Zhou Siyu sat in the chair, looking down at the documents.

"I'm sorry, Uncle Lin." Zhou Siyu lowered her head, twisting the hem of her clothes. "I'm just... afraid of losing him."
"You're just overthinking things." Lin Ling gently patted Zhou Siyu's hand and tucked the stray hairs from his forehead behind his ear. "Xiao Wei is my son. Don't I know what kind of person he is?"
"Since he has set his sights on you, he will never leave you no matter what."
“I’m afraid he’ll forget me.” Zhou Siyu rubbed her eyes and sighed softly. “I always feel that there’s a barrier between us, an insurmountable chasm.”
"I think your worries are a bit unnecessary."
"Um?"
Zhou Siyu blinked and frowned slightly. Could it be that he was overthinking things?
“Omegas with children are naturally more sensitive and insecure than usual. Plus, Yu Wei isn't around, and his attitude towards the child is different from yours. Recalling the scene in her dream, Zhou Siyu couldn't help but shudder.
In the dream, Yu Wei's face was expressionless. He was grabbed and pinned to the operating table. He sat in a chair and watched him struggle silently, coldly watching him kneel on the ground and beg.
“Dreams are always the opposite of reality.” Lin Ling ruffled Zhou Siyu’s hair and gently poked his forehead. “Xiao Wei cherishes you like the apple of his eye, how could he bear to let you cry?”
"I'm just... scared..."
Zhou Siyu lowered his head. The more Yu Wei acted like this, the more he couldn't help but wonder what Yu Wei would choose if that day ever came and only one of him and the child could survive.
He didn't want to die, nor did he want Yu Wei to give up the child.
He wants everything, and he doesn't want to give up anything.
"So you need to rest well, keep a good mood, and don't overthink things, as thinking too much will harm your health."
Lin Ling raised her hand to check the time, rummaged through the medical kit, took out a small bottle of golden liquid, and walked over to Zhou Siyu with a syringe.
"What's this?"
Zhou Siyu looked at the small bottle with curiosity. He had seen this thing a few times, but he had always forgotten to ask its name.
"It is extracted from Xiao Wei's blood and its effects are not as direct as pheromones, but it does seem to be effective, at least for now."
Lin Ling drew a little liquid into the syringe and pushed it out. The golden liquid dripping from the needle emitted a cool, herbal scent.

Zhou Siyu suddenly realized why the little guy hadn't been making a fuss lately; he had been intimidated.

Both men knew perfectly well that this war could not possibly end within two months.
The spaceship passed through the clouds, crossed the wilderness, and stopped in front of a giant tree.
"We've arrived?"
Zhou Siyu rubbed her eyes, pulled out a chair, and stretched.
When Zhou Siyu saw the view outside the window, he was stunned. He had never seen such a big tree before.
