Chapter 81 (Untitled)

He came to provide reinforcements, not to die. His goal was to gain the greatest benefit with the least sacrifice, not to gain a tiny bit of benefit with the greatest sacrifice.

"First come, first served; good spots don't wait for anyone."

Yu Wei picked up the sensor pen and took a step back, twirling the pen deftly behind his back, a cryptic smile playing in his eyes.

Everyone looked at each other, but no one moved. Yu Wei raised an eyebrow, slowly strolled around the table, and returned to his original spot.

“Since none of you want to choose yourselves, then I’ll assign them.” Yu Wei took out the list, sighed deeply as if regretting it, and said in a sinister tone, “If we happen to be matched with our nemesis by accident, I hope you can… get along well.”

"This is no trouble for General Yu." A man with a mustache sneered, stepped forward, pulled a slip of paper from the box, and opened it in front of everyone: "I am number three."

“Sure, go ahead and choose.” Yu Wei gestured with his chin toward the map marked with a red circle. “As a reward for your courage.”

Area A, Songxi South.

Without hesitation, the man made his choice, took a step back to his original position, and stood ramrod straight.

Both the north and south sides of Songxi Highway are excellent ambush sites; capturing remnants of the enemy here is easier than eating or drinking.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry, let me wade through the water for you all first." A square-headed, big-eared man squeezed to the table, chuckled, pulled out a slip of paper from the box, opened it, and spun around in place: "I drew number four, I choose Songxi North, Zone B."

"continue."

Yu Wei nodded, still twirling his pen behind his back.

Seeing that the two had chosen the best plot of land, the rest of the people shook their heads and sighed. They drew lots, formed teams, and waited for Yu Wei to give the order.

"Bring plenty of food, water, tents, and other supplies to select people and weapons."

Yu Wei waved his hand, and after everyone had left, he slowly turned around and looked at the only person who remained.

"You really want to stay by my side that much?"

Don't think he didn't see it; this guy didn't say a word from beginning to end, and didn't even move from his spot, as if he was frozen in place.

"Yes." The young man nodded generously, raised his head from his high collar, and grinned: "I've seen you before, General Yu."

“I’ve seen you before.” Yu Wei raised an eyebrow and extended his hand. “I haven’t asked your name yet.”

He had thought the bamboo pole he saw at the fighting arena belonged to an ordinary soldier, but it turned out to be a lieutenant.

However, there's nothing hard to understand. To be taught by a veteran instructor like Lin Ling, one must be at least a second lieutenant or higher.

"Zhang Bo".

"A good name, with a good balance of tension and relaxation, and a calm and undisturbed atmosphere."

“It doesn’t have any special meaning.” Zhang Bo looked up and smiled. “But I like General Yu’s interpretation.”

"Just making things up." Yu Wei smiled, put down the sensor pen, turned off the projector, and strode away. "Since you've heard of me, you should know that following me is very risky."

"I believe that risk and reward are directly proportional."

Zhang Bo raised an eyebrow and followed Yu Wei's steps.

The higher the risk, the greater the reward, and Yu Wei is a prime example. His rapid advancement relied on the opportunities the Alliance provided compared to ordinary people, as well as his own hard work. After all, he was always at the forefront, which, although dangerous, yielded considerable rewards.

"These words sound much better than any high-sounding words I've ever heard."

Yu Wei slowed down and waited for Zhang Bo to catch up before continuing forward.

People die for wealth, birds die for food.

Although they don't go on missions for money or valuables, to be fair, if every mission yields no reward, who could persevere?

They don't fight for money; they fight for medals and honor.

No one is born great, and no one is born to pursue selfless dedication. Humans are a combination of good and evil, devil and angel, complex and contradictory.

In contrast to the devastation of the sixteenth planet, the fifth planet is peaceful and serene.

The pure white gardenias exude a delicate fragrance, the elegant white magnolias dance in the clear sky, and the lush roses climb all over the white trellis. Red, pink, white, and green intertwine to create a beautiful picture.

A white carpet was spread on the emerald green grass, and silk tightly wrapped around the delicate roses, swaying gently in the breeze.

Lin Ling, arm in arm with Yu Zhen, stepped onto the carpet and stood in front of Chu Yunmu, smiling as she presented a white gift box tied with silk.

"It's not an expensive gift." Lin Ling reached out and tucked Chu Yunmu's hair behind his ear, speaking gently, "Happy wedding."

Then she looked at Zhou Sijue and said softly, "May we grow old together."

"Thank you both for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend my nephew's wedding. You two have truly brought honor to my humble abode."

Zhou Sijue took the gift and handed it to the waiter behind her, raising her hand in a "please" gesture, "Please come in."

"Sorry, I have something to do, so I won't go in."

Lin Ling smiled gently, straightened Yu Zhen's tie, and patted his shoulder lightly.

Yu Zhen smiled, kissed him on the cheek, and turned to walk through the door.

"The relationship between the two uncles is truly enviable," Zhou Sijue said with a smile, holding Chu Yunmu's hand.

Lin Ling remained noncommittal, smiled and nodded, then turned and opened the car door, driving away.

The white car had just left when a red sports car sped up, drifted around a corner, leaving a long black trail on the road, and came to a steady stop at the entrance.

"It's unreasonable that my older brother didn't send me, his younger brother, an invitation to his wedding."
