After the heavy snow, the twelfth planet fell into a deep sleep, as quiet as a child.
The military base was quite lively, with newly arrived refugees concentrated together with nowhere to settle them, but it would be difficult to manage them if they were scattered.
Wu Ming and Lu Qin sat in the office all night, but they still couldn't come up with a solution.
As attendees gradually left, Wu Ming pulled out a chair, put his hands behind his back, and slowly walked to Lu Qin's side.
"General Lu is really generous; he just said he didn't want the gold mine."
Even knowing it was Yu Wei who gave the order, Wu Ming couldn't help but make a sarcastic remark to Lu Qin.
He wanted to embarrass him for no other reason than that.
"If you're trying to laugh at me, congratulations, you've succeeded."
Lu Qin looked at the documents without ever glancing at Wu Ming, and his tone was indifferent, devoid of any emotion.
"Hey, I really don't understand, the Chairman brought so many people, how did it turn out like this?"
Wu Ming sat sideways on the table, one foot on the ground and the other slightly dangling.
He always knew how to reopen old wounds for Lu Qin. After all, Yu Wei was Lu Qin's idol. Mentioning Yu Wei's mistakes in front of him was like killing someone's spirit.
"You should ask your General Lin about this matter." Lu Qin finally raised his head, his calm eyes concealing a raging rage. He deliberately emphasized the words "General Lin," as if he wanted to devour that person alive.
Wu Ming was personally trained by Lin Gu and had been operating on Planet Twelve for many years; it's hard to guarantee he won't betray them.
Perhaps the failure of this operation was the result of their collusion from within.
Thinking of this, Lu Qin was filled with rage. He threw down the documents, kicked the chair aside, grabbed Wu Ming by the collar, and glared at him fiercely. "Tell me, did you collude with Lin Gu and betray us?"
Wu Ming calmly put his arm around Lu Qin's waist, turned around and pressed him against the table, placing his hands on either side of him and trapping him in his arms.
"So what if it is? Look how foolish you are. You not only made a mess of things yourself, but you also dragged your idol into it..."
A fleeting smile crossed Wu Ming's eyes; Lu Qin's flustered appearance was truly adorable.
The warm breath sprayed on his face, and Lu Qin tightened his grip on Wu Ming's collar, his hatred undisguised.
“Say it again.”
The cold, hard words, filled with deep hatred, were spat out one by one from between his teeth. Lu Qin's eyes were bloodshot. He released Wu Ming's collar, clenched his fist, and punched him in the face.
Wu Ming took the punch head-on, lost his balance and staggered back a few steps, clutching his forehead and gasping for breath.
Lu Qin is going all out!
It hurts so much!
Even though he was injured, Lu Qin had no intention of letting him go. He raised his foot and kicked Wu Ming in the abdomen, completely unaware of the consequences of his actions.
Wu Ming dodged to the side, then grabbed Lu Qin's leg and slammed him onto the table.
"Let me go! I'll fight you to the death!"
Lu Qin clenched his fists, but Wu Ming pressed him down beside him. His struggling legs were also firmly restrained by Wu Ming, leaving only his scarlet eyes staring at Wu Ming.
"Fight me? Do you even have the ability?"
Wu Ming smiled slightly, pinched Lu Qin's chin, lowered his head under Lu Qin's shocked and resentful gaze, and bit his thin lips, which had turned bright red with anger.
Lu Qin's eyes were practically spitting fire. He wanted nothing more than to undo his cast-covered hand and give Wu Ming a good beating, but he was pinned down by Wu Ming and couldn't move. All he could do was open his mouth and bite Wu Ming's lips hard as if to vent his anger.
The taste of blood spread in his mouth, but Wu Ming didn't care. He gripped the back of Lu Qin's head, closed his eyes, and continued to deepen the sensation, seizing the last bit of air.
"Smack."
A crisp slap rang out, and Wu Ming opened his eyes, meeting a pair of wide-eyed stares.
"You beast! Give it to me..."
The word "get lost" was swallowed back down, and the cold wind blowing in from outside kept rushing into the open collar, but did nothing to reduce the heat inside.
"General Lu, you're reacting quite strongly." Wu Ming chuckled softly, deliberately poking Lu Qin's waist, and whispered in Lu Qin's ear in a hoarse voice, "Could it be... that you're going through your sensitive period?"
"roll!"
Lu Qin pressed his face against Wu Ming's, turning his head away from his kiss, but his cheeks became even redder because of Wu Ming's actions.
Wu Ming is absolutely the person he hates the most, without exception.
"You went to great lengths to disguise yourself as an Alpha and stay by Yu Wei's side, just so he would treat you like this?"
Wu Ming also went all out, raving while still trying to provoke him, "Being around a high-level Alpha, the vulnerable period must be tough, right?"
"Get out..." The hoarse voice broke into fragments, Lu Qin's eyes bloodshot. "Wu Ming, remember this: what you did to me, I will repay you tenfold one day..."
"We'll talk about it when you get there." Wu Ming licked his lips, smiled wickedly, and his movements became even more ferocious. "I'll wait for that day."
"However, before that, let me help you get through your vulnerable period."
"Get out... ah~"
Chairs were overturned on the floor, and the table legs scraped against the ground with a screeching sound. The person who raised their hand to knock on the door heard the clattering sounds inside, exchanged a glance, and froze in place.
"Should we...go and try to persuade them?"
A tall, thin man tentatively glanced at the window. A curtain flashed by, obscuring his view, but he could vaguely see one person pressing another against a table.
I heard that the two generals have never gotten along, apparently because of a grudge they formed when they went on a mission together a few years ago.
In addition, rumors were circulating that Chairman Yu's injury was caused by Lin Gu's leak, and Wu Ming was someone Lin Gu had personally trained, so the grudge between Lu Qin and Wu Ming was getting deeper and deeper.
Unexpectedly, the two disregarded all decorum and started fighting in the conference room.
"When gods fight, mortals suffer; I dare not go."
