Chapter 110 Mass Madness

Fortunately, the two were not far from the school. Led by the man, they took a shortcut and soon arrived at the school area.

The two immediately began rescue work, with Yu Wei occasionally drawing blood from the injured to speed up wound healing.

With everyone's joint efforts, the buried people were rescued, and the principal, with tears in his eyes, bowed repeatedly to those who participated in the rescue.

"Thank you so much everyone. Without you, I really wouldn't know..."

The principal's voice choked with emotion. Every student was like her own child; how could she not be anxious?

"Principal Wang, you're too kind."

A burly man waved his hand sheepishly.

"Thank you." The principal bowed deeply to Zhou Siyu, expressing his gratitude, "Thank you all..."

“We should be thanking you.” Zhou Siyu took off her coat and draped it over the principal. She had just jumped into the pond to save a student, and her clothes were completely soaked. “Without the emergency drills you organize, the children wouldn’t be able to quickly find ways to save themselves.”

"The backup will arrive tomorrow." Yu Wei walked over from a distance, saw that Zhou Siyu's clothes were on someone else, took off his coat and draped it over him. "The team responsible for the personnel transfer will also arrive tomorrow, and they will leave together by evening at the latest."

"Personnel relocation?"

The principal was stunned. Why retreat? The rebels were clearly in the wrong, so why should they abandon their homeland?

"Although we have driven out the rebels this time, there is no guarantee that they will not make a comeback after we leave. For safety's sake, we need to transfer everyone to the Ninth Planet Capital Base."

“Besides, there are so many children here, making it an easy target for a second attack by the rebels.” Zhou Siyu took the principal’s hand and explained gently, “We are only temporarily retreating. We will drive the rebels away from here later. Our homeland, the Alliance will not give up an inch of it.”

“The base will provide survival supplies and teachers, so there’s no need to worry about the children’s education and living conditions.” Yu Wei glanced at the sky. “The rebels could launch a second bombing at any time. Are there any other schools here?”

"No, there is only one school here, and the primary and secondary schools are together."

"That's good. Please have Principal Wang count the number of students and prepare for the evacuation."

"Oh my god, President... President!" Li Jing suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hugged Zhou Siyu tightly. "Waaah, I've finally found you..."

"I'm fine..."

Zhou Siyu felt a little embarrassed and didn't dare tell her that he had completely forgotten about her.

"By the way, what are you doing here?"

Zhou Siyu quickly changed the subject. When he and Yu Wei left in the morning, Li Jing was probably still asleep. The girl had been watching a drama and crying her eyes out in her room last night.

"I was sleeping when the house suddenly started shaking. I thought it was an earthquake, so I ran outside. Later I found out it was a bombing. I heard that the school needed help, so I came over."

Actually, she didn't spend the whole day looking for Zhou Siyu.

“But those people are really insane. They bombed even residential areas, schools and hospitals. They have no humanitarian spirit at all.”

Zhou Siyu sighed and patted Li Jing on the shoulder.

They are just ordinary people and can't change anything.

“We need some help here.” Yu Wei stood up from a short distance away, walked to the two of them, took out a page from his notebook and handed it to Li Jing along with a pen: “I need you to count the number of female students and their injuries.”

"polite."

Li Jing took the paper and pen, said a few more words to Zhou Siyu, and quickly walked away.

When Yu Wei turned his gaze to Zhou Siyu, his eyes were full of tenderness. He pulled Zhou Siyu's coat tighter, hugged him, and whispered, "You've had a hard time these past few days."

The rescue operation has come to an end; they are just waiting for the team that will arrive tomorrow morning to take the people away.

Yu Wei kissed Zhou Siyu's forehead, pulled him to sit down by the campfire, and took out a vanilla lollipop from his pocket: "I bought this yesterday."

"I want to eat."

"It's gone."

"That's a lie."

"It's really all gone." Yu Wei spread his hands helplessly. "The stored food is all gone, and we haven't had time to replenish it yet."

"What you're saying..." Zhou Siyu pouted, crunching the candy loudly, "Are you implying that I can eat a lot?"

"Absolutely not." Yu Wei raised four fingers to swear to the heavens, "You're so thin, you really need to eat more."

Zhou Siyu snorted and glanced to the side, indicating that someone was there.

Yu Wei raised his head, waved to the man, and walked up to him: "Brother Zhang, is there anything I can help you with?"

The man rubbed his hands together, looking troubled, and hesitated before speaking. "Well, brother, there's something I need to ask you..."

"Brother Zhang, just say what's on your mind."

"Someone over there is injured. Can't your blood heal wounds?"

The man stopped speaking, his gaze unconsciously drifting towards Yu Wei's hand.

"I'll go with you to take a look."

Yu Wei walked over to Zhou Siyu, said something to him, and then left with the man.

Pushing through the crowd, Yu Wei got a clear look at the person lying on the ground.

A burly man was rolling on the ground, groaning and clutching his head; his fingers and the back of his hand were red.

"Ouch~ It hurts so much..."

"Pain? You have the nerve to say it hurts? Weren't you pretty arrogant when you were cursing my parents?"

The man shouted and glanced around quickly, then continued shouting. Another tall man was being held back by the two men, but he kept yelling and cursing.

From the chatter of the onlookers, it was learned that the man lying on the ground had gotten into an argument with another person for some unknown reason. No one else paid much attention, and then something happened that led to this situation.
