If he had been born normally, Zheng Li would have been two years older than Chu Yunmu, but due to external interference, he was six years younger than Zhou Siyu.
Zheng Hui knew that Zhou Qi hated him, but he did not regret it. Everyone loves beauty, and he was just following his instincts.
Besides, Zhou Qi himself wasn't exactly a paragon of virtue; they were both equally bad, and neither had the right to judge the other.
Five days later, Zheng Zhao and Zheng Ming's funeral was held on time. Zhou Siyu, at Ji Han's invitation, attended with Yu Wei.
Zheng Hui, dressed in black, stood at the door, his eyes lowered and silent. Zheng Li stood beside him, her eyes red-rimmed.
"Please accept my condolences." Zhou Siyu, holding Yu Wei's arm, sighed softly. "Where is Ji Han?"
“He’s sick and resting at the villa,” Zheng Hui said unhappily. “Zheng Zhao and Zheng Ming don’t seem to know you well.”
“That’s not right.” Zhou Siyu brushed her hair aside, her tone full of regret. “Deputy Director Zheng has devoted himself to the Twenty-Eighth Planet all these years, and everyone has seen it. It is only right that we come to pay our respects.”
“Mr. Zheng was an important potential business partner of mine, and it is truly regrettable that he has met with such misfortune.” After saying this, Zhou Siyu patted Zheng Li on the shoulder and said, “He is gone now, please accept my condolences.”
Zheng Li sobbed uncontrollably, covering her mouth as she nodded.
Yu Wei remained silent. Zhou Siyu had already said everything that needed to be said, and they weren't even close. If he hadn't been with Zhou Siyu, he would never have come.
The two sat in the last row, listening to the recitation. Zhou Siyu suddenly felt a little dazed, as if she were at Vince's funeral.
Yu Wei didn't know why he was suddenly feeling sad, but he just held his hand tightly and placed his other hand on the back of his hand.
Zhou Siyu was led away by Yu Wei in a daze. Walking on the tree-lined path, Zhou Siyu followed Yu Wei listlessly.
"What's wrong?" Yu Wei stopped and asked softly, his eyes full of worry. "Did you remember something bad?"
"It's nothing." Zhou Siyu shook her head and leaned against Yu Wei's chest. "Yu Wei, in the future... could you leave after me? I don't want to see you leave again."
If he had never seen the light, he could endure the darkness and cold, but once he had light and warmth, he could no longer bear the pain of losing it, especially since he had already lost it once.
"Silly girl." Yu Wei gently ruffled Zhou Siyu's hair. "I've said it before, nothing can separate us, not even death. I will follow you to the ends of the earth, to the netherworld."
"That's really touching."
A deep, sinister voice rang out, but no one was in sight. The two immediately became alert and looked around.
"Are you two looking for me?"
A black shadow flashed by, and a short man appeared in front of the two. The man was thin, dressed in black clothes and black pants, and his head was hidden in a large black hood.
"Why would I go looking for your mother if I'm not sick?" Yu Wei subconsciously shielded Zhou Siyu behind him and teased, "It's not good for a kid like you to be peeping at adults dating instead of studying properly."
"I'm an adult!" Men hate it when people say they're short, and this guy dared to make fun of him!
"Oh, but you're not even up to my waist yet." Yu Wei shrugged. "Are you angry? What do you want? To jump up and hit my knee?"
"I'll take your dog's life!"
The man swiftly flashed in front of Yu Wei, the golden dagger in his hand shining even brighter in the sunlight.
Yu Wei easily grasped the man's hand with the vines and disdainfully flicked it aside, "Little kid, talking such nonsense at such a young age, be careful you don't get struck by lightning."
"Yu Wei, be careful." Zhou Siyu looked around warily. "He's gone!"
"They ran away like that?" Yu Wei patted his clothes. "That's such a coward..."
Before he could finish speaking, the man suddenly appeared, his dagger aimed straight at Yu Wei's chest. Yu Wei quickly manipulated the vines to block it, and the dagger stopped just centimeters away from him.
Just as Yu Wei was about to retaliate, the man vanished in an instant, leaving not even a trace.
"Damn! What kind of monster is this?" Yu Wei frowned slightly, becoming wary and carefully observing his surroundings.
The man appeared suddenly like a ghost, attacked, was repelled by Yu Wei, and then suddenly disappeared, only to reappear unexpectedly at an unexpected time and in an unexpected place.
After the fight, many broken golden vines lay on the ground.
"What kind of skill is it to hide? If you're a man, come out and have a proper fight with me."
Yu Wei was furious. This guy was just toying with him! This was intolerable! He was determined to teach this scoundrel a lesson today.
"Hehehehehehe..."
"Hahahahaha..."
A sharp, eerie laugh echoed around him, giving Yu Wei a headache. He was completely unaware that the golden dagger was stabbing towards his temple.
"careful!"
Zhou Siyu wrapped her arm around Yu Wei's waist, spun around to dodge the attack, and kicked the dagger away.

Zhou Siyu looked at Yu Wei, who was holding his head, with concern. She hadn't expected that the person who came would be a superhuman with the ability to teleport.

Yu Wei shook his head. Damn it! That laughter is too addictive!
"Watch out! Shh!"
The man appeared behind Zhou Siyu like a ghost, raising his dagger high, but Yu Wei manipulated the vines to knock it away. The vines then lashed upwards, striking the man's body hard, causing him to scream in pain. Yu Wei felt a sharp pain in his head, his ears ringing, and the whole world spinning.
"grass!"
Yu Wei knelt on one knee, supporting himself with one hand on the ground, wishing he could cut off his ear.
"Yu Wei! Yu Wei! Look at me!"
Zhou Siyu cupped Yu Wei's face in his hands, meeting his eyes. His amber eyes were calm and serene, shining like jewels. Yu Wei was unconsciously drawn to them, staring blankly into his eyes.
