Chapter 47 He's Getting Married

"You've recovered, haven't you?" Zhou Siyu removed Yu Wei's hand, noticing his pale complexion. A quick thought struck her, and she pecked his cheek, then, holding his hand, drew circles on his palm, explaining, "First of all, let me clarify, I wasn't looking at him because I like him. It was purely a human appreciation of beauty..."

"I will never forgive you." Yu Wei tilted her head back arrogantly, arms crossed. "Unless..."

"What?"

Zhou Siyu found it amusing; Yu Wei was already over thirty years old, how could he still be so childish?

"You have to kiss me again and say 'My husband is the most handsome man in the entire league'."

Yu Wei glanced at Zhou Siyu out of the corner of his eye, then quickly looked away, afraid of being discovered.

After a while, Zhou Siyu still didn't make a move, but Yu Wei couldn't maintain his composure anymore. He turned his head, and Zhou Siyu had already moved close to his face. He turned his head and kissed his lips.

"Whoa!" Yu Wei was startled and fell to the ground with a thud. He patted his chest and looked at Zhou Siyu with annoyance: "You...you...you...why did you suddenly come over here! You scared me to death."

"I'm doing an experiment." Zhou Siyu shrugged, got up and pulled Yu Wei. "You see these kinds of scenes in dramas? They look so romantic. I'm just trying to see if it's real. Practice makes perfect, you know?"

“I don’t understand.” Yu Wei shook his head. “I don’t know if it’s frivolous or not, but it’s scary enough.”

"roll!"

Zhou Siyu rolled her eyes. What a blockhead who has no sense of romance.

"I won't leave, I just love sticking to you."

Yu Wei took Zhou Siyu's arm, squatted down slightly, and rubbed her head against his shoulder.

"Isn't it shameful?"

Zhou Siyu gave Yu Wei's head a disdainful push, but out of the corner of her eye she saw Zheng Ming hurrying in.

"Brother, sister-in-law, I'll go get the car first."

Yu Zhen slipped away as fast as he could. He really didn't want to be a 250-watt light bulb; it was too bright, with an effect comparable to a high-powered flashlight!

Zhou Siyu nodded and listened silently to the conversation between Zheng Ming and Ji Han.

"Hanhan, why did you suddenly run out?" Zheng Ming grabbed Ji Han's hand. "Come home with me."

"Why should I go back with you?" Ji Han shook off Zheng Ming's hand and looked at him coldly.

"Can you stop messing around?" The sudden increase in volume annoyed the others. Zheng Ming awkwardly waved his hand as an apology, pinched his brow, and lowered his voice: "We'll talk about it when we get back."

People around who were conducting business quietly pricked up their ears to eavesdrop.

"Why don't you go home?" Ji Han crossed her arms, glanced at Zheng Ming, looked up at Zhou Siyu's direction, and snorted coldly: "I didn't expect you to have such poor taste, being able to fall for a married man."

“It’s not what you think.” Zheng Ming glanced at Ji Han, following her gaze. “I’m almost old enough to be his father, how could I possibly have those kinds of feelings for him?”

"Isn't this what you like?" Ji Han leaned down and whispered in Zheng Ming's ear, "If you like it, how about I help you kill her husband?"

To Zheng Ming, the gentle and pleasant voice sounded like the whispers of a demon, a death sentence.

“Ji Han! We’re really not that kind of relationship.” Zheng Ming frowned, but his gaze kept falling on Zhou Siyu in the distance: “I admit he is very handsome, but he belongs to someone else in the end, and I’m not interested in him.”

Although he was a playboy, he had one principle: he would never take anything that belonged to others, no matter how good it was. Only innocent, naive girls who had never been involved in worldly affairs were qualified to stay by his side.

Zhou Siyu felt utterly contemptuous of this. Zheng Ming truly embodied the principle of "being lenient with others and strict with oneself." He was like a hen without feathers, yet he still dreamt of finding a phoenix. He forgot to find a pond to look at his reflection when he went out.

"Snap out of it." Yu Wei waved his hand in front of Zhou Siyu. "I know Ji Han is good-looking, but you can't keep staring at him, can you?"

Zhou Siyu smiled slightly with narrowed eyes, glanced at Ji Han, moved her lips slightly, and left with Yu Wei's arm in hers.

Back at the hotel, Zhou Siyu told Lin Ling about the existence of orcs on the twenty-eighth planet. Lin Ling pondered for a moment, then told Zhou Siyu and Yu Wei to come back as soon as possible.

"Uncle, do you have some kind of plan?" Zhou Siyu leaned against the bathroom sink, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes. She had a feeling that Lin Ling and the others were planning something.

"You're overthinking it. Planet Twenty-Eight is too far away. You two won't have anyone to look after you there. Come back quickly." Lin Ling smiled. "By the way, Yun Mu and Si Jue are planning to get married soon. You can attend the wedding when you come back."

"Okay, I understand." Zhou Siyu nodded. "I'll try to discuss it with Yu Wei and get back as soon as possible."

After hanging up the communicator, Zhou Siyu turned around, placed her hands on the sink, and stared blankly at the person in the mirror.

Why did Ji Han attack them for no reason? Yun Mu suddenly disappeared and then suddenly reappeared, and then suddenly wanted to marry Zhou Sijue. All of this was too sudden. He had to figure it out.
