☆、Extra 31: Could it be just a dream? (Jiang Yu)

But the gears of fate keep turning, and no one knows what will happen next.

Everyone is being forced to move forward by time.

Jiang Yu seems to have no desire to recall what that day was like, or how she got through it.

If only it were all just a dream.

If only none of this had happened.

She clearly remembers how her parents doted on her, how she clung to them and acted spoiled, how their eyes welled up with tears at their wedding, and how her parents smiled as they prepared to take care of her baby…

Everything is still fresh in my memory.

How could it just disappear? How could it just vanish?

Just take a nap, you'll feel better after a nap.

As soon as Yin Yufeng entered the room, he saw that the curtains were drawn tightly shut, and the person on the bed was completely curled up in the quilt, wrapped up in a ball.

He sighed softly, went over and sat down on the edge of her bed, rubbing his temples with his hands, looking somewhat tired.

After the funeral arrangements were mostly completed, he went to investigate the driver who caused the accident. He found that the driver was just an ordinary person with no criminal record and no money transfer records.

It seemed like just a very ordinary car accident.

As a result, all three people present died on the spot.

It looks normal, but there's something strange about it.

The surveillance footage showed that his brakes failed, and he crashed straight into the couple.

He still remembers Jiang Yu's expression when she received the call, and how she nearly had a mental breakdown when the two arrived at the scene, yet she stubbornly insisted on watching it with her own eyes.

How cruel, dying on the spot.

Noticing a slight movement in the blanket, he cautiously reached out and touched it. The person inside the blanket flinched and did not respond.

He knew she was avoiding reality.

But he was worried about leaving her alone to wallow in sadness.

"Baby," he called softly, his voice so low it seemed as if he were afraid of startling the person in front of him.

Jiang Yu didn't move, but hid under the covers, letting her tears fall drop by drop. With her eyes closed, all she could see were the scenes from the scene.

The pain is unbearable, my heart is aching so badly I feel like I'm dying.

Yin Yufeng got up and gently carried her out, holding her in his arms and patting her back softly, "Baby."

He didn't even know what to say to comfort her. No one in this world can truly empathize with someone else's feelings. Even though he felt sorry for her sadness, he could only watch from the sidelines.

He couldn't save her in the slightest.

He could only call her name again and again, telling her that he was there, that he was by her side.

The girl seemed to be numb with grief; she didn't cry out loud, but tears kept falling from her eyes, and she was utterly depressed.

"Don't cry, baby. Mom and Dad are still here with us, we just can't see them." He patted her back, trying to comfort her with his clumsy words.

"Mom and Dad love our Jiang Yu the most, they would never want her to cry."

Hearing this, Jiang Yu seemed to finally break down, her voice breaking, "They loved me so much, why did they abandon me? Why don't they want me anymore?"

"Why don't you want me? Why did you abandon me?" She was somewhat stubborn, repeating these words over and over again.

There were so many things she hadn't had time to do with them, so many words she hadn't had time to say to them, and so many years she hadn't had time to spend with them.

Why did you abandon her halfway through?

Yin Yufeng held her tightly in his arms, patting her back, his voice gentle, "Mommy and Daddy have already gone to the next life to prepare a new home for our darling."

"Okay." Jiang Yu nodded obediently, tears still glistening in her eyes.

She understands the reasoning, but she just can't accept it.

It's hard to imagine that she will never see her parents again, who were so vibrant, so loving, and so dear to her.

At night, just as she was finally starting to feel sleepy, all she could see when she closed her eyes was the scene of the incident. Then the scene shifted, and they were smiling gently at her. "Xiaoyu, you." "Xiaoyu."

"Mom and Dad!" she screamed, jolting awake. Her hair was soaked with tears, and a deep sadness overwhelmed her.

How did we lose them?

Could it be a nightmare, and when you wake up, everything is still perfectly fine?

Yin Yufeng hugged her tighter and kissed her cheek tenderly. "Go to sleep, baby. There's a baby in your belly."

Jiang Yu felt a sudden jolt in her body. Looking down at her slightly protruding belly, she felt an overwhelming pang of heartache.

The baby is very well-behaved and has hardly caused her any trouble, staying peacefully in her belly.

She is this baby's mother, but her mother has passed away. Can her mother be returned to her?

She closed her eyes and started to overthink again, even considering the man's attitude earlier. Was he actually more worried about the child?

She gave an involuntary bitter smile. She knew how good this man was to her, so how could she doubt him like that?

She really, really misses her mom and dad.

Could I see them in my dreams?

"Xiaoyu, this is a cake that Mom made for you. Come and try it," Jiang's mother said gently, putting her arm around Xiaoyu's shoulder.

She turned to her mother and said sweetly, "Mom, you're the best! I love you the most!"

Mr. Jiang pretended to glare at them, then sat on the sofa and said arrogantly, "I spent the whole afternoon helping out, throwing away several samples, and nobody even knows."

She linked arms with her mother and moved closer to her father, smiling sweetly and saying, "Daddy's the best too, I love Daddy too!"

Just as Mr. Jiang was about to say something, Mrs. Jiang interrupted him, "How old are you? How childish are you? Is your next question going to be whether Dad or Mom is more important?"

Father Jiang turned his head away again, embarrassed, to hide his awkwardness.

However, it was still quite embarrassing to have it pointed out in front of my daughter.

Doesn't he have any pride?

Jiang Yu smiled and took her father's arm with her left hand and her mother's arm with her right hand, and began to act coquettishly, "Both Dad and Mom are the most important, but Dad, you are a man, so you should give in to Mom more."

"Okay, okay, let's cut the cake and let me taste my parents' cooking."

Jiang Yu took a bite and savored it slowly. Looking at her parents' expectant faces, she hesitated for a moment.

Jiang's mother glanced at Jiang's father and asked with some suspicion, "Didn't you say it tasted pretty good?"

"It's not bad," said Mr. Jiang, who also looked puzzled.

Could it be that his sense of taste is malfunctioning?

Seeing her parents' skeptical looks, Jiang Yu chuckled and slowly said, "It's full of the taste of love."

"You, you," Jiang's mother poked her forehead, her face full of helplessness and doting affection.

"Mom and Dad love me the most! Try it, it's so delicious! Mom and Dad are such great cooks!"

I'll make it for you often from now on.
