Chapter 156 Tools
When the princess and her husband got married, they did not worship heaven and earth, but only performed the rituals between the monarch and his subjects.
Wu Yaoming happily knelt down to pay homage to the Sixth Princess, then took her to the Wu family temple to pay homage. After returning to the palace to attend the banquet, he followed the Sixth Princess to her newly opened mansion.
The moment he had imagined countless times was about to come, and he was smiling so hard that the corners of his mouth never closed.
Unexpectedly, as soon as they entered the Princess's Mansion, the Sixth Princess ordered her attendants: "Take the Prince Consort to the side courtyard for placement."
He was stunned.
"Princess, we haven't drunk the wedding wine yet."
Settled so quickly?
The Sixth Princess glanced him up and down, saying with disgust, "Have you ever looked in the mirror? With your toad-like appearance, are you worthy of drinking the wedding wine with me?"
Wu Yaoming's heart twitched.
He knew that he was not good-looking, but he was her husband. They were married now, so could they still live their own lives like before?
"I'm the consort appointed by His Majesty to you, how come I'm not worthy?"
He said aggrievedly.
"If I hadn't asked the Ninth Prince of Beituo for mercy, you would have been on your way to marry into the Beituo clan."
The Sixth Princess was furious when she heard this.
"How dare you bring that up! If you hadn't gone to the Ninth Prince of Beituo and said such nonsense, tarnishing my reputation, would I have married an ugly freak like you?"
"I can find someone else to be my consort and I won't need a marriage alliance. Stop taking advantage of me and showing off your kindness!"
Even though Wu Yaoming admired the person in front of him, he was still hurt by her calling her a toad and an ugly monster.
Apart from being ugly, what else is there that makes him unworthy of her?
The ancestors of their Wu family were the right-hand men of Taizu. Without the efforts of their Wu family, Taizu might not have been able to conquer the country!
His mother was also a daughter of a marquis. The imperial concubine was just a country girl, not even worthy of being his mother's maid.
It was all thanks to his good looks and the favor of His Majesty that he was able to rise to prominence.
He didn't look down on her commoner blood, so why should she look down on him?
"Whether you recognize me or not, I am your consort. If you don't let me sleep in the same bed with you tonight, I will go to the palace and tell His Majesty tomorrow!"
He huffed.
The Sixth Princess laughed out loud.
"Just tell Father and see whether he sides with you or me."
The princess had the right to prevent her husband from sleeping with her. Moreover, her marriage to Wu Yaoming was just a temporary measure. Even if she locked Wu Yaoming in the woodshed and deprived him of food and water, her father would never blame her.
After hearing her words, Wu Yaoming came to his senses.
She had never thought of marrying him. She only wanted to avoid the marriage of peace with the emperor. As soon as the marriage delegation left, she was afraid that she would divorce him immediately.
He, the son-in-law, is just a disposable tool.
"How could you bully me like this!"
His eyes were red.
"I'm completely sincere to you, and I've tried every possible way to help you solve your problems, yet you're using me as a tool!"
The Sixth Princess sneered, "You're allowed to take advantage of me, but I'm not allowed to treat you like a worn-out shoe? Don't act like you've been deceived. This affair between you and me is all fabricated by you!"
Wu Yaoming had already drunk a lot of wine at the palace banquet, and now he was so angry that he completely lost his mind.
He rushed forward, picked up the Sixth Princess, put her on his shoulders, and ran straight to the bedroom.
"Then don't blame me for being a bad person!"
The Sixth Princess was extremely panicked.
Punching and kicking Wu Yaoming on the shoulder.
But she was delicate and weak, while Wu Yaoming was tall and strong, and her little strength could not shake Wu Yaoming at all.
"What are you all standing there for?"
She looked up and shouted at the attendant.
"Hurry up and save me!"
The servant came to his senses, stepped forward quickly and stopped Wu Yaoming.
"Prince Consort, put the princess down!"
Wu Yaoming kicked the person blocking his way away and said, "This prince consort and the princess are consummating their marriage. Do you have any say in this?"
The attendant hurriedly called for the guards.
The guards chased him hard and finally caught him before Wu Yaoming closed the dormitory door.
The Sixth Princess climbed up from the bed, walked to Wu Yaoming, who was kneeling on the ground with his shoulders held down by the guards, picked up the vase on the high table beside her, and smashed it hard on Wu Yaoming's forehead.
"Dare to touch me? Die!"
She turned all the shock she had just received into anger and smashed it again and again.
Until the servant reached out to stop him.
"Princess, the prince consort is dying. Please spare him for now."
She then let go of the vase.
When he looked at Wu Yaoming, he was lying on the ground motionless with blood all over his head.
"Drag him to the side yard."
She kicked the hem of her skirt in disgust.
There was a lot of blood splattered on her skirt, which made her feel uncomfortable all over.
"Prepare water, I need to take a bath."
The attendants obeyed.
When she finished bathing, the attendant suddenly rushed in in panic: "Princess, the prince consort is dead."
"What?!"
She was shocked.
"Wu Yaoming is dead?"
The attendant nodded.
She stiffened.
He then quickly walked out of the dormitory and ran towards the side courtyard where Wu Yaoming was.
Wu Yaoming was lying on the bed, the blood on his face had dried, his complexion was blue and black, and his eyes were wide open.
She checked his breathing with trembling hands and found that there was no breath. Her legs and feet suddenly went limp.
The servant quickly supported her.
"When did he leave?"
She asked anxiously.
Just now she just wanted to teach Wu Yaoming a lesson and didn't think of killing him.
The attendant whispered, "When the servant and the guards escorted the Prince Consort back to the courtyard, we didn't check his breathing. Just now, we saw the Prince Consort's servant suddenly run towards the gate of the mansion. We felt uneasy, so we went into the courtyard to check and found out."
She was shocked.
"His servant left the house?"
The attendant nodded.
"That boy must have gone to report the news to the Marquis of Wu'an!" she exclaimed in horror. "Quickly send someone to stop him!"
The attendant hurriedly notified the guards.
But it was too late.
As soon as the guards went out to chase someone, the wife of Marquis Wu'an broke into the princess's mansion with the palace servants.
"Ming'er!"
After seeing Wu Yaoming's body, the wife of Marquis Wu'an knelt beside the couch and cried bitterly.
"My Ming'er!"
The Sixth Princess said stubbornly, "Madam, I didn't expect such an accident to happen. My husband got drunk and wanted to perform a head-butting vase show for me..."
The wife of the Marquis of Wu'an turned around abruptly, her eyes bloodshot. "You vicious, vicious woman! You will get your comeuppance! Just wait! Even if it costs me my life, I will seek justice for my Ming'er!"
After saying this, he called out to the servants he had brought with him.
"Tear down the door panel, carry the prince up, and let's go to the palace!"
The Sixth Princess was in a panic.
"Madam, calm down. The prince's spirit in heaven wouldn't want to see you making things difficult for me..."
"Pooh!"
The wife of Marquis Wu'an spat fiercely in her face.
"Ming'er's greatest misfortune is that he fell in love with a wicked woman like you! You are not worthy of mentioning him!"
Then he pushed her aside and together with the palace guards, carried Wu Yaoming onto the door panel.
The Sixth Princess wiped the saliva from her face, gritted her teeth and walked out of the side yard.
"Even if you risk your lives, you must stop the people from the Marquis of Wu'an's residence for me. They will not be allowed to set foot outside the Princess's residence before I return home!"
She ordered the guards.
The guards responded in unison.
She ran to the back door with her attendants and hurried to the palace.
