☆、Extra 8 She should meet a good person (Wen Ciyi Chapter)

It's really inexplicable; I always find myself unconsciously agreeing to that child's requests.

I couldn't bear to see her so disappointed.

"Handsome brother, have you missed me?" The little girl saw me from afar, took short steps and ran towards me, throwing herself into my arms, her voice soft and affectionate.

I reached out and caught her, then hugged her. "How old are you? Why are you still so clingy?"

"You're seven years old."

Wen Yuci jogged over, frowned slightly, and said in a reprimanding tone, "Xiao Yi!"

The little girl's eyelids drooped slightly, and she looked a little aggrieved as she prepared to climb down from my arms.

"They're just kids, you don't need to be so strict with them," I said, feeling a little reluctant.

Wen Yuci seemed a little embarrassed and touched her hair. "I'm sorry, it's really troubled to you."

"It's okay, I like her quite a bit."

I looked down at the little girl in my arms and asked her, "What do you want to play?"

"roller coaster!!!"

Me: "..." I'm afraid of heights, thank you.

But seeing the expectant looks on the faces of the two children, he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue. Oh well, a man can't say no.

When the roller coaster reached its highest point and began to plunge downwards, my heart was practically in my throat, and I closed my eyes tightly to calm myself down.

It gave me the feeling that I was about to leave this planet at any moment.

When it finally ended, I was half-dead, clutching my chest. When I looked at the two of them again, their eyes were full of excitement and eagerness.

"Mr. Wen, are you alright?" Wen Yuci handed me a bottle of water and asked softly.

I took the water and nodded to indicate that I was still alive.

"Handsome brother, your face is so pale. Are you afraid of heights?"

Correct, fair, incisive, and to the point.

Xiao Yi sighed, her tone somewhat regretful, "Let's go rest for a while."

Children are the least able to hide their emotions; their faces were full of disappointment and regret.

I waved my hand, "You guys don't need to go play, I'll sit for a while."

Upon hearing this, the little girl's eyes lit up again, and she blinked as she looked at Wen Yuci.

After the two left, I crossed my legs and leaned back on the bench, closed my eyes and pretended to doze off, once again questioning my decision today.

Next time, I will never go along with her nonsense again.

In fact, the flags we set are the easiest to be proven wrong. My child is contacting me more and more frequently and is becoming more and more dependent on me.

Gradually, I became familiar with Wen Yuci, and we would occasionally have meals together and joke around.

"Mr. Wen, why don't you date?" Wen Yuci asked casually.

"I haven't met anyone I like."

I glanced to the side and caught sight of Li Muli and Fu Chenyan. I smiled and said, "I ran into an acquaintance. I'll go say hello."

Sure enough, when I sat down at their table, Fu Chenyan peeled a shrimp in his hand and snapped at me irritably, "What are you doing here?"

"What's it to you?"

Li Muli gently nudged the man next to her and smiled at me, "Alright, you two."

Are you alone? We can share a table.

I hesitated for a moment, then turned my gaze to Wen Yuci, "There's another friend."

"Never mind, honey, let's not disturb his date."

I rolled my eyes at him, got up and went back to my seat. The girl looked a little dejected, her head hanging down, her chopsticks poking around in the plate.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Hearing my voice, she suddenly jumped, as if realizing something, "Oh, you're back?"

"What else?"

"Eat properly, or you'll be so thin the wind will blow you away." I casually put some food in her bowl and noticed that her ears had quietly turned red again.

She gets shy very easily. I've noticed.

"that……"

"you……"

We both started to speak at the same time, then stopped at the same time, "You go first."

"What type of... what do you like..." she stammered, her face turning almost completely red.

I seemed to realize something, and lowered my head to answer, "I guess it's someone I like."

"Okay, okay."

That's it? Just like that?

What happened next?

A profound silence fell, so quiet that only the sound of chopsticks clinking could be heard.

"What do you think..." She looked up at me, her hands clenched tightly, "How do I feel?"

"You like me?"

"Yes, it was love at first sight."

I chuckled softly, looked up and met her eyes, which remained clear and pure. "Do you know what kind of person I am?"

She paused before answering, "He's a good person... I guess." Her voice trailed off.

I'm not even confident anymore.

“Wen Yuci, you’ve actually realized that we’re not from the same world. You’re too pure, without any impurities, while I’m different.”

I said all this in one breath, without even knowing what I wanted to express. I just wanted to lay my true self out in front of her.

Her sincerity should earn me my honesty.

My heart tells me this.

“Yeah, I know. We’re not from the same world.” I thought she was going to give up and was about to praise me when she continued, “But I can try to get closer to your world.”

I sighed, somewhat puzzled. "Is it worth it? What's the point?"

The girl's clear eyes were filled with determination: "It's worth it. Anything I'm willing to do is worth it."

Even if we encounter many difficulties later?

"Um."

I suddenly didn't know what to say. I felt a little lost, but also a little hopeful. Was she the one I was waiting for? Was she the right one for me?

I don't know, and only time will tell.

So I looked into her eyes and answered her earnestly, "Can I wait until I truly fall in love with you?"

"good."

I don't like relationships based on feelings of being together. They're too fragile and can't withstand any test. They're always on the verge of collapse.

It is also irresponsible to both of them.

She should have met a good person.

If I am not, then I can try to move closer to being a good person.

I've grown up, I tell myself.

I don't know when it started, but I'm no longer the person I used to be.

However, it is something that is welcomed and appreciated.

I am very fortunate and happy, and I like myself very much.

I think I knew I would say yes.

People like to be around beautiful things, and now I like warm things, which is making me more and more gentle.

Like that cute but fierce little chubby cat.

Like her, sincere yet timid.

I'm just waiting for my heart to settle down and for me to give myself a real, honest answer.

"By the way, I have a really fierce little kitten. I'll bring it to you and Xiaoyi to see it another day."

"Ah, I seem to have forgotten something important."

"What's up?"

"It's time to pick Xiaoyi up from school..."

I got up, grabbed my car keys, fastened my coat, turned around and waved to her, "Let's go quickly, don't keep the little one waiting."
