Chapter 125 Golden Monkey

This is a treasure! I'll put it into the stopping space first, where I can stop the frostbite from worsening.

Golden monkeys have thick fur and are very cold-resistant, but they still can't withstand temperatures as low as -50 degrees Celsius. It's a mystery how they survive. It seems that animals are much better able to adapt to their environment than humans.

It must have lived in that cave and came out to forage for food, which is why it froze.

The group continued driving. The area ahead was deserted, and the snow was thick and loose, so the car could only move forward at a snail's pace. But they made progress step by step, and fortunately, they were well-prepared and did not suffer much.

Because breakfast was eaten very late, there was no stop in between. At three o'clock, Bai Shuang took out three cups of hot milk, and everyone ate a hamburger and gave Xue Bao a chicken leg.

It wasn't until evening, when it was almost dark, that we stopped the car and, just like last time, found a secluded spot to release the RV.

Turn on the heater, and the car gradually warms up. First, let the monkey out and let it recover slowly in the warm car. Then, Bai Shuang will put an oxygen tube in it.

Then the three of them and the dog prepared to eat. Since it wasn't suitable to eat strong-smelling food in the car, they took out a portion of American ginseng stewed black-boned chicken, a portion of tomato stewed beef brisket, a portion of stir-fried bamboo shoots, and a portion of stir-fried bok choy. They ate rice as their staple food.

Feed the snow leopard boiled beef, mixed with rice, and a bowl of beef soup.

The warm and peaceful atmosphere inside the RV contrasted sharply with the swirling snow and howling north wind outside.

The three people and the dog were enjoying their meal when they heard the snow leopard bark in the direction where they had released the monkeys, indicating that the monkeys had woken up.

Bai Shuang ignored it and decided to finish her meal first. But before she had even finished eating, a monkey appeared in front of them.

Its whole body is golden yellow, with long fur on its back, like a golden raincoat draped over its shoulders. Its nose is upturned forward, and it has a long tail.

This is the splendor of the golden snub-nosed monkey, a national treasure that is on par with the giant panda.

It cut off its own oxygen supply and was attracted by the smell of food.

It looked at Bai Shuang, the three people, and the dog without seeming particularly afraid, and stretched out its sharp paws to beg for food.

Snow leopard, woof woof woof, don't you dare steal our food!

The monkey trembled in fright, quickly retreated, and dared not extend its claws again.

Bai Shuang handed it a glass of milk to help it maintain its strength.

I don't want to give it any other food right now; I need to bathe and disinfect it first. Since it will be living with people in the future, it needs to be hygienic.

It is closely related to the human species, and if it contracts an infectious disease, it can easily transmit it to humans.

It was very clever. After drinking the milk that Bai Shuang handed it, it returned the cup to her and then hid behind Bai Shuang, watching the vicious wolfhound.

Bai Shuang thought that if the monkeys misbehaved in the future, she would let the snow leopard take care of them.

Bai Jiu chuckled and said, "Monkey, come here, here's some food for you."

The monkey didn't go over either, and kept watching him warily.

Bai Shuang: "What should we name it?"

The white-haired monkey had long, golden fur all over its body. "Let's just call it Golden Fur."

Bai Jiu: "That doesn't sound good. In my opinion, we should call him Sun Wukong."

Bai Shuang thought of the monkey in "Journey to the West" who could fly to the heavens and dive into the earth, "Why don't we call him the Monkey King?"

"This sounds nice."

"The Monkey King song is nice."

From then on, this golden monkey was called the Monkey King.

The monkey stared blankly at the humans pointing at it, not understanding what they were talking about.

After the meal, Bai Shuang took the Monkey King to take a thorough bath and disinfect him.

At first, it would hide from the showerhead and bare its teeth at her, thinking that Bai Shuang was going to harm it. Seeing this, Bai Shuang handed it a biscuit and then reached out to stroke its head.

Sensing the kindness that Bai Shuang was showing it, the monkey finally cooperated, and when it felt the hot water spraying from the showerhead, it comfortably closed its eyes and let her do as she pleased.

Then, Bai Shuang gave it a banana, the monkey's favorite, and also a small steamed bun.

If it goes hungry for a long time, you can't give it food that's hard to digest, nor can you feed it too much, as its stomach and intestines can't handle it.

When I have time, I'll take it to the space and teach it properly. I can't let it pick or pluck things randomly there.

As for the small animals in the space, don't worry. The animals in the space are all very powerful, and even the Monkey King, with his intelligence, wouldn't dare to provoke them.

Then the three of them played with the monkey for a while with the snow leopard before resting. Since the snow leopard's den was next to Bai Shuang's bed, the monkey was afraid of the snow leopard and dared not go over.

Bai Jiu made a nest for the Monkey King with a cushion next to his bed.

The group slept soundly through the night. The next morning, looking out the window, Bai Jiu exclaimed, "Why is the snow still falling so heavily?"

Both Bai and Jiu understood that it was fortunate that the young lady was well-equipped; otherwise, it would have been extremely difficult for an ordinary person to travel like this.

Everyone went out to practice as usual. Since the Monkey King didn't have a temperature-regulating garment, Bai Shuang took one of her own and put it on him.

They stepped out of the RV, and after a few short stretches, they discovered that the Monkey King Dynasty was heading in one direction.

Bai Jiu: "Monkey, where are you going?"

The monkey stopped and turned around, as if beckoning them to follow.

The snow leopard gave chase first.

Bai Shuang: "It means no harm. Let's try following it and see."

Since I'm bored on the road anyway, I might as well see what it means.

The three people and the dog followed the monkey up the slope. The monkey and the snow leopard were both very agile, but fortunately, the three of them were also quite skilled. Although they stumbled along, it wasn't too strenuous for them to keep up.

Upon reaching the top of a slope, before the three could even see clearly what was happening, they saw the Monkey King pick a white fruit from the snow and hand it to Bai Shuang.

The fruit is white, about the size of an egg, and almost the same color as snow. No wonder I didn't notice it earlier. I wonder if the fruit is poisonous.
