On the day she received the notice to pack up her belongings, Zhou Siyu got up very early, as the family compound was to be emptied so that it could be distributed to other people.
The car slowly came to a stop. Zhou Siyu rubbed his eyes and yawned.
"Why did it stop?"
Zhou Siyu took a sip of water, rolled down the car window, and looked in the direction Yu Wen was looking.
It turned out that a taxi was parked at the entrance, blocking the road. A young man who looked to be in his twenties, wearing a white shirt, was pulling a suitcase and gesturing to the security guard.
Zhou Siyu placed her hands on the car window, rested her chin on her forearm, and quietly watched the familiar scene before her.
Before long, a young man in a black workout suit came running up, panting, waving to Zhou Siyu as he ran. His cheerful smile made Zhou Siyu momentarily lose his composure.
"Yuwei!"
Zhou Siyu pushed open the door and got out of the car, running towards the guardhouse. Yu Wen was startled and caught up with Zhou Siyu in a few quick steps before he could even close the door, grabbing him by the arm.
"President, President, that's General Yu." Yu Wen grabbed Zhou Siyu tightly and awkwardly explained to the bewildered group in front of them, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I mistook you for someone else."
"Mr. Zhou?" The guard was taken aback. "Are you here to collect General Yu's belongings?"
"Yes, yes, we're here to pack our things," Yu Wen said with a smile. "I heard we can drive our cars in?"
"Yes, please come over and register."
Yu Wen glanced at Zhou Siyu, then followed the guard into the duty room.
The young man in the black workout clothes felt embarrassed by Zhou Siyu's gaze. He scratched the back of his head, walked to the taxi, paid the fare, and then left, pulling his luggage with one hand and the young man in the shirt with the other.
"It wasn't him."
Zhou Siyu rubbed his temples. His recent insomnia had made his mind a mess, and everyone looked like Yu Wei.
After registering, Yu Wen went outside and found that a perfectly normal person had vanished into thin air.
After being pointed out by the guard, Yu Wencai noticed that his boss seemed to have lost his soul, with his hands in his pockets, slowly following behind the young couple.
Yu Wen rolled his eyes helplessly and looked up at the sky. "President, this makes you look like a pervert!"
The sun was still blazing, the road was still burning hot, the trees in the flowerbeds were still towering, the slogans from the training ground next door were still loud, and the food in the canteen was still as delicious as ever. Everything was the same, yet everything seemed to have changed.
Zhou Siyu stopped in front of the family compound and looked up at the person in front of her.
He wore a white shirt and black trousers, was tall and slender, with long blue hair flowing in the wind. His delicate face was expressionless as he stared blankly at the box in his arms.
"I thought you weren't coming." Chu Yunmu smiled wryly, glancing upstairs. "Want to come up together?"
Zhou Siyu nodded and followed Chu Yunmu upstairs. They opened the door, went inside, closed the door, and packed their things without exchanging a single word.
His things had been moved out long ago. Most of Yu Wei's things were in the study, and apart from a few potted plants on the balcony, it seemed there was nothing else he could take.
"These are all for you." Chu Yunmu handed the box to Zhou Siyu: "They're from Yu Wei's office. I was thinking of packing them up and sending them to you if you weren't coming."
"Thanks."
The box was small but heavy. Zhou Siyu couldn't resist her curiosity, so she placed it on the table and slowly opened it.
Besides medals and certificates, the box contained several photo frames and a small red box. Zhou Siyu picked up the box with trembling hands and slowly opened it, revealing a pair of exquisitely crafted wedding rings.
A wave of emotion washed over Zhou Siyu, and her nose stung. She tilted her head back and blinked hard, trying to hold back her tears.
Chu Yunmu lowered her eyes to conceal her emotions. When she first saw the box, although she had already made up her mind, she still refused to believe it.
I walked to the windowsill, took out a cigarette from my pocket, lit it, took a puff, held it between my fingers, and let my thoughts drift into the distance.
His first encounter with Yu Wei was awkward, yet also incredibly touching.
At the age of eighteen, he differentiated into an Omega, and his uncontrollable pheromones and handsome appearance brought him a lot of trouble.
Besides the fact that many of his peers or older colleagues would speak rudely to him or even physically assault him, his instructors also harbored ulterior motives towards him and repeatedly made unwanted physical advances towards him.
He dared not tell his father about his differentiation, nor did he dare tell his father about his experiences. He was afraid of his father's disappointed eyes, and even more afraid that his father would abandon him.
Unconditional tolerance only led to more outrageous transgressions. The instructor threatened to tell his father, forcing him to accept being marked. He was unwilling, but dared not refuse.
After repeated threats failed, the instructor took advantage of his vulnerable period and cornered him in an indoor basketball court, where he was forced to submit by the Alpha's pheromones.
Just as he was in despair, a basketball rolled to the feet of the instructors and their group. The boy's clear and casual voice was as melodious as a mountain spring, "Sorry, doing things unrelated to basketball is prohibited on the basketball court."
Chu Yunmu looked in the direction of the voice and saw the boy on the stands stand up, nimbly vault over the fence at the edge of the field, and walk smilingly to the group of people. "Instructor Zhang, what do you think?"
"Yu Wei, this is not training time. I order you to leave immediately."
Although the instructor was a little apprehensive, he still mustered up his courage and spoke.
Everyone knows that Yu Wei is Commander-in-Chief Yu's only son and Zuo Li's beloved disciple. To displease him is to displease the entire Yu family and the Military Commission.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot." Yu Wei shrugged and spread his hands. "But I just want to play basketball right now."
"Besides, there is no rule that says basketball courts are not allowed to be used for basketball-related sports outside of training hours."
“However, Instructor Zhang’s behavior seems to violate Article 20 of the Alliance Military Discipline Management Regulations.” Yu Wei blinked, looking like he didn’t quite understand, and “humbly” asked, “Instructor Zhang, am I right?”
