Baili Wanwan nodded as if she understood, and then followed Wan Suizhou on their way.

It wasn't until the two arrived in the city that they realized things weren't as simple as Wan Suizhou had imagined.

The Lin family had lived in the capital before, so they had naturally heard about what Wan Suizhou was talking about.

So he listened quietly as Wan Suizhou continued.

Wan Suizhou and Old Madam Lin talked at the mansion for about half an hour. Afterwards, the Lin family sent a small sedan chair.

From then on, they secretly sent Wan Suizhou to Magistrate Cao's residence...
