Chapter 6.11: The War Between Rats and Men
"Sister Qiao, it's bad, it's a zombie rat!"
As soon as she finished speaking, blood-red spots of light appeared in all directions, and the number of spots was increasing. Tian Yuanyuan's hand holding the knife trembled slightly. She pulled Qiao Zixi behind her and protected her in the corner.
A zombie rat flew towards Tian Yuanyuan's face like lightning. She didn't dare to dodge, fearing that if she dodged, the zombie rat would bite Qiao Zixi who was standing behind her to death. She exerted force with both hands, grasped the machete and swung it fiercely. With a "clang", the zombie rat was swung against the wall.
Zombie rats swarmed in from all directions. Tian Yuanyuan held the knife in both hands and swung it continuously, swinging the machete with great vigor. However, even so, she could not stop the increasing number of wounds on her body and the zombie rats that kept coming one after another.
Tian Yuanyuan's face was pale, and the resentment and fear in her heart overwhelmed her like a tide. She shouted loudly, and suddenly a stream of water shot out from between her fingers, directly piercing the head of the zombie rat closest to her.
Seeing this, she suddenly felt that the zombie rat's blood-red eyes, sharp teeth, and sharp claws were no longer so scary.
Looking at Tian Yuanyuan, who was standing in front of her with a machete in one hand and a water arrow in the other, exuding murderous aura, Qiao Zixi stood quietly in the corner, occasionally raising her hand and waving out a stream of air to smash the zombie rats attacking her. This light wave directly shattered the zombie rats into ashes.
As time passed, Tian Yuanyuan knew that her water arrows would not last long, and the machete had already been bent, and could not cause much damage to the zombie rats. The zombies outside the door had heard the noise and kept attacking the rolling door. If she didn't find a way to break out, she might be killed by the zombie rats in the next moment.
The blood on his body had already stained his clothes, and the smell of blood stimulated the zombie rats and the zombies outside the door to become even more crazy.
Tian Yuanyuan knocked off a zombie rat that was gnawing on her arm, and endured the pain to shoot several water arrows accurately at the head of the zombie rat at her feet.
She clearly felt the rapid loss of strength and the weakening of the power of the water arrow. Looking at the blood-red light spots that were still flashing in front of her and were increasing in number, the helplessness and despair in her heart spread again.
She pressed herself tightly against Qiao Zixi's belly, waving her numb arms and using her body to build a fortress for the person behind her.
Just as she was about to fight to the death, she heard a loud "bang", and then her body suddenly flew out. A soft arm hugged her waist, her feet left the ground, flew over the wall, and flew to the roof of the opposite building. Until her feet touched the ground, Tian Yuanyuan was still stupidly dazed and couldn't recover.
She heard a light laugh, and then she realized that she had left the fruit shop and was standing on the rooftop opposite.
"Sister Qiao, do you have wind-related abilities? Can you control the wind and fly?"
"Well, you could say that."
"That's great! Fortunately, Sister Qiao, you have special abilities, otherwise we would have been fed to rats today."
When Tian Yuanyuan thought about how she was almost eaten by a rat, she felt so nauseous that she wanted to vomit.
"When we encountered the zombie rats before, I didn't take you out immediately. Do you blame me in your heart?"
Tian Yuanyuan stood on the roof, looking at the fruit shop below which was surrounded by countless zombie rats and zombies. She felt a little scared, but when she heard Qiao Zixi ask this, she smiled brightly.
"Sister Qiao, how could I blame you? You saved me because you were kind-hearted. If you didn't save me, I wouldn't hold a grudge against you. After all, we've only known each other for a day."
Tian Yuanyuan clearly understood that in the end times, an era of killing where law and morality have been lost, she could only constantly sharpen herself, constantly hovering between life and death, making herself stronger and stronger. It is better to rely on herself than on others!
