☆, Chapter 76 Emotions

Wen Mianyu took the towel handed to her by her assistant, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and said, "Sorry, Director Lin, I'm a little confused. Can we take a break?"

"No breaks!" Director Lin yelled, "You two, hold hands! Go back to the car and come back to shoot when you're ready!"

Wen Mianyu sighed helplessly, returned the towel to the assistant, and grabbed Lu Congxu's wrist. "Let's go to the car, Brother Congxu."

The weather is very hot today, the sun is scorching, and even many people around here can't stand it and leave.

Lu Congxu was also sweating from the sun, and his white shirt was sticking to his body, revealing his sexy muscle lines.

He lowered his eyes slightly, beads of sweat rolled down from his brows to his long eyelashes, and his usually cold and handsome eyebrows and eyes actually showed a bit of pity. "Sorry, it's my problem," he said.

Wen Mianyu wiped his sweat distressedly and said, "No, my performance was not good later. Now is not the time to summarize the problem. Let's go to the car to cool down first."

"It seems that both the leading actors are not in good shape today. Maybe it's too hot."

Watching Lu Congxu and Wen Mianyu get into the car from afar, Ye Qianan spoke casually.

His words were considerate, but his expression was different. His gentlemanly appearance might fool some young people, but it couldn't fool Director Lin, who had a keen eye.

Director Lin was prone to yelling at people on set, but that didn't change his admiration for Lu Congxu. He said, "You only know how to act once you've gotten into it. Even the best actors have bad days. Qian'an, you'll understand after you've acted a few times."

"Then let's see how many times I NG tomorrow. I guess I can't match Mr. Lu's record." Ye Qianan smiled leisurely.

Director Lin looked down on his smug look and said, "Let's see tomorrow. I hope Qian'an's acting skills don't disappoint me."

"Drink some water?" After closing the car door, Wen Mianyu took out a bottle of water from the trunk and handed it to Lu Congxu.

The RV was parked under a tree, sheltered from the sun by the shade. Although the water in the trunk was at room temperature, it was much cooler than on the set.

Lu Congxu took it, shook it lightly, and said, "Thank you."

"Why are you being so polite to me?" Wen Mianyu smiled, then frowned again, "What's wrong with you today? Are you feeling unwell?"

As she spoke, Wen Mianyu suddenly thought of something and put her hand on Lu Congxu's forehead, looking puzzled. "Strange, it's not hot at all. Are you having heatstroke?"

"I'm fine." Lu Congxu shook his head and moved back slightly to avoid her touch.

Wen Mianyu took her hand back and asked, "Are you really okay? If you feel uncomfortable anywhere, you must tell me. This is not something that can be hidden."

She knew how dedicated Lu Congxu was to his work and was worried that he would hide his physical condition.

"I'm really fine, it's just..." Lu Congxu paused and said ambiguously, "I'm not feeling well."

"That's good." Wen Mianyu breathed a sigh of relief and leaned back in her chair. "It's good that it's not a physical problem. Everyone has bad health."

"Yeah." Lu Congxu responded, his long eyelashes drooping.

"So do you want to calm down and find your state by yourself, or do you want us to find our state together?" Wen Mianyu asked.

Lu Congxu thought for a moment and said, "Let's act it out."

His current state is not suitable for calmness. If he calms down, he will think more. He wants to find something to divert his attention.

"Okay." Wen Mianyu handed him the script.

"No need." Lu Congxu took it and put it aside. He remembered the lines, "Let's get started."

Wen Mianyu also knew her lines very well, and the problem of the two of them frequently failing was not about the lines. She looked at Lu Congxu and swallowed the lines that were about to come out of her mouth.

Wen Mianyu stood up, and because of the height of the RV, she leaned slightly. She felt that this posture was not very convenient, so she squatted down in front of Lu Congxu and put her hands on the man's knees.

Lu Congxu lowered his eyes and met her gaze.

Wen Mianyu raised her head slightly, "I don't know why you're not in a good mood, but I don't think you want to talk about it, right?"

"I..." Lu Congxu's thin lips moved slightly.

It's not that he doesn't want to say it, it's that he doesn't know how to say it.

"Okay, then I won't ask why." Wen Mianyu raised her hand and rubbed his brow with her fingertips. "Don't frown. If you don't want to talk about it, then don't talk about it. Then can you tell me how you feel right now? Do you want to take a walk with me and slowly let it go, or do you want to go back?"

"No need to go back." Lu Congxu said.

"Really not necessary?" Wen Mianyu asked.

There are times when she herself has trouble finding her groove. When Wen Yuxian passed away, she joined the crew right after the funeral. The filming was a mess for two consecutive days, and she couldn't get into character at all. Later, she had to ask for a week's leave from the crew.

That was also the first time she took such a long leave for personal reasons.

Emotions are not something that can be controlled. Wen Mianyu considers himself a person with strong self-control, but there are times when he cannot relieve himself. What about Lu Congxu?

"If you feel like you can't find your form, don't force yourself. It's okay to go back and rest for a day. Director Lin will understand." Wen Mianyu said.

Her eyes were filled with concern and worry. Lu Congxu saw it, and the emotions that he couldn't suppress in his heart instantly dissipated halfway.

Wen Mianyu was worried about him.

As this thought arose, the rest faded. Lu Congxu tightened his grip on Wen Mianyu's hand, pinching her fingers with his fingertips. "I'm fine. Give me a few minutes, and I'll adjust."

"Okay." Wen Mianyu smiled and was about to say something when someone suddenly knocked on the car window twice.

The car door was opened, and the assistant leaned halfway in, "Brother Lu..."

The young assistant was holding a plate of iced grapes, and when he saw the posture of the two people in the car, he froze.

The two people inside might not have noticed, but in his opinion, Wen Mianyu was squatting in front of Lu Congxu, and Lu Congxu was leaning slightly forward. The two were very close, and if they moved a little closer they could kiss, and their hands were holding together.

This scene is not ambiguous. I don’t agree with the word ambiguous.

The assistant was embarrassed and felt that he had interrupted something nice. "I'm sorry, Brother Lu!"

With that, he turned around like a javelin and was about to leave.

Wen Mianyu hurriedly called out, "What are you doing! Come back!"

The young assistant was forced to turn around, his expression indescribable.

Wen Mianyu was confused and glanced at the plate in her hand. "Aren't the grapes for us? Where do you want to take them?"

"Grapes..." The assistant stood up straight. "Director Lin sent these grapes. He said the weather is too hot and he's worried you might get a heat stroke. You should eat something cool to cool down."

Then he said to Lu Congxu, "Brother Lu, if you feel uncomfortable, just tell him that your health is important. Don't hide it just because of the progress."

"Got it. Thank Director Lin for me." Lu Congxu said.

"Okay!" The young assistant responded, stepped one leg onto the carriage, stretched out his arm to put the plate on the table, and then hurried out.
