When Long Tingwei arrived, he saw her sitting there peacefully without any tantrums, and he finally breathed a sigh of relief, having managed to appease the Queen.
There was still a lot of work piling up in the office, so Long Tingwei couldn't spend too much time with Jian Mujin and had to go to his office to review documents first.
When Jian Mujin returned from the toilet, she was about to sit down and watch cartoons when she twisted her ankle and screamed like a pig being slaughtered.
The employees present immediately went to help her up, and some rushed to the president's office to tell Long Tingwei.
There is a secretary outside Long Tingwei's office. Generally, you have to notify the secretary first if you need to do something, and only report to Long Tingwei after confirming that it is important.
But Jian Mujin's matter was a matter of utmost importance. The staff ran to the door and shouted it out, and Long Tingwei immediately ran out.
He looked flustered, and an inexplicable weariness appeared on his face. He rushed over to Jian Mujin, asking anxiously, "How did you twist your ankle?"
He was afraid that the leg he had twisted before hadn't healed properly, which was why Jian Mujin had twisted it again.
Long Tingwei has always felt guilty about this matter.
He crouched down and examined her ankle, while the employees remained anxiously seated, their eyes fixed on the president's stunningly handsome face.
Jian Mujin crossed her injured leg, clutching her ankle, her eyes still glued to the computer screen.
When Long Tingwei asked her, she muttered, "She just twisted it without any problems!"
Long Tingwei asked her a few questions and, after confirming that it wasn't because her leg bone hadn't fully recovered, he breathed a sigh of relief, though he was still nervous.
"Let me take you to the hospital first, and let the doctor do another check-up for you, okay?"
Jian Mujin clung to her laptop, refusing to go to the hospital. She waved her hand and said, "I don't want to go to the hospital. The smell in the hospital is too awful."
Long Tingwei didn't force her. He made a phone call to the orthopedic doctor, and even though the doctor was very busy, he was able to quickly come over thanks to Long Tingwei's connections.
Everyone who saw the woman being so pampered by the CEO was truly envious.
When the doctor arrived, the examination revealed that it was a sprained ankle, not a dislocated one. He told Long Tingwei not to worry and advised him to let Jian Mujin rest more and drink more bone broth to help strengthen her bones and muscles.
Long Tingwei nodded repeatedly. After having the doctor sent away, he touched her face and gently rubbed it with his fingertips. "You scared me to death. Let me carry you to my office to play. There are computers there too."
He had to review documents on one hand and take care of her on the other; it was impossible to have both.
But Jian Mujin didn't want to move, shaking her head like a rattle-drum, "No, no, it's no fun!"
Long Tingwei coaxed gently, "I have a bed there. Wouldn't it be more comfortable to play on the bed?"
Jian Mujin shook her head again, "I'm not going!"
Having no other option, Long Tingwei called his secretary, Xiao Ke, upstairs and asked her to bring down the documents he needed to review.
Jian Mujin glanced at him out of the corner of her eye and said with dissatisfaction, "It's just a few steps away, can't you go up and get it yourself!"
Long Tingwei laughed, "I'll keep an eye on you and won't let you run around."
Jian Mujin gave a soft hum and continued looking at the computer.
An employee found a chair for Long Tingwei, and he sat down next to Jian Mujin, occupying her desk. Since there were no documents on her desk, Long Tingwei had someone move another desk next to him so that the documents he had reviewed could be separated from those he hadn't.
"Hey, what kind of girlfriend did you find? It's not another one like Ling Yuexue, is it?"
While they were watching, Jian Mujin suddenly asked out of curiosity, and Long Tingwei, for a moment, was secretly pleased, raising an eyebrow and asking, "Do you mind that I have a girlfriend?"
"Why should I care? I wouldn't mind if you married Ling Yuexue's mother. The problem is, if your girlfriend treats me like Ling Yuexue did, I'll beat her to death!"
Long Tingwei was afraid she would bring up this matter, not because he felt uncomfortable, but because he was afraid that Jian Mujin would feel upset and wronged when she thought about it.
He touched Jian Mujin's face and smiled indulgently, "Don't worry, in my heart you will always be number one, and no one can surpass you!"
Will she understand if I say this?
"No one can surpass him? A man's words are just lies!"
"It's true, otherwise what do you want me to do for you to believe me?"
"I just don't believe it!"
Long Tingwei smiled bitterly. There was probably no one else who could question his deep affection and sincerity to this extent.
Long Tingwei continued reviewing documents, while Jian Mujin continued playing; it all looked quite harmonious.
"I want to eat something!" After looking around for a while, Jian Mujin wanted to stand up. She touched her pocket and found that she had no money again, so she sat down dejectedly.
"What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you!" Long Tingwei immediately put down his work and asked her.
"Hmm, snacks, cat ears, spicy strips..." Jian Mujin counted on her fingers.
Long Tingwei sighed, "Can't you eat something else that's nutritious?"
"No! I want to eat snacks!"
"Alright, I'll go buy it for you!" Long Tingwei conceded, tidied up the documents, and went downstairs.
Everyone was used to it. Ever since this woman started working here, all the office rules had been ignored. Even the CEO had compromised and personally bought her snacks. What could they say?
Long Tingwei insisted on not entrusting this matter to others. When he came down from the elevator, all the employees on all floors looked at the president's figure, wondering where he was going.
An hour later, Long Tingwei brought two people up, each carrying a bag full of snacks. They could even smell a rich bone broth.
Good heavens, is the CEO giving preferential treatment to that woman with the scar on her neck again?
These past few days, the only topic of conversation in the office has been Jian Mujin. There are many versions of the story, but the most common one is that Jian Mujin, this Cinderella, somehow managed to oust Ling Yuexue and win over Young Master Long and Old Master Long's hearts. In short, she's not just a femme fatale, but she's more like one!
Long Tingwei went in and asked her, "Shall we go to my office? It's easy to disturb other people's work if we do this."
Jian Mujin twisted her body. "I do this every day, and I haven't bothered anyone!"
Long Tingwei said nothing more and had the things put down.
Jian Mujin's eyes lit up, and she reached out her claws to grab it, but Long Tingwei slapped her down, "Is your foot healed?"
"Okay, okay. It doesn't hurt anymore!"
"Sit still, I'll take it to you!" Long Tingwei placed the package on her desk.
"Drink this bone broth while it's hot!" He pulled out a thermos from inside, took out a small bowl and a soup spoon, scooped out a bowl and fed her himself.
Jian Mujin wasn't in a hurry to drink, but instead looked for her favorite snacks. After rummaging around for a while, she became somewhat discouraged, "Why isn't there any ham, spicy strips, or instant noodles..."
"You're not allowed to eat much of that. You can only eat this much. Hurry up and finish your soup before you eat!"
Looking at Long Tingwei's serious face, Jian Mujin muttered, "You're quite nosy. Thank goodness I'm not your wife anymore!"
Long Tingwei felt extremely aggrieved. Was it really okay for him to just ignore it?
Jian Mujin still drank the bone broth.
