"Beep beep beep beep beep..."
The instrument emitted a piercing sound, and a red light, indicating a warning, flashed continuously. The house was about to collapse. Seeing that things were not going well, the man spread his wings and shielded Zhou Siyu in his arms, flying out of the ruins before the house collapsed.
"Yu Wei!" Zhou Siyu pushed the man away. "I'm going to save him."
"Come back!" the man cried, clinging to him tightly. "He won't die!"
"I don't believe it!"
Yu Wei was completely bound, and he couldn't fly, so how could he possibly escape?
"Trust me!" The man pointed to the figure emerging from the ruins. "See? I told you he wouldn't die..."
The figure flashed quickly in front of the two. Zhou Siyu excitedly broke free from the restraints and hugged the figure tightly.
“Yuwei, Yuwei…”
"I'm...sorry for making you worry..."
Yu Wei slowly raised his hand, but before he could hug Zhou Siyu, he fell backward.
"Save him!" Zhou Siyu grabbed the man. "Don't you have a plan? Save him now!"
“There’s no way to save him, all the equipment is gone.” The man pointed to the ruins. “He won’t die, he just used up too much energy for the forced absorption, he’ll be fine after a few days of sleep.”
The man was hurt and jealous. Why didn't his beloved son care about him and instead focused all his attention on this jerk? He was so jealous.
"You're not lying to me?" Zhou Siyu clearly didn't believe him, but she had no choice but to believe him.
"Why would I lie to you?" the man snorted arrogantly. "This little brat is someone I picked out from the twenty-seventh star."
"Thanks."
Zhou Siyu gradually calmed down, hugged Yu Wei, sighed, and contacted Yu Zhen using the communicator.
"What's the use of just saying thank you? Show us something real!" The man pointed to the ruins. "My house's gone, I'm going to sleep on the streets!"
"You're the landlord?" Zhou Siyu's eyes widened in disbelief. "You heard everything that night?"
"Yeah, the two of you were making such a racket, you almost demolished the house."
The man was furious. If he had known it was Zhou Siyu earlier, he would have given Yu Wei a real beating. How dare she do such a thing to his darling in front of him? Unforgivable!
"Damn it! Why didn't you come to save me?" Zhou Siyu trembled with anger. "I was almost killed by that monster!"
If his second personality hadn't appeared in time, he would have been crushed to death by the ghost hand vine!
However, this is absolutely no reason for the second personality to take advantage of the situation!
"Tsk, I didn't know it was you." The man scratched the back of his head. "Besides, young people are normal to make a lot of noise."
"Can you judge others by your own standards?"
Zhou Siyu sighed, unable to communicate; he really couldn't understand his thought process.
"Can't we?"
The man felt wronged. First, he really didn't know it was Zhou Siyu; second, he genuinely didn't know Yu Wei would suddenly go crazy; and finally, he really didn't want to watch the live performance!
In conclusion, his failure to act promptly after recognizing his mistake led to a delay and resulted in relatively minor consequences.
The man glanced at Zhou Siyu guiltily and said in a very sarcastic way, "Besides, you seem to enjoy it too."
"Shut up!"
Zhou Siyu wanted nothing more than to pounce on him and tear his mouth apart. She knew her father was unreliable, but she didn't expect him to be this unreliable, and so cheeky, always looking for a beating! He was far worse than Uncle Lin.
Why can't the league come up with a policy? He wants to apply for a change of allegiance!
"I was wrong, I was wrong, I was wrong, my darling, I know I was wrong, okay?" The man finally admitted his identity and fawned over Zhou Siyu, "My darling, Daddy was wrong, please forgive Daddy this time, okay?"
"My father is dead."
"Ugh, how can you curse your father like that?" Zhou Yu said, hands on his hips, clearly annoyed. "You know you'll get struck by lightning for that kind of behavior, right?"
Zhou Siyu ignored him and turned her head away arrogantly.
Zhou Yu sighed. This guy was exactly like his father, even harder to appease than Vince.
"Okay, okay, Daddy was wrong." Zhou Yu sat on the ground with his head down, his silver tuft of hair drooping, twisting his fingers in grievance. "I'm so pitiful. I'm middle-aged and have no car, no money, no one to care for me. The house I finally bought was blown up. What am I going to do..."
"Waaaaah, my son doesn't care about me anymore. He doesn't want his old father anymore. I'm left sleeping on the streets..."
Between sobs, Zhou Yu glanced at Zhou Siyu with her eyes slightly raised, and continued wailing, "What are we going to do if it rains? It's so cold when it snows in winter..."
"Alright, alright, stop crying."
Zhou Siyu felt his head buzzing. He couldn't figure out what kind of drug Vince had been given to fall for this idiot back then.
"Sister-in-law!" Yu Zhen stopped the car and ran over, looking at Zhou Yu with a puzzled expression. "Who is he?"
Upon discovering the unconscious Yu Wei, he quickly spoke again, cutting Zhou Yu off, "What happened to my brother?"
"Let's go back and talk about it first."
Zhou Siyu sighed, and the group helped Yu Wei into the car. On the way, they explained the whole story, leaving Yu Zhen speechless with shock.
My sister-in-law's father, who had been dead for many years, came back to life and saved my brother. My brother had amnesia and then met my sister-in-law again. In order to help my brother regain his memory, my sister-in-law said a lot of things to provoke him, but this drove him into a frenzy. He even blew up someone's house. It turned out that the homeowner was my sister-in-law's father, who had been posing as an old man and lurking around my brother for many years.
Oh my god, that's terrifying!
After washing up, Yu Zhen sat on the sofa, feeling depressed. Even horror movies couldn't pique his interest.
Who knows? He's going to be staying with someone who came back from the dead tonight...
Just as she was lost in thought, someone knocked on the door, and Yu Zhen pulled Zhou Siyu into the room as if she had seen a savior.
