Chapter 60 Returning Home Together

"Not as good as President Zhou."

Ji Han smiled and pulled her hair back. What did Zhou Siyu mean by suddenly doing such a reckless thing?

Following Zhou Siyu's gaze, Ji Han instantly understood.

Yu Wei and Wen Dai sat side by side, chatting and laughing. They seemed to be playing some kind of game. Yu Wei was almost sitting on the edge of the sofa, bending over and gesturing something on the small table. Wen Dai watched intently from the side. Their faces were very close, almost close enough to kiss if they turned their heads.

"This silly boy has quite a few friends." Ji Han swirled his wine glass, a faint smile playing on his lips. "He seems to have quite a few good brothers too."

He is well-liked.

"Aren't you worried? I've heard that Wen Dai and he have a rather unusual relationship." Ji Han took a sip of her drink. "A young master who has fallen into poverty and a naive young Alpha, that's going to be quite a show."

“They have no chance.” Zhou Siyu took a sip of his drink and looked in Yu Wei’s direction. “They’re both Alphas. They can’t do anything else besides being brothers.”

“These days, Alphas are a rare species.” Ji Han tapped the rim of his glass lightly, a cryptic smile flashing in his eyes. “This silly boy is S-rank?”

"Yes." Zhou Siyu nodded, propping his elbows on the small table and leaning against it. "But no one else has a chance."

"Oh? Why?"

“He…I’ve marked him.” Zhou Siyu smugly swirled his wine glass. “I’ve said it before, what’s mine can’t be taken away by anyone.”

"What if he wants to leave on his own?"

Ji Han raised an eyebrow; feelings always fade over time.

"Break his legs and lock him up." Zhou Siyu finished the last sip of his drink, licked the wine stains from the corner of his lips, and said, "Like I said, what's mine can only be mine."

Even if he doesn't want it anymore one day, it won't be anyone else's turn to covet it.

Ji Han was astonished; Zhou Siyu's possessiveness was extraordinary.

"Haha, you lost again." Yu Wei raised his head and looked at Wen Dai triumphantly: "I told you, this is my forte, you can't beat me."

“I’m not convinced, let’s go again.” Wen Dai unbuttoned his cuffs and rolled up his sleeves. “This time it’s my turn.”

"Fine, you come and save me."

Yu Wei crossed his arms. Even Wen Dai couldn't guess a simple charades game, so it must be because he's no good.

"bird."

How did you figure that out?

“It’s obvious.” Yu Wei stretched out his hand and gestured on the pristine white tablecloth. “What you just drew is a beak here, wings here, and feet here…”

"I don't believe you, let's try again!"

Wen Dai drew another one, and Yu Wei quickly guessed it, making him wonder if Wen Dai had mind-reading abilities.

After playing a few more rounds, Wen Dai gradually realized that he couldn't guess what Yu Wei was drawing because it was too abstract, with every stroke landing in an unexpected place.

"Ha, you lost again." Yu Wei clapped his hands lightly and picked up his wine glass. "Hey, it's time to drink now, isn't it? You've cheated on several rounds already."

Wen Dai took the wine, drank it all in one gulp, stood up to straighten his clothes, and then sat down again.

"What are you planning to do next?" Wen Dai glanced in Zhou Siyu's direction. "He'll have to go back eventually."

“Go back with him.”

Yu Wei smiled, his eyes filled with tenderness.

"What? You're not kidding, are you?" Wen Dai thought she was hallucinating. "He's a married man. Why would you go back with him?"

When he first saw Yu Wei and Zhou Siyu together, he didn't think much of it and simply assumed they were friends. It wasn't until he saw them living together openly in the news and appearing together in various places that he realized Yu Wei was the one who had interfered in someone else's marriage.

"Um...is it possible that I am her husband?"

Yu Wei was a little annoyed. Why did everyone think that the two of them had an improper relationship?

Seriously? With my looks, my charisma, and my height, how am I not a good match for Zhou Siyu? I don't look like a pretty boy at all!

"This joke is not funny at all."

Wen Dai tilted his head and thought for a moment. Yu Wei's origins had always been a mystery, so it wasn't impossible.

“I’m not kidding.” Yu Wei tapped his head. “I’ve remembered a lot of things now and I’m basically certain of my identity.”

“He is the stone I’ve nurtured with three years of my heart and soul.” Yu Wei took a sip of wine and sighed. “But now I’m starting to feel lost. Am I being nice to him because I like him, or because I feel a sense of responsibility?”

After listening to Yu Wei's story, Wen Dai fell into deep thought. After a long while, he slowly spoke, "Imagine if someone else had saved you back then, and you met Zhou Siyu just when you were planning to marry him. What would you choose?"

“Of course I’d choose my savior,” Yu Wei thought for a moment. “Besides, we’re getting married, which means I have feelings for him and a sense of responsibility towards him, while Zhou Siyu is just a stranger right now…”

"What if you fell in love with him at first sight, and you both felt the same way?" Wen Dai stroked his chin, smiling as he looked at Yu Wei. "What would you choose?"

"Huh? This... is a bit difficult." Yu Wei scratched the back of his head and thought for a moment: "If I continue to get married, it would be irresponsible to my marriage partner. I have someone else in my heart and I'm with someone else. Wouldn't that make me a scumbag?"

Putting all that aside, who would you choose?

"Hmm..." Yu Wei pondered in silence for a long time, then suddenly finished the wine in his glass and scratched his hair in frustration. "I can't choose. On one side is my savior, on the other is my lover; on one side is responsibility, on the other is feelings. I really can't choose."

Choosing responsibility means betraying love; choosing love means betraying your benefactor. Either choice is wrong, and both will disappoint the other party.

“So you should be glad that the person you love and the person who helped you are the same person.” Wen Dai beckoned to a waiter, took a glass of wine from the tray and handed it to Yu Wei. “Why do you have to figure out your feelings for him? Whether it’s out of responsibility or out of love, you’re already together.”
