“Xiao Yu is an honest and upright child, how could she possibly be interested in such a fickle person?” The woman in work clothes picked up a handful of sunflower seeds and said regretfully, “It’s a pity that the child is already married. I was even planning to match him up with my niece.”
"Nonsense, they clearly don't like your niece." The apron-wearing woman spat out sunflower seed shells. "Who in the neighborhood has ever seen what Xiao Yu's wife looks like? They're obviously lying to you."
"Sigh, my niece is a teacher, after all. How is she not good enough for this poor boy?"
"You're really not good enough for her."
Zhou Siyu muttered to herself, "Who is Yu Wei? The only son of the Alliance Commander-in-Chief, the Alliance's youngest general. His family background, physique, appearance, and personality are all exceptional."
Besides, with someone as outstanding as herself before him, it would be a miracle if Yu Wei were to even consider someone else.
Zhou Siyu was extremely confident in himself. He was 1.8 meters tall, fair-skinned, beautiful, slim-waisted, and long-legged. He could negotiate and fight off thugs. He was extremely wealthy, highly talented, and knowledgeable in everything from astronomy to geography... cough, I digress.
In short, across all twenty-eight planets in the alliance, no one is more outstanding than him. He and Yu Wei are a match made in heaven! Everyone else... no, not even close!
Just as he was admiring himself, he suddenly caught a glimpse of a bright red sports car stopping in front of the repair shop. Zhou Siyu pursed his lips. It was a TK from two years ago, not even enough for one of his wheels.
The car door was violently pushed open, and in the process, a lucky person riding a bicycle was knocked down.
A young man with short red hair, wearing ripped jeans and a hoodie, got out of the car, took off his headphones, and looked displeased at the undamaged car door.
"Trying to crash into my car in broad daylight? Are you blind?" a deep voice rang out. "It's true what they say, 'bad people come from poor, remote areas,' trying to scam me in broad daylight..."
Zhou Siyu felt wronged on behalf of the person who was beaten. What kind of person is he? He hit someone and didn't apologize. Instead, he had the audacity to accuse the other person of extortion. Does he really think he's some kind of turtle in a wishing well, that everyone wants to touch him?
Also, why would someone weighing just over 100 pounds have the voice of someone weighing 500 pounds? That's an over-the-top mix.
"Are you even being reasonable? You clearly didn't watch where you were going and opened the door, crashing into me!" The man picked up his car, rubbing his bruised area, and sneered, "Young master, could you please stop coming to our little temple all the time?"
"Yang Lie?" After seeing the man's face clearly, the young man snorted coldly, took out a wallet from the car, and threw a handful of money on the ground: "Here, this is a reward for you."
A flash of anger crossed the man named Yang Lie's eyes as he clenched his fists tightly.
"Oh, you think it's too little?" The young man stomped on the money that had fallen to the ground with disdain. "How much is your worthless life worth? Don't be so shameless. Kneel down and pick it up. If I'm in a good mood, I might reward you with more."
Yang Lie's hands were bulging with veins, but after a long while he slowly relaxed them and bent down to pick up the money from the ground.
"That's more like it." The young man smiled and patted Yang Lie's head. "Young Master is in a good mood today and won't hold it against you."
Zhou Siyu's eyes darkened, a hint of amusement flashing across them. He put down the melon seeds, took out a handkerchief to wipe his hands, and slowly walked towards the two with one hand in his pocket.
He disliked Yu Wei's unwanted romantic advances and naturally wanted to eliminate them.
Many people saw the commotion and slowly gathered around, watching from a distance.
"Tsk, I thought it was someone's dog barking here." Zhou Siyu flicked the dust off his collar, not even glancing at the young man: "Turns out he's a beast."
"Where the hell did you come from, you little punk?" the young man retorted, raising his voice, "Who are you calling a dog?"
“Who said you were a dog?” Zhou Siyu spread his hands innocently. “I clearly called you a beast.”
"Pfft!"
The onlookers laughed, which made the young man even angrier. He stepped forward, grabbed Zhou Siyu by the collar, and raised his fist to threaten, "You apologize to me right now!"
"I'm so scared." Zhou Siyu narrowed his eyes and said with a playful tone, "Young Master, how do you want me to apologize?"
"Kneel down and kowtow to me until I am pleased."
The young man smiled smugly and lowered his fist. He was even more disdainful; he had thought the guy was tough, but it turned out he was a coward.
What if I say no?
Zhou Siyu smiled, raised his hand, pinched the young man's wrist and twisted it slightly, causing the young man to scream in pain.
"You fucking let me go!" the young man shouted angrily, "My dad's the mayor, you dare touch me..."
"That's exactly what I'm going to do."
Zhou Siyu kicked the young man in the stomach and disgustedly took out a handkerchief to wipe his hands.
"I'll fight you to the death!"
The young man jumped up and swung his fist at Zhou Siyu's face. Zhou Siyu neither dodged nor avoided, which made him look like he was terrified.
"Zheng Li!"
A deep male voice rang out, and the fist stopped just one centimeter away from Zhou Siyu's nose.
Yu Wei pushed through the crowd, frowning as he looked at the chaotic scene before him.
"Brother Yuwei, you're finally here." Zheng Li squeezed out a few tears, grabbed Yuwei's arm, and cried, "Yang Lie and that person bullied me..."
Looking at the person clinging to Yu Wei and listening to the sickeningly sweet voice, Zhou Siyu's lips twitched, she smiled slightly, lowered her head, and nervously twisted her fingers. Her pitiful appearance melted people's hearts.
Even though he didn't do anything, he's so pitiful! He must be innocent! How could someone so weak and pitiful hit someone?
"I'm not blind." Yu Wei pulled his hand away and pointed to the banknotes on the ground: "What do you mean?"
"I..." Zheng Li's voice weakened, "I accidentally bumped into Brother Yang Lie, this is to compensate him..."
"You're going to throw money on the ground and make people kneel down to pick it up?" Yu Wei sneered. "That's a rather novel way to compensate."
