As expected, chaos had indeed broken out outside. The Alliance launched a surprise attack, first cutting off the base's communication signals with the outside world, and then dismantling the railway, instantly turning the base into an isolated island.
The rebel leader left a portion of his forces to garrison the area, but against half of the allied forces, it was futile.

Gunshots rang out, and a mutated giant lizard crashed to the ground, causing the ground beneath its feet to shake. Lakaya steadied itself against the wall and turned to look at Zhou Siyu, who was carrying a laser weapon.
"Coincidentally, the Alliance has an old man who is passionate about researching all kinds of weapons."
The gun in his hand was recently made, an improvement on the bulky nature of laser weapons, making it smaller and lighter, while also increasing its lethality; even hardened steel plates were no match for it.

Before the words were even finished, the ground shook violently. Howls of wolves mixed with the low moans of mermaids echoed in every corner. The energy generated by the sound waves shattered the glass culture tanks that were four or five meters high, and the mutated animals inside were awakened one after another. The iron chains as thick as forearms jingled.
A dark room on the side of the room slowly opened, and a tall figure approached from afar. As a high-definition image was transmitted into the helmet, Zhou Siyu was able to see what was coming.
It was a beautiful mermaid with willow-leaf eyebrows, almond-shaped eyes, a pert nose, and thin lips. Her ice-blue eyes were like a calm sea, and her long, soft, golden hair, like seaweed, hung down naturally, covering her slender waist. Below her waist was a beautiful fish tail, and the deep blue tail fin was like a skirt made of brocade, flowing and beautiful.
The mermaid wore a collar around her neck and sat steadily on the back of a giant white wolf. The giant black wolf beside her lowered its head and straightened its back, ready to attack at any moment.
A clear, low growl sounded, and the giant black wolf shook its head, took a step back for support, and rushed towards Zhou Siyu and the other person.
"run!"
Zhou Siyu grabbed Lakaya's arm, hugged him, and lunged to the side, dodging the giant wolf's claws.
The two-meter-tall giant wolf turned around and pounced on the two of them quickly, its green eyes bloodshot.
Zhou Siyu, holding Lakaya, fell backward and rolled on the ground once, as the giant wolf swept overhead...

An energy blast was fired, grazing the giant wolf's belly and striking its hind leg. The giant wolf howled, landed on the ground to lick its wound, and continued its attack on the two.
The mermaid's low murmur rang out again, and Zhou Siyu felt a momentary daze. He immediately turned on the noise reduction on his helmet to block out the mermaid's chanting.
Lakaya's head was throbbing from the singing, and he couldn't help but point the gun at himself. In a daze, something was stuffed into his ears, and the piercing low hum disappeared instantly.
"Don't listen, the mermaid's song is deceptive."
Zhou Siyu gestured to him, and Lakaya nodded, leaning against the wall and panting heavily, before raising his gun to take out the venomous snake behind Zhou Siyu.
More and more mutated creatures broke free of their chains and attacked the two men frantically. In addition to a giant wolf and a giant crocodile, they also had to face countless mutated insects and hydras lurking everywhere.
“This can’t go on, they’re being controlled.” Zhou Siyu threw the empty gun back into the warehouse to recharge, took out another gun and tossed it to Lakaya, then took out a dagger from his backpack and held it in his hand. “You try to hold them off, I’ll go deal with that guy.”
"Okay, be careful."
Lakaya nodded, activated her powers, and controlled all the mutated creatures within range, forming a protective wall that also trapped herself inside.
The hydra coiled on the roof attacked Zhou Siyu, its sharp teeth gleaming like newly forged daggers, thick blood sliding down its teeth, and its blood-red eyes like large lanterns.
