Chapter 95 Miss Ling (2)

As Uncle Liang and the others were chatting, they saw Bai Shuang arrive riding the same imposing "military dog" they had seen that morning.

Turning to Lu Yu, she asked, "Why...why is this girl riding a military dog?"

"The snow leopard isn't a military dog; it's someone's pet dog."

Miss Ling glared at the snow leopard with hatred. That wretched dog was even being aggressive towards her today! But she quickly concealed her emotions.

Bai Shuang also glanced at Miss Ling, who had already finished her makeup and was sitting elegantly by the coffee table.

At this moment, the guards told Lu Yu that the food was ready and everyone should take their seats.

Bai Shuang first took out the snow leopard's food bowl, put out dog food, and, since there were outsiders present, tried to keep a low profile and didn't put out any meat, only a small bowl of goat milk.

Even Liang Shu and the others would be astonished to see this. These days, dogs not only have dog food to eat, but also milk to drink? No wonder they grow up to be so tall and mighty.

After putting out the dog food, Bai Shuang walked to the dining table. At this moment, Miss Ling, who was leisurely strolling, quickly walked over and sat down next to Lu Yu.

"This is not your place."

Miss Ling felt a pang of grievance, and tears streamed down her face, but she remained seated.

Uncle Liang couldn't stand it anymore. "Ayu, it's just a meal, don't make a fuss."

\"no."

Lu Yu remained unmoved, so Uncle Liang turned his attention to Bai Shuang, saying, "Young lady, please sit somewhere else. It's just a meal."

Bai Shuang pretended not to hear and continued to wait beside him. Usually, it was just her and Lu Yu at meals, and that seat was hers. She wouldn't easily give away her things to others.

Miss Ling wept bitterly, but still did not get up.

Lu Yu stood up abruptly, left his seat, and pulled Bai Shuang to sit at the small dining table next to him. The orderly quickly prepared bowls and chopsticks, and then served a set of food on the small dining table.

And so, a perfectly good welcome dinner was ruined by Miss Ling. The two tables of people ate separately, and as Lu Yu left, Miss Ling ran back to her dormitory crying.

Uncle Liang quietly instructed the orderly to deliver food to Miss Ling's dormitory.

He brought her here, and no matter what the outcome of the young couple's love story might be, he had to bring her back safe and sound.

Sigh! If I had known it would turn out like this, I wouldn't have brought her along.

Bai Shuang was fairly satisfied with how Lu Yu handled the matter.

He had been pursuing her. Although Bai Shuang hadn't agreed yet, she also had feelings for Lu Yu. However, she was still observing him to see if he was suitable for her. Otherwise, Bai Shuang wouldn't have been working at the military factory making mulberry paper.

Miss Ling was crying and running the whole way, and the taxi drivers nearby didn't seem to care. What a jerk! So pretentious. She was arguing with the sentries this morning. Who in the military puts a good show for you?

Dr. Bai is never like that. He has both martial prowess and medical skills. He never argues with the soldiers and only brings happiness and peace to the military camp.

Miss Ling felt even more aggrieved when she returned to her dormitory, and burst into tears as soon as she got back.

She was a rich young lady, beautiful as a flower, and her father was a highly sought-after figure in the base. In the Kyoto base, she had countless suitors who fawned over her. If she was even slightly unhappy, someone would come to coax her. She had never suffered such humiliation before.

But it was impossible for her to give up Lu Yu; he was her idol, and she had told herself since she was a child that she would marry Lu Yu when she grew up.

At dinner, it was Bai Shuang, Lu Yu, and Uncle Liang who ate; Miss Ling was not seen.

"Miss, is your surname Bai?"

Bai Shuang and Lu Yu exchanged a glance. Uncle Liang thought to himself, what is there that can't be said about this surname?

Bai Shuang nodded.

Bai Shuang didn't want to reveal her personal information because her industry rival, the Kang family, was currently based in Kyoto. But then she thought, she couldn't hide it anyway, since all the soldiers in the military camp called her Doctor Bai. So she decided to let things take their course.

"Who is Doctor Bai?"

"My maternal grandfather."

Uncle Liang's eyes lit up. "The commander often talks about Doctor Bai."

...

Two days later, at dinner time, Miss Ling finally appeared at the dinner table.

However, he didn't move closer to Lu Yu again, but instead sat down next to Uncle Liang.

She saw Bai Shuang and Lu Yu, "I'm sorry, I was new here a couple of days ago and was a bit naive. Please forgive me."

He then stood up and bowed to the two men respectively.

Bai Shuang: "No need to apologize. Just don't take other people's things from me again, Miss Ling."

Miss Ling seemed quite close to Uncle Liang today. During the meal, she kept adding food to his bowl, saying, "Uncle Liang, this is delicious, please try some."

Is this an attempt to recruit Uncle Rao Liang as an accomplice?

After dinner, Uncle Liang specifically sought out Bai Shuang.

"I've already talked to Qingyao (Miss Ling), and she promised me that she would restrain her temper and not be willful anymore."

Speaking of which, they're all on the same side. Qingyao's father is a good friend of the leader. He's a world-class architect who had just returned from abroad before the disaster. He personally designed the Kyoto base and is currently leading a team to build it.

That child is just a bit spoiled, but she doesn't mean any harm. Please forgive her if she does anything wrong in the future.

"Uncle Liang, I want to give you face, but my principle is that I will not offend others unless they offend me. If someone raises a knife against me, I will not hesitate to do so, even if their father is the King of Heaven."

So, if you want her to be safe and sound, you'd better keep a close eye on her.

In the days that followed, Miss Ling behaved herself and did not cause any more trouble. Sometimes she even shared her snacks with the soldiers, but no one accepted them.

It's already the end of April.
