Feeling the steady, powerful heartbeat, Zhou Siyu lowered her eyes slightly, gently pressed her lips to the gauze, and her long eyelashes trembled slightly, sweeping across her skin like two small brushes.
Yu Wei's throat bobbed, feeling his mouth dry. Considering Zhou Siyu's situation, he suppressed his wicked thoughts and let Zhou Siyu do whatever she wanted to him.
After a long while, Zhou Siyu buried her head in Yu Wei's arms, her shoulders trembling slightly.
"Why are you crying?" Yu Wei asked anxiously, lifting his face to wipe away his tears. "Are you hungry?"
Zhou Siyu shook her head and whispered, "I just dreamt about the past..."
“I dreamt that you told me to wait for you to come back, and that you would bring Chu Yunmu back with you.”
"But you lied to me, you didn't come back." Zhou Siyu looked up, rubbing her eyes. "I waited for you for so long, but you didn't come back, you liar!"
"I'm sorry, it's my fault, it's my fault." Yu Wei kissed the corner of his eye. "I'm back now, I didn't lie to you."
"If I don't come looking for you, are you planning to never come back?"
Zhou Siyu wiped away his tears with grievance. He didn't cry when Yu Wei didn't come back, he didn't cry when Qin Ge beat him, and he didn't cry when Yu Wei's friends targeted him.
The moment he saw Yu Wei, he really wanted to throw himself into his arms and cry his heart out. But seeing the unfamiliarity in Yu Wei's eyes, he was afraid, afraid that he would leave again, so he only dared to approach cautiously.
“No.” Yu Wei shook his head and gently patted Zhou Siyu’s back. “To the twenty-eighth planet, I am just an insignificant passerby. I will eventually leave there to find my true home.”
No matter how good a foreign land may be, it is never the same as one's hometown.
The street-side buildings were brightly lit, but not a single one was lit for him; pedestrians hurried along the road, and not a single foot stopped for him.
Friends and neighbors only saw his cheerful, lively and helpful nature, but no one knew that in the dead of night, he liked to curl up in a corner, hug his knees, and stare blankly at the dark ceiling.
This comforting remark had a significant effect. Zhou Siyu wiped away her tears in Yu Wei's arms, looking at Yu Wei with red and swollen eyes, "Then you're not allowed to leave without a word in the future, and you're not allowed to lie to me or leave me alone."
"I promise." Yu Wei raised his hand, held up three fingers, and said earnestly, "I promise that I will inform you before leaving in the future, that I will be absolutely honest, that I will always stay by your side, and that I will never leave you alone."
"You keep your word." Zhou Siyu laughed through her tears, grabbing Yu Wei's hand and threatening, "If you dare to lie to me, I'll twist your head off to use as a wine glass, pull out your tendons to make a zither, and skin you to make a drum..."
"Ouch, that's too bloody." Yu Wei pinched Zhou Siyu's cheek. "You definitely wouldn't want to do that."
"Look at me, do you think I can bear to part with him?" Zhou Siyu crossed her arms and snorted, then quickly pecked Yu Wei on the cheek: "I can't bear to part with him."
"Lin Gu's meal is almost ready." Yu Wei rubbed Zhou Siyu's earlobe, picked him up and said, "Come on, let's go back and eat. You've had a long day, you need to eat something good."
"Put me down, I can walk by myself."
Zhou Siyu struggled symbolically for a few moments, then comfortably wrapped her arms around Yu Wei's neck and sat on his strong, muscular arms.
He always refused to let injured or sick patients do physical labor, but when patients insisted on doing it, he couldn't refuse their kindness.
"Go my ass! I carried you home yesterday." Yu Wei's narrowed eyes revealed a dangerous glint. "What, you're fully recovered after just one night's rest?"
Before Zhou Siyu could speak, Yu Wei said to himself, "Now that you're fully recovered, shall we continue tonight?"
"Get out of here." Zhou Siyu slapped Yu Wei's face away, her cheeks slightly red, and scolded him in a low voice, "Watch where you're going! Stop filling your brain with nonsense."
“I won’t allow you to insult yourself like that.” Yu Wei chuckled. “You’re all I can think about.”
That's right, right now all he can think of is Zhou Siyu with teary eyes, begging for mercy.
His wife is so beautiful, how could she be trash?
"You bastard!"
Zhou Siyu gently patted Yu Wei's head, muttering something under his breath.
"Demons and monsters, get out of here..."
"Put waste and water into the brain, shake it, and shake the waste out..."
"If you shake it any longer, it'll turn into mush." Yu Wei sighed and put Zhou Siyu down, pulling him into his arms. "You don't want me to have a good day?"
"What did I do?" Zhou Siyu blinked, her phoenix eyes full of innocence. "Did I do anything?"
Yu Wei lifted Zhou Siyu's chin, lowered his head to kiss him, and gently bit his lips.
His movements were gentle yet incredibly forceful. Zhou Siyu's legs went weak from his kisses, and she clung to his neck to steady herself.
Yu Wei slowly released Zhou Siyu, buried his head in his neck, inhaled the faint fragrance on his body, and whispered in his ear: "How about you put out the fire you started right here?"
Zhou Siyu grabbed Yu Weiyou's wandering hand and chuckled in his ear, "I'm hungry, let's go back."
"You little rascal." Yu Wei pinched Zhou Siyu's nose helplessly and flicked his forehead lightly. "You flirt and then run away, only caring about starting a fire and not putting it out."
"I'm hungry, I'm starving, I want to eat." Zhou Siyu nimbly jumped onto Yu Wei's back, wrapped one arm around his neck, and patted his shoulder with the other: "Giddy up."
"Oh dear, my life is so miserable." Yu Wei said plaintively as he hugged Zhou Siyu tightly, "I've worked like a slave to make you happy, and you haven't given me a single penny, not even a kiss..."
"Hurry up, hurry up." Zhou Siyu lowered her head and whispered in Yu Wei's ear, "Tonight, I'll listen to you."
"Keep your word."
Yu Wei raised an eyebrow, brought up the navigation, and selected the shortest route.
