Chapter 145 The Mermaid Baby Discovers Ginseng

"Okay, okay!"

Upon hearing that they were going out to play, Baili Wanwan immediately clapped her hands happily.

She's always been a lively person, and she's been feeling a bit stifled staying in the village these past few days.

But before they could ask where they were going, another voice came from the corner: "Where are you going?"

Wan Yuechi happened to be passing by and overheard most of their conversation.

I didn't want to bother them, but the thought of my older brother taking Wanwan out alone made me a little worried.

With Wan Yuekui's carefree and absent-minded personality, he might lose Wanwan without even realizing it.

"How could you..."

When Wan Yuekui saw him, he immediately shrank back, feeling a little guilty.

His secret was that he wanted to take Baili Wanwan out to play by himself so that the cute little girl would like him more. Who would have thought that he would be caught before they even left the house?

But Baili Wanwan had no idea about the complicated thoughts in the minds of these two people.

Seeing Wan Yuechi approaching, he couldn't help but smile and wave, "Don't know where to go for fun! Second brother, want to come along?"

"That's natural."

Wan Yuechi ignored Wan Yuekui's expression of refusal and readily agreed.

Subsequently, what was originally a duo became a trio.

The place we visited was also decided to be in the back mountain.

Without keeping Wanwan waiting any longer, Wan Yuekui asked Zhang Xiu for some fruits and snacks that same day, and Wan Yuechi asked Wan Suizhou for leave. Once the three of them were ready, they headed towards the back mountain.

The mountains are different in every season, and it always feels fresh no matter how many times you come.

Baili Wanwan looked left and right, clapping his hands at the rabbit one moment and smiling sweetly at the squirrel that was passing by the next.

Her adorable and innocent appearance melted the hearts of her two older brothers.

"Wanwan, would you like a little rabbit?"

Wan Yuekui suddenly asked this question.

Following his gaze, not far away, under the roots of a tree, there was a snow-white little rabbit that looked so adorable that it made people want to love it.

What little girl could resist such a furry little creature?

The winding road is no exception.

He immediately nodded like a chick pecking at rice, his eyes filled with admiration as he looked at Wan Yuekui.

Wan Yuekui was naturally very pleased with this, and glanced at Wan Yuechi with a smug look, then put his hands on his hips and said smugly, "You wait, your big brother will go and catch it for you right away!"

Before he could finish speaking, he had already rushed out.

He was tall and strong, and none of the villagers his age could beat him. He thought catching a rabbit would be a piece of cake, but to his surprise, the rabbit seemed to have eyes in the back of its head and ran off in the opposite direction!

"Hey, little bunny!"

As soon as she saw the rabbit about to run away, Baili Wanwan became anxious. She let go of Wan Yuechi's hand and ran away as fast as she could with her short legs.

In the blink of an eye, he had overtaken Wan Yuekui and ran towards the little rabbit.

With a thud, she pounced on the ground, her hand just managing to grab the little bunny's two tiny ears!

"Wanwan, are you alright?!"

Wan Yuechi was startled and quickly ran over to pull her away.

However, Baili Wanwan didn't cry or make a fuss after falling down. Instead, she stood up on her own, grabbed the rabbit's ears, and smiled at her two older brothers: "Wanwan caught the little bunny!"

She was covered in mud, her face filthy, looking like a little kitten. Yet, she had a radiant smile that made everyone's mood instantly brighten.

Wan Yuechi shook his head helplessly, and when he passed by Wan Yuekui, he kindly patted his brother on the shoulder.

"Wanwan has always been amazing, so you... don't need to be so disappointed."

Despite saying that, Wan Yuekui was still stunned by how badly he was outmatched by the Taiwanese in catching rabbits, leaving him momentarily bewildered.

He took a few deep breaths to recover, but even so, his expression was still a little stiff when he walked up to Baili Wanwan.

"Wanwan, put the rabbit in the cage. When we get home, I'll make a small fence for you so you can keep the rabbit there."

Wan Yuechi glanced at the rabbit Baili Wanwan was carrying; it was so cute that he couldn't help but say something.

However, no sooner had she finished speaking than Baili Wanwan's questioning voice came: "Why do you want to raise it?"

Her question was so serious that it surprised Wan Yuechi.

"Could it be that Wanwan wants to release the rabbits back into the mountains?"

After he finished speaking, he felt that perhaps it was true, and he immediately realized that although Baili Wanwan was young, she was kind-hearted.

It's truly admirable to know that you can't possess something lovely.

However, Baili Wanwan's next sentence completely overturned all his guesses.

Baili Wanwan picked up the rabbit by its ears, looked at it, and slurped, "I... want to eat spicy rabbit head."

Wan Yuechi: ?

Is that what he meant?

Why did Baili Wanwan catch rabbits not because he thought they were cute, but because he thought they would taste good?

"Haha, Wanwan, how come you always say things that surprise everyone!"

Wan Yuekui couldn't help but burst into laughter, walked over and took the rabbit, saying, "Okay, I'll start a fire later, and we'll have roasted rabbit for lunch!"

"I want to eat spicy rabbit head."

Baili Wanwan bit her lower lip, her eyes filled with a rare determination.

"Then take the rabbit head back, and you cook it."

Only after hearing Wan Yuekui's words did Baili Wanwan cheer up. She had been thinking about rabbit meat the whole way, and had lost all interest in the mountain produce around her.

Until a faint green aura was seen in the distance, drifting among the mountains.

Baili Wanwan became interested and quickened her pace to investigate. However, she had only taken two steps when Wan Yuechi grabbed her back: "Wanwan, be careful, there's a cliff ahead."

The two brothers often came to this mountain to collect firewood, so they were very familiar with the terrain.

After hearing this, Baili Wanwan became even more curious and pleaded, "Wanwan knows, but Wanwan wants to go and see..."

She looked up, gazing at Wan Yuechi with expectant eyes, her pleading voice soft and sweet, melting anyone's heart.

Her two older brothers already doted on her, so they couldn't resist her sweet talk.

He nodded somewhat without any principles.

However, in that instant, Baili Wanwan immediately turned into a smiling face and took off running towards the cliff.

The mist on the mountain was ethereal; I hadn't noticed it before, but it became very thick in front of the cliff.

As Baili Wanwan drew closer, her figure was gradually swallowed up by the mist.

"Wanwan, watch out!"

Wan Yuechi's worried voice seemed to be muffled by something, making it difficult to hear clearly. Baili Wanwan didn't stop, following the spiritual energy to the edge of the cliff.

He lay on the ground and looked down.

I just spotted something great!

Just as I reached out to pick it, another hand reached out at the same time.

The touch of their hands felt like an electric current. Baili Wanwan turned around in a daze, and a handsome face suddenly entered her field of vision.
