The whale appeared again, and to the group of people, it looked terrifying. They no longer cared about making Zhang Xiu pay them back, and scattered like birds and beasts.
Baili Wanwan finally breathed a sigh of relief, watched the whale leave, and managed a smile on her little face before she also prepared to leave.
The azure sea shimmered, and just as the little girl was about to leave, she noticed that her mermaid pearl was glowing.
Stopping her movements, Baili Wanwan took out the mermaid pearl from her bosom. Sure enough, there were floating lights on it, as if it were guiding her in some way.
Blinking her big eyes, Baili Wanwan stretched out her little hand and touched the light and shadow on the mermaid pearl.
She raised her little face and said to Zhang Xiu beside her, "Auntie, Wanwan wants to play outside a little longer. Wanwan hasn't mastered the amazing martial arts that the big brother taught me yet!"
Looking at Baili Wanwan's serious face, Zhang Xiu couldn't help but pat her little head: "Okay, remember to come back soon."
Baili Wanwan nodded her little head vigorously!
Watching Aunt Zhang Xiu walk away, Wanwan took out the mermaid pearl again.
Following her instincts and the guidance of light and shadow, Baili Wanwan flicked her finger, and the seawater moved with her fingertip.
Soon, the light and shadow surrounding the mermaid pearl moved toward the place where the fish and shrimp gathered.
"Um……"
Baili Wanwan exerted a little force, and her little hand swung out.
A huge wave surged up and rushed straight towards where those people were.
Almost instantly, the waves swept those people up and swallowed them into the sea.
"What's going on—"
"Help! Help!"
Several people fell into the water, desperately calling for help as they sank and floated. They were all in a sorry state, a far cry from the imposing manner they had displayed when speaking to Zhang Xiu earlier.
Baili Wanwan gave a soft hum.
Since that's the case, she intends to teach them a lesson!
He controlled the power of the seawater in his hands, ensuring that he would stop when he was about to strike, so that the waves would not harm anyone's lives. Then he looked in the other direction where Zhang Xiu had left.
She nimbly emerged from the sea, a few water droplets clinging to her long, curved eyelashes. She quickly put away the mermaid pearl and went ashore.
After landing, Baili Wanwan saw that Zhang Xiu had just walked a short distance away, not far away.
"Wait, wait, Wanwan is here!" Baili Wanwan ran forward and tugged at Zhang Xiu's sleeve. "Wanwan wants to go home again. Wanwan is a little hungry."
As she spoke, Baili Wanwan touched her little belly.
Her stomach cooperated, rumbling loudly.
The two of them frolicked in the sea, getting completely soaked. Zhang Xiu couldn't help but laugh at Baili Wanwan's antics. "Then let's hurry up, little girl, and go back to eat something delicious."
Upon hearing this, Baili Wanwan skipped and hopped along beside her, a few strands of her hair still adorned with water droplets that dripped down with her movements.
"You, all you think about is food all day long." Zhang Xiu wiped the water droplets off her face and pinched Baili Wanwan's little face.
As they were walking home, a shout came from behind. The two of them turned around and saw He Yong running towards them from afar.
"What happened to you two? You look completely soaked." He Yong looked at the two women, who were dripping wet from their trouser legs.
“We just went to the beach—” Zhang Xiu hadn’t finished speaking when she noticed He Yong’s anxiety. “Is something urgent? Have some people come to the restaurant to cause trouble again?”
He Yong looked bitter and helpless. "Some people from the restaurant came and are demanding compensation at home. I rushed out to find you two, but I didn't expect to actually run into you."
In a moment of panic, Zhang Xiu grabbed He Yong's hand and tried to run back.
"Wanwan, hurry up and catch up, let's go home!"
Baili Wanwan responded crisply and started running after them, swaying unsteadily.
The place wasn't far away, and they were home in just a few minutes.
Zhang Xiu and He Yong headed straight for the main hall, while Baili Wanwan rubbed her eyes.
She was quick and agile, and ran even faster than Zhang Xiu and He Yong, soon catching up with them.
"Master Wan, you must pay this money today."
A boastful voice rang out, and Baili Wanwan looked up to see a man in brocade robes speaking with an arrogant smile on his face.
He seemed certain that Wan Suizhou was going to give him money, and his hand was already outstretched in mid-air.
Although Wan Suizhou has experienced a lot, it is a fact that his family owes the restaurant 200 catties of fish.
Since he can't catch any fish at sea right now, he can only swallow this bitter pill.
Seeing that the restaurant staff had the upper hand, Wan Suizhou hesitated for a few seconds, seemingly about to pay.
"Wait, you can't give them this money!"
Baili Wanwan interrupted Wan Suizhou's attempt to give her money with her childish voice, "You can't just give me money so easily, otherwise it will all end up in the pockets of bad people."
The crowd in the hall who had come to collect their money were stunned for a few seconds when they saw a child come out. "What are you saying, child?"
The man in brocade robes was displeased with Baili Wanwan's words and couldn't help but scold her, "I didn't expect the Wan family's child to be so ill-mannered, actually interrupting us."
Wan Suizhou was about to lash out at others for speaking ill of Baili Wanwan when she interrupted him, saying, "Even if Wanwan doesn't say it, you're probably aware of the situation. Why are you lecturing Wanwan instead?"
Hearing this remark, the man in brocade robes became even angrier and glared at her, about to respond.
"In my opinion, you should stop talking. Who are you trying to disgust by playing this double-crossing game?" Zhang Xiu caught up and blocked Baili Wanwan's way, throwing out a question.
"What do you mean by 'double-crossing'? How dare you talk like that? I don't understand a word you say." The man in brocade robes looked embarrassed, but he still insisted.
