Chapter 138 Amusement Park

Chapter 138 Amusement Park

After descending from the snow-capped mountain and resting for one night, they went to the tropical botanical garden the next day.

Upon entering the park, Yuanyuan was dazzled by the variety of tropical plants.

It gave her the feeling of returning to the beast world.

The white cat, the wolf cub, the snake cub, and the fish cub reacted the most.

"Awoo? Yuanyuan, are we going back?"

"No, this is a tropical botanical garden, you can't wander around."

Yuanyuan simply hugged the most mischievous little wolf in her arms, while Xiaobai was hugged by Xia Zhiyun.

Gu Zheng led Yu Na by the hand and walked behind. The little snake wanted to get down and move around, but Yuan Yuan pressed it down.

It must be admitted that the animal forms of the little wolf and the little white snake are the least accepted by people.

In addition, its bright green color makes it appear extremely toxic, which would frighten 90% of people.

To avoid causing unnecessary panic, the little snake has been either wrapped around her wrist or in her pocket these past few days.

"Hiss hiss hiss!"

"Be good, listen to me." Yuanyuan patted his little head to comfort him. "I'll take you to play when we get back."

The little snake listlessly shrunk back into the pocket.

...

"Mom, that leaf is so big! It's bigger than my little table!"

“That’s a Victoria water lily,” Gu Zheng said, pointing to the large leaves on the water’s surface. “I heard that small children can sit on it.”

Yuanyuan's eyes lit up. "Can I sit here? I want to try!"

“No, that won’t do,” a staff member said as they walked over. “The child is too heavy; he’ll damage the leaves.”

Yuanyuan was a little disappointed.

"It's okay, we can take a picture. Mom will take one for you."

"good."

There weren't many people in the botanical garden today; there were only a few groups of parents bringing their children to experience it.

Gu Zheng and Xia Zhiyun walked behind, watching Yuanyuan interact with the little ones.

By the afternoon, Yuanyuan was hungry and tugged at Xia Zhiyun's sleeve, "Mommy, I want to eat something. What's good to eat here?"

She's been eating a lot of things she's never tried before these past few days, and she's starting to crave them.

"There's a Dai cuisine restaurant up ahead,"

Looking at the map, Gu Zheng said, "Let's go eat pineapple rice and Dai-style barbecue."

"Okay, okay!"

Upon hearing the name "pineapple rice," Yuanyuan nodded eagerly.

"Mom, there are lots of delicious things here. Can we just come here often?"

Xia Zhiyun bent down and pinched her little nose. "Okay, let's come to Yuncheng for a while after the New Year."

It's not cold there during the Lunar New Year. I heard the weather here is like spring all year round, but I don't know if that's true.

“The air here is fresh and there’s no pollution,” Gu Zheng agreed. “We can come here often in the future.”

The Dai-style barbecue was indeed delicious. Yuanyuan ate two skewers of grilled chicken wings in one go and wanted more.

The pineapple rice was delicious, as was the cold chicken feet salad.

Yuanyuan ate until her belly was round and full.

...

Over the next few days, they went to many more places.

At each scenic spot, I would take photos to commemorate the occasion.

Yu Na has become much more cheerful and can play with the three little ones.

Little Wolf and Little White would bicker from time to time, but they would quickly make up.

"I'm so tired after shopping for so many days, I really want to sleep."

The little wolf lay down beside him, its tail swaying weakly. "I'm tired too."

"..."

Gu Zheng and Xia Zhiyun exchanged a glance and nodded.

"Go to sleep, we'll go back tomorrow."

After the little ones fell asleep, the two began packing their luggage.

The next morning, Yuanyuan sat in the car, feeling a little reluctant to leave.

"Dad, I haven't had enough fun yet. Can I play for a few more days?"

"Let's come again later," Gu Zheng ruffled her hair. "How about we come again during the long Chinese New Year holiday?"

"Okay!" Yuanyuan nodded, then turned to Xiaobai and Xiaolang, "Would you like to come again next time?"

Xiao Bai remained silent; he wanted to go back to his tribe.

The little wolf wagged its tail and came closer, saying, "If you come, I'll come too."

The little snake was withdrawn and didn't want to talk. He had never played outside of the hotel, so it didn't matter whether he came or not.

"Then it's settled. We'll come together."

Xia Zhiyun patted her head and said, "Okay, let's come again next time and visit all the places we didn't get to see."

...

Back in Beijing, they spent a day at the Gu family home and then took Yuanyuan shopping.

They also went to an amusement park; it was Yuanyuan's first time going to an amusement park with her parents.

She was very excited. In the past, her bad father never took her, only Gu Youran.

She can't remember anything before she was three years old, and the person who hit her was someone she had never been with.

...

The car stopped at the entrance of the amusement park, and Yuanyuan peered out the window. "Wow! Mom, look! That horse can go around in circles!"

She was referring to the carousel in the distance, where colorful horses rose and fell to the music, adorned with sparkling strings of lights.

Xia Zhiyun's nose tingled with emotion. "Mom will do whatever you want today."

"Okay, okay!"

Gu Zheng unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car, reaching out to lift her out and picking up the small backpack that was placed to the side.

I didn't bring the three little ones today, only the fish.

"Listen to your mother, we'll play one by one, and play all the games you want to play today."

"Uh-huh!"

Once inside the amusement park, Yuanyuan grabbed her parents' hands and ran towards the carousel.

"I want to ride that white horse."

She pointed to the white horse with a pink saddle at the front, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Gu Zheng bought her a ticket, and Xia Zhiyun accompanied her in line. "Hold on tight to the handrails once you get on, and don't move around. Your parents are watching you from below."

Since the adult couldn't accompany her, Xia Zhiyun couldn't do anything about it.

Yuanyuan nodded vigorously, and soon it was her turn to get on. She excitedly climbed onto the horse's back, grabbed the handrail in front of her with her little hands, and smiled so broadly that her eyes disappeared.

As soon as the music started, the carousel began to turn, and Yuanyuan rose and fell with the horse, unable to resist opening her arms and shouting.

Gu Zheng held up his phone to take pictures of her, a smile constantly on his lips.

Xia Zhiyun stood beside her, her eyes filled with tenderness as she watched her daughter's happy expression.

After riding the carousel, Yuanyuan was attracted by the bumper cars next to her and tugged at Gu Zheng's hand.

“Daddy, I want to play that,” she pointed, “the one where the cars bump into each other.”

Gu Zheng glanced at the height restrictions for the bumper cars and nodded, "Okay, Dad will play with you."

Xia Zhiyun stood outside with his things, watching. He carried Yuanyuan into a blue bumper car, fastened her seatbelt, and taught her how to press the accelerator and turn the steering wheel.

"The left is the turn, and if you step all the way down, you'll be moving forward..."

Yuanyuan learned very quickly. At first, she was very cautious, but when she encountered the first toy car, she screamed "Ah!" in fright.

After trying it a few times, he gradually became bolder and started to deliberately crash into cars.

After playing in the bumper cars, Yuanyuan ran out covered in sweat, and Xia Zhiyun handed her a water bottle.

Yuanyuan took the water cup and took a big gulp. "Mom, this is so much fun! I want to play with Dad again next time."

"good."

Gu Zheng told them to sit and wait while he went to buy cotton candy.

"Yuanyuan, is there anything else you'd like to play?"

"Mom, can I ride the Ferris wheel? I've never ridden one before."

"Of course, but the Ferris wheel looks better after dark. We can play something else first."
