It seemed that Song Libai only then realized that they had almost never interacted like this before.

Even though we still hold hands, hug, and often do the most intimate things couples do, this gentle and peaceful kiss is the first time we've ever had one.

It seems that only when she is not in a conscious state can he easily approach her without deliberately provoking her.

"Hiss!" Lost in thought, Qiao Yi unconsciously increased the force of her movements, and feeling the pain, she bit his lip.

Her eyes were misty, and her voice carried a hint of coquettishness, "It hurts, and it doesn't taste very good."

Song Libai gently wiped the remaining water from the corner of her lips with his fingertip and coaxed her softly, "Let's go home, baby."

Qiao Yi nodded obediently, and the two held hands again, looking peaceful and serene.

After walking for less than two minutes, Qiao Yi stopped and looked at him, ordering, "If you don't want to walk anymore, carry me on your back."

Song Libai resignedly squatted down, finding her adorably silly antics amusing, and he was happy to indulge her.

Qiao Yi lay on his back, her head resting on his shoulder. Her warm breath, mixed with the smell of alcohol, occasionally sprayed onto his neck, making it a little itchy and numb.

"I met a jerk, I hate him so much." Her muffled voice came from behind him, clearly showing her displeasure.

Song Libai pursed his lips. Of course he knew that the bad guy was him, without a doubt.

But she said she hated him, and he felt a pang of sadness, as if he were being pricked by countless needles, and pain was everywhere he went.

He asked her softly, "What made you unhappy, darling?"

“He’s been bullying me since the first time we met. He’s always bullying me. I hate him so much, I absolutely hate him.” Qiao Yi replied, unable to hide the resentment in her voice. “He even forced himself on me today. I hate him so much.”

Song Libai's heart sank. The things she did in a moment of madness today would probably leave a shadow in her heart. Even though she was drunk and didn't recognize people, she still harbored resentment in her heart.

"I'll never talk to him again." Whether it was more of a sincere statement or just a fit of pique, it all drifted away in the wind.

"Does your baby like him?" Song Libai asked tentatively upon hearing this.

Was he the only one who developed genuine feelings in this game?

Qiao Yi was silent for a while, then shook her head vigorously, "I don't like it, I hate it."

Song Libai gave a slight, bitter smile. He shouldn't have asked; he still had suspicions and expectations in his heart.

He didn't know how or when he fell in love.

But his heart told him clearly today, "Admit it, you've already fallen for her."

Perhaps it was love that grew over time, or perhaps it was love at first sight.

It all started when he forced her to sign that unfair three-month agreement, when he couldn't wait to see her give in and admit defeat, and when he became increasingly clingy to her.

He conceded defeat in this game; he was the first to fall into the trap.

Qiao Yi heard him quiet down and didn't say anything more, but just leaned gently against his back, feeling a little tired.

The journey was silent. The girl fell into a deep sleep on his back, and only her soft breathing could be heard.

The sound of the door opening startled her awake, her voice still sleepy, "Are you home yet?"

Song Libai gently rubbed her head and coaxed her softly, "Go back to sleep, baby."

The wind dispelled much of the effects of the alcohol, and Qiao Yi's mind became much clearer. Her drowsiness gradually dissipated, and when she saw the familiar surroundings, her heart sank.

The events of the afternoon seemed to replay in her mind; she closed her eyes and remained silent.

She was gently placed on the bed by the man, and lay there quietly, listening to the sounds coming from the kitchen. She felt a mix of emotions.

The man stood by her bedside with a bowl of hangover soup, bent down and gently kissed her forehead, his voice tender, "Wake up, baby."

She ignored him and continued to pretend to be fast asleep. She was a little tired and didn't want to argue with him for the time being, nor did she want to pretend that nothing had happened and continue to try to smooth things over.

Song Libai gently tucked her blanket in and tenderly helped her up with his hand. "Baby, drink some hangover soup before you sleep. You'll feel more comfortable."

Almost the instant he approached, she shrank back, opened her eyes, and her gaze turned cold.

He gave a slight, bitter smile, trying his best to hide it. "Are you awake?"

"Hmm, I'm awake now." This "awake" wasn't just from sleepiness, but also from the effects of alcohol, and even more so from the clarity that comes after a period of mental confusion.

"Drink it before you sleep." The man reached out and handed it to her. He knew his place; a sober woman wouldn't let him get close so easily.

Qiao Yi silently accepted the drink and downed it in one gulp.

An eerie silence fell over the air as both of them waited for the other to break it first.

Until Qiao Yi spoke, "I'm tired, and I've already done everything for today." Her attitude of getting rid of him was self-evident.

He also used the coldest words to draw a clear line between the two of them once again.

Song Libai nodded and reached out to wipe her lips, but she quickly dodged him.

He turned around at the door and said softly, "Yi Yi, I'm sorry about what happened today."

Qiao Yi didn't respond; she simply covered her head with the blanket, seemingly not wanting to see him for even a second.

After the man left, Qiao Yi carefully reflected on whether she had made a mistake from the beginning and shouldn't have acted that way.

She always felt that something had changed between them, so fast that she couldn't grasp it no matter how hard she tried.

As her memories returned, she recalled what had happened at the bar. It should be said that their time together while drunk was the most harmonious they had been in the past two months.

Normally, it seems that he only calls her "baby" tenderly when he is deeply in love.

Only today did they have their first truly tender kiss, even though it was when she wasn't thinking clearly.

She had a vague suspicion that perhaps Song Libai's feelings for her were more than just those of a bed partner, which was why he had gone mad.

However, he used the wrong method and hurt her.

She didn't want to forgive him, nor did she want to accept his apology.

Once the deadline arrives, the bridge will go back to its bridge, and the road will go back to its road; neither of us will be able to hold the other back.

She slowly drifted off to sleep amidst her random thoughts, her dreams filled with a jumble of chaotic images.

One moment he's glaring at her menacingly, his eyes filled with hatred, wishing he could kill her with his own hands; the next moment he's calling her "baby" tenderly, his eyes full of love.

She was suddenly jolted awake from her sleep, sitting up in bed, feeling somewhat dazed.

She had to admit that he had some influence on her.

She was a little annoyed. When the deadline came, she wanted to extricate herself from the situation without leaving herself any room for maneuver.
