Chapter 30: Skilled like a forensic doctor

"Why don't we go and take a look?" Tang Anan suggested with a hint of interest in his eyes.

Tang Jili: "Okay." They went wherever An An said.

Chen Ruolan tightly grasped the dagger in her hand. She did not dare to be careless in such an environment. Seeing that both of them intended to go to that place, she became more alert.

If the family are all good people, they can get some time to rest. If they are a group of people with extraordinary strength but cruel hearts, it may be difficult to deal with them, and they may end up walking into a wolf's den.

Tang Anan discreetly observed Chen Ruolan's reaction, and after seeing her expression, she felt satisfied. Her reaction was correct. If she hadn't been on guard, she would have been the one questioning the system's decision.

When they came to the vicinity of the house, it was quiet all around, as if there was no life at all.

Tang Anan glanced around casually, her expression suddenly changing. She closed her eyes and listened carefully, hearing the faint roar of zombies.

It wasn't on the ground, nor in the room itself; the sound seemed to be echoing in the empty space. Where could it be?

"Something's weird." Tang Anan looked at the house. There were bloodstains on its outer wall, but there were no signs of damage on the doors and windows.

Logically speaking, as long as zombies approach this area, they will leave some scratch marks, but there are none here, which is very strange.

"Did you hear any sound?" Tang Anan looked at the two of them.

Yan Jili's eyes flickered, and he pursed his lips. His face darkened slightly, clearly indicating he hadn't heard. However, he also noticed something strange about the house.

"These zombies on the ground still have the crystal cores in their brains, but there's not a single intact piece of flesh on their bodies. It's a bit strange," he said.

Chen Ruolan took a look and found the zombies even more disgusting upon closer inspection. She covered her mouth and nose and said helplessly, "Isn't it normal for zombies to not have a single piece of good meat?"

"It is indeed normal. What is abnormal is that there is something wrong with the incision." Yan Jili stepped on the abnormal parts with his shoes, his voice deep and rich.

"Broken incision?" Upon hearing this, Chen Ruolan squatted down and forced himself to get closer to check, suppressing the discomfort.

"It doesn't look like a bite, it looks more like..." Tang Anan locked his eyes.

They both said in unison: "Knife cut!"

Tang Anan's eyes widened slightly, a bit surprised. Someone would have nothing better to do than cut zombie flesh with a knife? Furthermore, it didn't look like a cut from a fight at all.

"Could this cut have been made by someone inside? If so, I don't want to go in. His technique is as skillful as a forensic doctor." Chen Ruolan shook his shoulders.

"Well, I'm even more interested." Tang Anan's fair and tender face, her eyes like the bright moon, were staring straight ahead. "I'm really curious."

Well... I heard curiosity kills the cat. Chen Ruolan hesitated.

"We'll see what happens." After saying that, Yan Jili held Tang Anan's long legs and walked towards the door.

Seeing the two had already passed, Chen Ruolan had no choice but to follow. She was just a young girl, barely surviving the shock of the unknown. She hoped that God would be kind to her. Chen Ruolan clasped her hands together and prayed silently.

Tang Anan reached out and knocked on the door, saying loudly: "Is anyone inside? We would like some water to drink." After knocking, he waited quietly.

Chen Ruolan hid behind Yan Jili so that if there was any danger, she would not be knocked down before she could react.

After a few seconds, no one inside responded, but the zombie roars that were faintly heard by the ears could no longer be heard.
