Yuan Qi looked at Hong Sibao with a half-smile, while Hong Sibao gave a forced smile, showing none of his usual politeness and respect.
Hong Sibao pointed forcefully at the carriage: "Seventh Miss, please—"
Yuan Qi calmly tidied the things on the table and asked casually, "Can't we just not go?"
Hong Sibao forced a cold, hard smile: "Seventh Miss agreed long ago, why all this trouble?"
Yuan Qi's face was cold as he looked up and asked, "You think this is trouble for me? The person who can threaten me hasn't been born yet."
Hong Sibao's face darkened, and he reminded her unhappily, "Seventh Miss, you'd better think twice before you speak. After all, you only have one life."
Yuan Qi chuckled. A mere eunuch dared to threaten her? Fine, she'd like to see who was causing trouble this time. She wasn't going to tolerate it.
Yuan Qi obediently got into the car. Hong Sibao gave him a disdainful look, but Yuan Qi pretended not to see it. After all, he was just a lackey, and it wasn't worth arguing with such a person.
When Yuan Qi arrived at a nearby teahouse, he found it quiet. Even the waiter and manager had been turned away, let alone any customers.
Yuan Qi felt that the person inside was not Crown Prince Xiao Yi, because Xiao Yi wouldn't put on such an air.
Upon entering, one could see that the person elegantly drinking tea inside was indeed a woman. Though past her prime, she still possessed a captivating charm. Her face was heavily made up, her red lips were like flames, and she exuded a powerful aura, not even glancing at Yuan Qi. It was likely a way of giving her a hard time.
Yuan Qi didn't fall for her act and went straight over to sit in the empty seat opposite the woman.
Sure enough, a palace maid spoke up: "How dare she! She doesn't even bow to the Imperial Concubine! Guards, make her kneel down!"
"Shut up." Yuan Qi lightly raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The palace maid then realized that she could no longer speak. She touched her neck in great fear.
Consort Feng glanced at the palace maid without surprise. She gave a signal to the guards not far away, and the guards drew their swords and walked towards Yuan Qi.
The guards had only taken a couple of steps when they found themselves pinned to the spot, unable to move or even speak.
Consort Feng finally showed some reaction: "How dare you! You even dare to touch my people? Who gave you the audacity?"
Yuan Qi poured himself a cup of tea: "I'm here to make a statement to the Imperial Concubine. I will not become a concubine and marry into the Eastern Palace. Forget about it. If you continue to pester me, I will let you know that I am not someone to be trifled with."
Consort Feng angrily slammed her teacup down on the table, hoping to frighten Yuan Qi and scare her.
But Yuan Qi didn't react at all, only giving her a disdainful look.
Consort Feng was enraged. She stood up and swung her hand at the person opposite her.
Yuan Qi didn't move, but suddenly another version of himself rushed out of her body, arrived at the other side at an extremely fast speed, grabbed Consort Feng's hand without ceremony, and slapped Consort Feng across the face.
"No one in this world can force me to do anything, Consort Feng. Today is just to teach you a lesson. If you dare to do it again, I will not be polite."
Consort Feng's face stung with pain. She hadn't even seen how the other person had gotten there. She was utterly shocked. Only then did she realize that Yuan Qi was truly capable. No wonder her son had broken off his engagement with the Jiang family to bring this person to his side.
However, this woman is too arrogant. If she agrees to this marriage, we must teach her a lesson and let her know that she, Consort Feng, is a more noble person than the Empress, and no one can afford to offend her.
Let her taste the consequences of offending Consort Feng.
She said in a low voice, "Yuan Qi, you don't know what's good for you."
Yuan Qi finished her cup of tea and stood up. She didn't care what the other party was thinking; she only wanted to get rid of this trouble as soon as possible. She had no patience for these people and no need to give them a good face: "I'm just being unreasonable. What can you do to me? Your people can't be touched. If I kill you now, they can only watch helplessly. Consort Feng, you are no match for me."
The palace maids and guards around them, unable to move, glared angrily at Yuan Qi, but there was nothing they could do. Consort Feng had been taught a lesson by a mere child today; she would surely vent her anger on them when she returned.
Everyone was both angry and worried.
Consort Feng's eyebrows furrowed and her almond-shaped eyes widened: "You're the first person to dare lay a hand on me. Aren't you afraid the Emperor will exterminate your entire family?"
"Then you will definitely die before me. If you don't mind, I will send the Crown Prince to wait for you on the road to the Yellow Springs, so that you and your son can be reunited and never be reincarnated. If you feel lonely, it is not impossible to have the entire Feng family buried with you for your mistakes."
Yuan Qi turned and walked away. As she passed Hong Sibao, she saw him glaring at her furiously. Yuan Qi gently patted him on the shoulder, and with a "thud," Hong Sibao fell to the ground. No one saw what Yuan Qi did to Hong Sibao.
Hong Sibao's eyes widened as he realized he couldn't move or speak.
Consort Feng trembled with rage as she berated Yuan Qi's retreating figure, "What arrogance! If I don't punish you today, I'll never be able to face anyone again! Guards! Seize her!"
But none of the people she brought with her could move or even speak.
Yuan Qi stood arrogantly with his arms crossed, just three steps away from her: "I'm right here, come on then. Consort Feng, you should know my abilities, so why didn't you bring any Taoist masters to deal with me? How boring, you don't even have a worthy opponent."
Consort Feng trembled with anger. She had never thought of it this way. Who could have imagined that Yuan Qi would be so arrogant and unruly, not even putting the royal family in his eyes?
In her imagination, Yuan Qi would kneel down and kowtow to her, begging her to marry the Crown Prince.
But the reality was completely different from what she thought; the other party didn't care about such a small amount of wealth at all.
Yuan Qi waved his hand: "Goodbye, Consort Feng. The spells on you will wear off in twelve hours, so don't worry."
When she returned to the big locust tree, Xiangli Youming was waiting there.
"Did Consort Feng make things difficult for you?" Xiangli Youming looked at Yuan Qi indifferently. "If the Feng family or the Xiao family dares to bully you, I will teach them a lesson for you."
“It’s just a small matter, why would I need your help?” Yuan Qi sat in front of the stall and laid out all the items he needed to set up the stall.
Xiangli Youming sat down next to Yuan Qi: "I'm willing to stand up for you. I heard that Xiao Yi specifically requested that you marry into the Eastern Palace as a concubine? Should I ask my father to put pressure on the Emperor?"
"I'll ask for your help when I need it. I can manage on my own for now." Yuan Qi didn't think there was anything wrong with that.
Xiangli Youming nodded and looked at Yuan Qi expectantly, saying, "Should I go to your house to propose? Once we're engaged, no one will have designs on you anymore."
He was very nervous, afraid that Yuan Qi would refuse without even thinking.
"I think this is a great idea, why don't you consider it?"
