Zhou Siyu bought some food and brought it back to the repair shop. Everyone was still busy, and he coughed softly at the door.
"You're back? Have you eaten?"
Yu Wei poked half his head out, staring at what Zhou Siyu was carrying with a puzzled look.
"I figured you probably hadn't eaten either, so I brought some back with me."
Zhou Siyu smiled and waved the item in her hand. Yang Lie's eyes lit up, and he washed his hands with a smile before taking the item.
"It smells so good."
Yang Lie tidied up the coffee table, put everything on it, and stood by the window calling to the two people downstairs.
"They're here."
Yu Wei crawled out from under the car, walked to another car, and reached out to help Zhang Qing up.
"Didn't I say I'd do all this? It's inconvenient for you to crawl in and out like this."
"How can I let you do everything? Besides, I don't trust your skills."
Zhang Qing was joking; he hadn't actually paid anyone a salary, nor had he provided them with food and lodging, so it was wrong of him to make them work.
"Okay, okay, you're amazing."
Yu Wei didn't mind. Zhang Qing was a professional car repairman; his family had been in the repair business for generations. In addition, he was an honest man, so many people came here to get their cars repaired.
Zhang Qing's business was doing well, so his competitors couldn't stand it. They not only joined forces to suppress Zhang Qing, but also broke one of his legs.
"Wow, you bought so much, are we going to finish it all?"
Yu Wei was shocked by the table full of dishes. Had Zhou Siyu bought the restaurant?
"I didn't know what you guys liked to eat, so I just bought a little bit of everything." Zhou Siyu scratched the back of his head and said somewhat embarrassedly, "It seems like I bought a bit too much."
"It's okay, we have big appetites." Zhang Qing quickly added, afraid that Zhou Siyu would overthink it. "Besides, we still have a refrigerator."
"That's right, with the three of us gluttons around, you don't need to worry about wasting food."
"You're the one who's useless!" Yu Wei and Zhang Qing retorted in unison.
"By the way, where's that little kid next to you?" Yu Wei looked around. "Doesn't he eat?"
"He went back to feed the milk-flavored steamed buns."
"Milk-scented steamed buns? That's the name of that big white dog?" A white figure floated into Yu Wei's mind, and he felt like he had seen it somewhere before.
Zhou Siyu nodded. He clearly remembered Yu Wei's expression when he first heard the name, an indescribable look of disgust and helplessness, but later he called it more fluently than he did.
"It actually fits the image quite well."
Yu Wei silently ate his meal, holding his bowl. Calling him Da Bai or Xiao Bai would be much better—simple, powerful, and highlighting the dog's characteristics.
"I almost forgot, I still have some good wine." Zhang Qing slapped his forehead. "Wait here."
He then went to the next room, rummaged through the cabinet and found a bottle of wine, and went to the kitchen to get a few paper cups.
"I'm not drinking." Yu Wei waved his hand. "Why drink in broad daylight? We still have work to do this afternoon."
"Work is never-ending." As soon as the bottle cap was opened, the aroma of wine slowly spread throughout the room. Zhang Qing took a sniff and squinted his eyes contentedly. "But life is meant to be enjoyed."
"Oh, you've finally decided to bring out this aged liquor that you've been storing for years?" Yang Lie swallowed hard, holding the paper cup and staring at the slowly flowing liquid. "Quick, fill it up, fill it up."
"I don't have anything special to offer you," Zhang Qing said, pouring out a glass of wine and handing it to Zhou Siyu. "I hope you won't find it offensive."
"Thank you, thank you."
Zhou Siyu took the wine and, imitating the scene in the drama, took a big gulp. The spiciness hit his nasal cavity and throat, making his face turn red, and he covered his mouth and coughed.
"If you can't drink it, then don't drink it."
Yu Wei snatched the paper cup and got up to get him some milk.
"I'm sorry, I thought you would drink it..."
"It's okay, it's okay." Zhou Siyu waved her hand with a smile, took the milk and drank a few mouthfuls. "I think it tastes pretty good."
Yu Wei stared blankly at the person in front of her, her beautiful face flushed, and her eyes were tinged with a rosy hue, making her look charming and alluring.
A beautiful scene suddenly flashed into his mind, and Yu Wei slapped himself across the face. The loud slap attracted everyone's attention.
"Um... there's a bug..."
Yu Wei scratched his face awkwardly, quickly sat down, and ate his meal silently with his head down.
Damn it! So what if she choked and her face turned red? How could he imagine that kind of scene? He's an animal! A pervert! A scoundrel!
He despises himself!
After recovering, Zhou Siyu stared at the paper cup next to Yu Wei and licked her lips. To be honest, it tasted pretty good.
"This wine has a strong aftereffect, don't drink it."
Yu Wei picked up the paper cup and drank the wine in one gulp in front of Zhou Siyu, then ate his food without changing his expression.
"Awooo~ My wine!"
Zhou Siyu inwardly groaned, staring intently at Yu Wei as if trying to bore a hole into him, but to no avail. He could only turn his head and look pitifully at Zhang Qing.
"Don't let him drink." Yu Wei saw through his little scheme and snatched the bottle from Zhang Qing. "You should drink less too, you still have work to do this afternoon."
"You have the afternoon off." Zhang Qing took a sip of wine, his eyes narrowing with satisfaction. "Go out and explore; you might just meet someone you click with."
"I already told you I have a wife, don't worry about me." Yu Wei rolled her eyes. "But you, you're not getting any younger and still not married. Are you planning to spend your whole life running this shop?"
"Let's talk about it after Qingqing graduates."
Zhang Qing took a sip of wine, feeling bitter. He was shameless, penniless, and his leg was in such a state. Who would want him, a burden?
"Stop, stop! We're having a good time eating, you two are ruining the atmosphere." Yang Lie took a sip of his drink and put down his glass. "Ha... refreshing! Old Zhang, you should have brought out this wine a long time ago."
"If I had taken it out sooner, you would have drunk it all."
