Chapter 86 91. Experience Farm Work
The village chief looked embarrassedly at the dozen or so pairs of eyes in front of him that were staring at him with anticipation.
"We are only the descendants of the general, not the general and the witch."
"What? The general actually had a child behind the witch's back. I'm so angry, what a scumbag!" Lin Jun really couldn't imagine that the truth behind such a tragic love story would be so unbearable.
"The general is like this. The witch died in vain. Oh, I'm going to cry to death." Jian Cheng'an had a look of disgust on his face. He held his chest and cried out in disgust.
Everyone was complaining about the general being a scumbag, beating their chests in anger, leaving the village chief dumbfounded. This was all a grudge from thousands of years ago, and even if he asked him, a descendant, he wouldn't be able to figure it out. After all, he wasn't involved! However, the ancestral hall contained a family tree and records that were covered in dust. If everyone looked them up, they would know the truth.
Han Yixiao looked guilty, Qiao Zixi seemed to have fallen asleep after being rocked, and the three children, Huo Shan, looked confused.
After a while, the village chief couldn't stand the noise anymore, so he swallowed what he was about to say and got up and left.
Even a sumptuous lunch at noon could not alleviate everyone's contempt for the general.
A group of people thought they had seen through the men in the village. When they went to bed at night, they even took out a screaming chicken toy and placed it outside the door to ward off men.
Seeing this, the village chief really wanted to shout: "I am really impressed by you guys!"
The group stayed in the village for several days. It was the end of September and the beginning of October, which was the harvest season. The golden grains of wheat in the rice fields swayed in the wind.
Han Yixiao, Lin Jun, Jian Cheng'an, Qiao Ziyi, Huo Huai, Yu Zhiming, Huo Yao, Sun Bingsheng, and Chen Yang, several grown men, were waving sickles in the rice fields, sweating profusely as they harvested rice. After harvesting one field, they moved to another. After finishing harvesting, they bundled the rice into piles and carried them to the threshing ground. They untied the ropes, spread the harvested rice flat on the ground, and pulled the millstone back and forth on the rice until it was completely threshed.
After harvesting the rice, several people followed the villagers to break corn, pick peanuts, dig sweet potatoes, and pick rapeseed.
They were like busy little field mice, constantly jumping around in the fields to store food for the winter. Until the day they left, they were still reluctant to leave and helped the villagers work in the fields.
The villagers were so moved that they spontaneously gave a lot of agricultural products to these hardworking young men. Both sides were reluctant to leave, and they finally left with tears in their eyes, carrying large and small bags.
"Oh my God, we finally left. If I had continued, I would have fallen apart." Sun Bingsheng ran very fast with the package on his shoulder. He didn't even hold Xiao Ling and Xiao Li, for fear that Han Yixiao would drag him to do farm work again.
"Is it easy for me to make this little thing? I work overtime day and night, just afraid that if I'm late, they will not give me the new rice." Yu Zhiming was really exhausted. He was a person with enhanced body ability, but he was treated like a cow.
"Hurry up, hurry up, let's go while that stupid eagle isn't paying attention!" Lin Jun, who had already suffered a psychological trauma from the scene of the giant eagle pecking his butt, came to the thick fog again and kept urging everyone to hurry up.
"It seems it's too late, it's already here." Jian Cheng'an looked at the giant eagle flying over with a look of gloating on his face.
Lin Jun hid behind Han Yixiao and stuck his head out to look. He saw a giant eagle not far from the crowd, clasping its two big claws together and bowing to Qiao Zixi.
Seeing this, Qiao Zixi nodded slightly.
"What is it doing?" Huo Shan lay on Huo Huai's back and looked at the scene in confusion.
"It should be thanks to Miss Qiao for repairing the formation." Huo Huai explained softly.
"It's so clever! Hey, why is it pointing upwards? What's it doing?"
"Well"
Everyone looked at the silly eagle pointing its claws at the sky and flapping its wings non-stop.
So they all looked up at the sky, and saw a plane flying towards them in the distance.
