, and looked at Yu Wen with a smile. "You know, I'm a very daring person. I don't have many hobbies, but I like to gamble."
“You’re bound to lose this round.” Yu Wen lowered his eyes and looked at the employees coming and going. “You probably don’t want anything to happen to the Zhou family either.”
“I can start another company if it’s gone. It’s no big deal.” Zhou Siyu smiled and shook his head, looking at the employees coming and going. “As long as they are willing, they are still employees of the Zhou family.”
"I'm just afraid you won't have the chance."
"Who knows what the future holds?" Zhou Siyu chuckled, setting down her cup. "Actually, you don't know much about the situation on the front lines, do you?"
Yu Wen didn't speak, but Zhou Siyu could tell from his expression that he had guessed correctly. He continued, "If Yu Wei can only hold on for another two months at most, you don't need to risk stepping in. Just delay for another two months."
Seeing Yu Wen frown, Zhou Siyu leaned forward slightly and said with a smile, "What, didn't your boss tell you the truth?"
Before Yu Wen could speak, Zhou Siyu continued, "You said it yourself, Yu Wei and I are in the same boat. What makes you think I would turn against you?"
Yu Wen was very frustrated. Zhou Siyu knew him too well, and his sense of smell was very sharp, so he couldn't hide it from him at all.
“You’re really bad at negotiating, both in the past and now.” Zhou Siyu looked at the swirling bubbles. “I don’t really understand you. Why are you suddenly leaving?”
"As you might have guessed, I only approached you for the sake of the mission."
Yu Wen lowered his head and sighed softly.
He didn't want to leave either. It was the first time he had experienced the outside world, felt his own worth, and breathed the air of freedom for the first time.
Here, he can stand tall and be an upright person, without worrying about becoming a plaything or an experimental subject.
The rebels operate under a complete leader-led dictatorship; Omega is the leader's private property, and no one is allowed to touch it.
"When did you differentiate into an Omega?" Zhou Siyu sniffed Yu Wen's neck, somewhat puzzled. "Did you have a gland transplant?"
Yu Wen lowered his head, a trace of sorrow flashing in his eyes. Zhou Siyu grabbed his wrist and rolled up his sleeve. Yu Wen tried to pull his hand back in a panic, but pulled at his wound and gasped in pain.
His thin arms were covered with countless needle marks and overlapping blue and purple marks, as well as many other wounds.
"What happened?" Zhou Siyu threw a bill on the table, pulled Yu Wen to his feet, and said, "Come on, let's go to the hospital."
“I’m a wanted criminal.” Yu Wen shook his head. “I’d better leave.”
"You're leaving now!" Zhou Siyu took off her coat and put it over his head. "Come to my house, I'll take care of it for you."
“No need.” Yu Wen shook his head and pointed to the drone in the sky. “They’ve already spotted me. I’ll implicate you.”
“Come to my house! Who’s going to eat you?” Zhou Siyu called Qi Mo and asked him to drive over. She pulled Yu Wen outside and said, “Yu Wei can only arrest people if I agree. If he dares, he can bring people to my house to arrest people.”
As they stepped out of the coffee shop, several drones had already gathered at the entrance, their red rays shining on their faces. Zhou Siyu disdainfully raised his middle finger.
"President Zhou."
Qi Mo parked the car and waved to Zhou Siyu.
Zhou Siyu shoved Yu Wen into the car, got in, and urged, "Hurry up, drive!"
"Mr. Zhou, why are there so many drones filming us?"
Qi Mo was almost scared out of his wits. He hadn't been speeding or driving illegally, so why were there more and more drones?
"Speed up, speed up!" Zhou Siyu glared at Qi Mo. "Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask!"
Qi Mo understood the principle that the more you know, the faster you die. Urged by Zhou Siyu, he stepped on the gas, the engine roared, and the car sped off.
The communicator started flashing, and as soon as Zhou Siyu answered, Grandpa Yu's roar came through, "Xiaoyu, what are you doing? Do you know who's next to you?"
"Grandpa, I know exactly what I'm doing, you don't need to worry..."
"Is this a problem I'm not worried about?" Grandpa Yu was furious. "Release them right now, and I'll deal with the army..."
"I won't let it go." Zhou Siyu shook her head. "I'm sorry, Grandpa, I made you worry."
"Do you know how dangerous he is? He..."
“He is my friend.” Zhou Siyu looked at Yu Wen. “I believe he wouldn’t harm me.”
