The ship sailed to the hillside villa area in the northern part of Tang City. Bai Shuang always wanted to visit the place where she grew up, even though it had become ruins.
The terrain here is of medium elevation. Half of the house is already above the water, but the hillside behind the house is also visible.
Bai Shuang and Bai Jiu often climbed up this hillside to play when they were little, so they are very familiar with this place.
Since we're already here, let's go up and take a look. Once the boat reaches the slope and there's no one around, we'll put it into our space.
The three people and the dog walked up the slope, when they heard someone talking on the hillside.
There seemed to be quite a few people, so the three of them immediately became alert, lined up in a row, and each took a submachine gun as they went upstairs.
Only when we reached the top of the slope could we see in the distance a group of soldiers, each holding a tool, as if they were farming.
The three of them relaxed.
Bai Shuang originally thought they would plant potatoes in flowerpots, but to her surprise, they planted crops on the hillside.
This hillside is currently the only piece of land around Tang City that is above water. This is a good idea; they have many people and great strength, and they have already planted a large area.
This place is very remote; I don't know how they found it.
It seems they've put in a lot of effort; the land flooded is very fertile. If this land is cultivated well, it could yield a good harvest.
"Fairy sister, what brings you here?"
It's that goofy soldier.
Bai Xue had gone to the military camp for medical treatment a while ago, and everyone was very grateful. When they saw her coming, they all saluted her.
Bai Shuang wanted to tease him, "I also want to farm here."
The goofy soldier said, "You don't need to farm. We'll plant more crops and send you some later. I guarantee you won't starve."
Bai Shuang smiled and said, "Just so I won't starve? Then I'll still plant some."
Soldier: "No, no, no, I guarantee I'll feed you."
Bai Shuang thought to herself, "Am I a pig? Do I need you to feed me?"
A soldier nearby scolded, "Can't you speak properly?"
He said apologetically to Bai Shuang, "Dr. Bai, he can't speak properly, please forgive him."
Bai Shuang said it was nothing, just a joke.
The hillside area is quite large, and Bai Shuang also provided some mugwort seeds, as well as other commonly used medicinal herbs with relatively short production dates.
He said to the leading officer, "Don't waste the land, plant it all, and I'll help you process it later."
They saluted in unison to express their gratitude.
After the seeds are planted, someone needs to be left to guard them, otherwise the potato seeds will be dug up.
The land submerged by the flood is fertile, and a bumper harvest is expected. Unfortunately, the rest of the land is still submerged.
