Chapter 41 Awakening
"Don't believe that bad father's words. I'm right here with you. Please wake up and come see me."
I will never leave you again.
Xia Zhiyun's eyelids twitched, and her lips seemed to move slightly, but she didn't make a sound.
The subtle movement was noticed by Yuanyuan, who was observing her closely.
She turned around in surprise and shouted, "Doctor! Mom moved! Is she awake?"
The doctor stared at the monitor screen. "That's right, she's slowly regaining consciousness."
"Little friend, keep talking, don't stop."
Yuanyuan wiped away her tears with her little hand, "I knew Mom loved me the most."
"Mommy, wake up quickly! I haven't told you about the Beast World yet. The uncles and aunties there gave me lots of sweet wild fruits. When you wake up, let's eat them together, okay?"
The little hand grasped the hand that hadn't received the injection, and Mom's fingers twitched again, this time with a slightly larger movement than before.

Tears slowly slid down her cheeks and into the pillow as her mother's voice was weak, "Yuanyuan?"
His eyes held a complex mix of emotions: shock, surprise, sadness, and despair.
Her Yuanbao is really dead…
"Mom, what's wrong?"
"It's me, Yuanyuan!"
"Yuanyuan, does it hurt?" She tried to raise her hand to touch it, but her body was too weak.
Yuanyuan shook her head vigorously, rubbing her little face against her mother's hand. "Mommy, I'm fine. That bad daddy lied to you. I'm still alive and well!"
"Baby, you, you're really still alive?"
"Of course, feel it if you don't believe me." Yuanyuan raised her hand and put it on her face. "Mom, Yuanyuan is fine, and Mom is fine too."
Xia Zhiyun opened her mouth, but in the end, she didn't say anything; tears just kept flowing.
Gu Zheng was sleeping on the cot outside when he heard the noise. He got up, went to the door, and saw the mother and daughter talking, so he didn't disturb them.
Turn around and go find the doctor.
The doctor arrived quickly, shone a flashlight into the mother's eyes, and then checked the medical equipment.
"I am fully conscious, and I have recovered much better than I expected."
Xia Zhiyun ignored the doctor and Uncle Gu, her gaze fixed on Yuanyuan.
Xia Zhiyun used all her strength to raise her other hand and gently touched Yuanyuan's head. "It's because Mommy is... incompetent that my baby has suffered."
"No...Yuanyuan isn't wronged!"
Yuanyuan shook her head, held her mother's hand, and buried her face in her palm.
"It's good that Mom is awake. We'll never be with that bad dad again. Yuanyuan will protect you..."
The doctor and Gu Zheng were both somewhat moved. After checking and finding no problems, they left.
Xia Zhiyun's hands were still trembling. Yuanyuan buried her little face in her hands, her tears blurring her palms.

Xia Zhiyun listened quietly without interrupting.
As Yuanyuan was talking, she fell asleep.

She even brought the little wolf and the little snake back to show her.
The two little ones were very resistant to others getting close, but they were very friendly to Xia Zhiyun.
Even the intimacy made Yuanyuan very happy.

The next morning, while they were having breakfast, the door to the ward was pushed open from the outside, and a group of elderly men in formal attire with gray hair entered the ward in a grand procession.
