"Um……"
Yu Zhen stretched, rubbed his shoulders, and slowly raised his head while massaging his cervical spine.
A horribly rotten face suddenly appeared before my eyes, and thick, greenish-yellow pus dripped onto the helmet between the eyebrows with a "drip".
Its limbs, as thin as tree trunks, protruded from its tattered light blue clothing, gripping the ceiling tightly. Its head was rotated 180 degrees, its empty eyes gleaming coldly as it stared intently at Yu Zhen. Yellowish-green pus oozed from its eye sockets, dripping onto the ground.
"Wow!"
Yu Zhen drew his long sword and slashed, but the thing neither dodged nor evaded. A flash of silver light, and its head fell to the ground with a thud, rolling to a spot not far away.
"Sister-in-law, sister-in-law, wake up..."
Yu Zhen reached out to push Zhou Siyu, but missed. Turning around, she saw nothing but shards of glass. The two of them, along with a steamed bun, had vanished into thin air.
"Crack...clunk..."
The head that had rolled a short distance away moved, and its face, which had been facing the ground, suddenly turned to face Yu Zhen.
Yu Zhen couldn't help but curse, "Holy shit!" Just as he was about to get up, he noticed that the face moved, giving off a strange smile.
"An illusion, it must be an illusion, I must be seeing things..."
"Slap!" A heavy slap landed on his face, and Yu Zhen then pinched his thigh hard. The clear pain told him that this was not an illusion.
"Yu Zhen! Don't scare yourself. It's all an illusion, it's all fake..."
His hand, gripping the long sword, trembled uncontrollably. Yu Zhen leaned against the door, took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and slowly tightened his grip on the long sword.
When I opened my eyes again, everything in front of me was exactly the same.
The incandescent light shone blindingly on the white walls, and the densely packed shards of glass refracted a rainbow of colors. The haphazardly arranged corpses had somehow been gathered together and piled up in the very center of the room.
"vomit……"
Yu Zhen suppressed the churning in his stomach, brought up the code he had just written, pressed the key with his index finger, and the code began to run rapidly.
"Connecting to BD103 electronic lock system..."
"Connection successful..."
"Decoding password..."
"Click-clack..."
"Giggle giggle..."
The sound of bones dislocating was particularly eerie in the empty room, like a cold wind piercing through the protective barrier and penetrating the heart and limbs. Looking at the scene before him, Yu Zhen felt as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.
The piled-up corpses slowly turned their heads, countless eyes staring intently at Yu Zhen, as if they had found their target, and their limp limbs began to move slowly.
The corpse on the top of the pile raised its shoulders, which moved its arms, and then its lumbar spine exerted force, causing its entire upper body to slowly sit up. Its head turned 180 degrees to stare at Yu Zhen, and its withered lower limbs exerted force, instantly leaping in front of Yu Zhen.
"Fuck you! Get the hell out of here!"
Yu Zhen swung his sword and chopped off the withered hand that was rushing towards his face. He then punched the corpse in the face with his left fist, smashing it to pieces, and kicked a large hole in the corpse's chest.
"Don't you know what you look like? You still dare to come close to me, trying to play the dead with me?"
Yu Zhen swallowed hard, muttering nonsense to bolster his courage, his hand gripping the knife trembling uncontrollably.
As if receiving some kind of command, the piled-up corpses began to move, twisting their withered bodies and crawling or jumping, quickly gathering towards where Yu Zhen was.
Before Yu Zhen could mentally prepare himself, a horde of corpses rushed toward him, leaping in a few steps to his side and attacking him with their withered hands bearing long fingernails.
"What the hell? Are they bullying people by taking advantage of their power?"
With a swift stroke of his blade, Yu Zhen dispatched the nearest corpse. He wiped away the pus obscuring his vision and flicked it aside. Holding his long sword horizontally, he exuded an aura of unyielding strength, declaring, "Come at me all at once! I'm not afraid of you! You're as easy as chopping melons and vegetables for me. One of you comes, and I'll cut you down!"
The black longsword flashed, and wherever the blade passed, bones shattered. Black, red, green, yellow-green... all sorts of pus splattered onto the white wall, creating a fantastical scene.
The pus either flows on the glass shards or seeps into the ground beneath the shards through the cracks.
"call……"
Looking at the mess on the floor, Yu Zhen let out a long sigh of relief and leaned against the door, panting heavily.
There are too many dead people here. They are fierce and violent, and their fingernails are as sharp as blades, leaving countless scratches on the black mecha.
Wait... something seems off...
Yu Zhen was stunned for a moment, looked down at his all-black mecha, then at the long sword in his hand, and loosened his grip, the black long sword falling to the ground with a "clang".
This is not his weapon; he never uses a longsword.
His most frequently used weapon was a solid, pure black drill bit with a needle-like tip.
Yu Zhen hurriedly pulled up the mecha's model number, only to find that it was a model from three years ago, and the registered name did not belong to him, but to... Lin Gu?
Before he could even sort out his thoughts, strange sounds echoed again in the empty room.
"Giggle giggle...click click click..."
Yu Zhen raised his head, and the corpse that had been beaten to pieces suddenly moved again, its scattered limbs and head moving rapidly towards him.
"No way! Not again?"
Without a suitable weapon in hand, Yu Zhen lightly lifted her toes, and the long sword on the ground drew a beautiful arc in the air before landing steadily in her hand.
For some reason, the longsword that had been so easy to use just moments before now felt incredibly heavy in my hand, and it wasn't as smooth to swing as before. It was like a rusty machine, with every movement slowing down.
He was like a baby learning to walk, struggling with every move. In a moment of carelessness, he almost had his helmet ripped off by a withered arm.
