"Cough cough cough..."
Lin Ling and Lin Ling, both covered in dust and dirt, were rescued from the rubble and immediately taken to the emergency room.
"what happened?"
Yu Wei sat up, holding his head, and looked around. He should be in the spaceship's infirmary now, and his injuries had long since healed.
"A genetically modified bomb." Qin Ge, who had been working non-stop for several days, yawned, his face full of worry. "The rebel leader has planted a bomb made of genetically modified pollutants in the center of Nanyan City. High concentrations of genetically modified pollutants can cause gene chains to break and recombine..."
Is there any hope?
"I don't know." Qin Ge shook his head and flicked the report in his hand: "The good news is that this genetic pollutant will not spread or proliferate, and it will not have any impact if it leaves a radius of fifty meters from the city center. It is currently within a controllable range."
Nanyan City had been occupied by the rebels for too long. Ordinary residents were either sent to Base K or used as live targets. In short, there was no one left in the city except the rebels.
"And the bad news?"
"The bad news is that your genes have been contaminated, and so have the people around you today. The number of them is enormous."
“Gather them together first, I’ll figure something out.” Yu Wei pinched the bridge of his nose. “The infected rebels… execute them on the spot.”
Qin Ge's brow twitched, and he tapped his forehead with the pen. "You're not kidding, are you, bro!"
“Why are you joking?” Yu Wei rolled out of bed, putting on his coat as he spoke. “First, they betrayed the alliance, and that’s the punishment a traitor deserves. Second, they slaughtered innocent residents of Nanyan City; their crimes are heinous and they deserve to die. Finally, they didn’t surrender voluntarily, so they can’t enjoy prisoner privileges. My decision is reasonable and correct.”
"Suit yourself, it's up to you anyway." Qin Ge paused, put down the report, and said, "I need to ask you for someone."
Yu Wei paused in buttoning his shirt, tilting his head slightly to look Qin Ge over. "Yu Wen?"
"Yes." Qin Ge nodded, looking frankly at Yu Wei. "You are the chairman, you have the right to decide this matter."
"An Omega without glands? No, to be precise, a Beta. What's so good about that?" Yu Wei pressed the corner of his eye, looking quite troubled. "He's a repeat offender..."
"You can decide what he is." Qin Ge spread his hands, leaned back in his chair, and said with a smile, "I just want the person."
“Okay.” Yu Wei nodded. “But you have to promise that he will never appear in public again.”
The rebel leader has been executed, and the rest of the rebels are fleeing in all directions. Yu Wen is not much of a threat, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to do Qin Ge a favor.
Thanks.
Qin Ge picked up the documents and walked out of the infirmary. All he needed to do now was wait for people. As for how to proceed, that was a problem for Yu Wei to worry about.
