Chapter 159 Yu Wen Appears

The next day, Zhou Siyu finished washing up early and took a taxi back to the company. Just as she got downstairs, she ran into someone returning the car.

"Are you Mr. Zhou?"

The newcomer stepped forward, saluted, and subtly sized up Zhou Siyu.

"Yes, this is my identification information."

Zhou Siyu showed his ID card, and the person nodded and handed him the key.

"Thanks."

Seeing Zhou Siyu take the keys, the man saluted, turned around, and got into another car.

Zhou Siyu glanced at it and was surprised to find that even the energy was fully charged. Not bad, not bad, it has potential.

As Zhou Siyu entered the hall, people coming and going greeted her, and she smiled and nodded in response.

If nothing unexpected happens, Li Jing and Yu Zhen should still be fast asleep. Zhou Siyu sat behind his large desk, feeling incredibly impressed. What boss comes to work at the company so early in the morning? He's really a workaholic.

Zhou Siyu glanced at the schedule on the table; it was completely blank.

Then he remembered that Yu Wen used to do all of this, but now that Yu Wen was gone, he didn't even have a secretary.

Zhou Siyu crossed her arms and looked around the secretariat. Her gaze settled on the young man sitting in the corner. She walked over and knocked on the table. "Come to my office."

The young man was somewhat surprised, but he quickly picked up his notebook and went into the office.

"President Zhou."

The young man was somewhat reserved, his hand holding the notebook rubbing against the cover repeatedly.

"Are you from the Secretariat?"

"Yes."

"Whom do you work for?"

"No."

"The new guy?"

"I've been with the company for two years."

"What's your name?"

"Qi Mo".

"Final exams?"

Zhou Siyu, wanting to tease him, stroked her chin and joked, "Final exam, good name." Before Qi Mo could speak, she asked, "What do you usually do?"

"Cleaning, printing documents..."

"Just doing chores like serving tea and water?"

Zhou Siyu frowned. Generally speaking, the head of the secretariat recruits secretaries only when needed, and then assigns them to various department managers or branches. It is rare for someone to have been employed for two years without being assigned.

After checking the information, Zhou Siyu guessed the reason.

Twenty-four years old, graduated from an unknown second-rate university on Planet Nineteen, ranked first in Public Administration, with a full scholarship...

Compared to other graduates from prestigious universities or top-tier institutions, his resume is indeed not very impressive, and he's not a professional in that field. So, he must have some exceptional qualities to have gotten into the company.

"Mr. Zhou... Mr. Zhou..."

The young man grew increasingly nervous, biting his lower lip and constantly observing Zhou Siyu's expression.

Are you married?

Zhou Siyu looked up, leaned back in her chair, and stared at him.

"without."

“That’s good.” Zhou Siyu nodded. “You’ll be working here from now on. You’re a college graduate, so it’s not appropriate for you to be serving tea, water, or cleaning.”

Zhou Siyu gestured with her chin toward the small cubicle outside the president's office. That was the president's secretary's private office, and no one had ever worked there since it was set up.

After all, Yu Wen is a vice president, and he can't stay in the secretary's office every day and become a laughing stock.

"Thank you... thank you, Mr. Zhou..."

Qi Mo was surprised, and after realizing what was happening, he thanked her repeatedly.

"Don't thank me yet. Although you're working in the CEO's office now, I can't give you a raise right now." Zhou Siyu flipped through the cover of her calendar. "After all, I don't know how capable you are yet."

"Thank you, Mr. Zhou. I will do my best."

"Alright, the cubicle hasn't been used for a while. Get someone to clean it and move in." Zhou Siyu waved her hand, then suddenly called out to Qi Mo, who was walking to the door: "Go to HR to change your employee ID card, and then notify the department managers that there will be a meeting at the large conference room on the fifteenth floor at 10 a.m. tomorrow."

"Okay, Mr. Zhou."

Qi Mo closed the door and went straight to the personnel department to change his employee badge.

"You said you were transferred to the CEO's office?"

The HR manager was a woman in her fifties who still retained her charm. Her professional attire accentuated her graceful figure, and her well-maintained face had few wrinkles. When she smiled, her eyes crinkled, making her very beautiful.

"Yes...yes, Mr. Zhou asked me to come and change my employee ID."

Qi Mo turned his face away shyly, avoiding a direct view of his supervisor's ample bosom.

"Let me make a call to confirm."

The supervisor made a phone call while glancing at Qi Mo.

This kid has been with the company for two years. He's hardworking and reliable, but he's always disliked by the department managers because he doesn't know how to say nice things. His colleagues from the same batch have all become junior leaders, but he's still doing odd jobs in the secretariat.

"Your employee ID card will take a few days to arrive, so you can use the old one for now." The HR manager said while typing data on the computer, "Your job title sounds good, but you'll actually be doing menial tasks."

Seeing Qi Mo's blank expression, the HR manager smiled and said, "You haven't been with the company long enough to know. It's normal that you don't know. President Zhou used to be a workaholic, working overtime at the company every day. However, he hasn't been coming to the company much since three or four years ago. He often goes to various places to discuss cooperation. Vice President Yu handles all the big and small matters in the company, and also serves as President Zhou's secretary."

"Didn't Vice President Yu resign?"

Qi Mo scratched the back of his head. Today was the first time he had met Zhou Siyu, while Yu Wen had met her several times.

"Yes, he resigned, and took his secretary with him." The HR manager sighed. "You know the situation now, the economic climate is bad, and a lot of business has stopped. I guess your job will be the same as before, doing odd jobs."

Qi Mo chuckled dryly, thanked him, and quickly left.

Zhou Siyu had been studying the contract in her office for a while, making some changes to the terms, and was just about to take a nap when there was a knock on the door.
