Chapter 51 The Stunning Little Left, Grass on His Grave

Zuo Jing wouldn't listen to advice: "Brother, I'm doing this all for you. Someone like her, with her ulterior motives and low social standing, might be plotting against you, trying to climb the social ladder!"

Qu Jian'er turned to the side and said, "Hanging a gourd in the house—do you really think you're the master? Your brother hasn't said anything, but you're acting like the master. And you say I'm thinking about your brother? Tell me, shouldn't someone as handsome as your brother be the object of other people's desires?"

Zuo Jing choked: "Me!"

The stunningly beautiful Zuo.

His lips were pursed into a thin line.

He gazed wistfully at Qu Jian'er's rounded back of the head, deciding for the time being not to speak up for this person who was prone to slips of the tongue. Let her wander alone; sooner or later, she'll wander into the sea.

The others present fell into a deep, deathly silence, all agreeing that it was best not to respond.

Zuo Jing looked up and said, "That's just sophistry. A disgraced artist like you is a pollution to my home!"

Qu Jian'er pointed to a plate of vegetables: "Were you a Peashooter in your past life? You just keep talking nonstop. Come on, look at this plate of chrysanthemum greens, isn't it green?"

Zuo Jing was so shocked by the retort that she questioned her existence. Upon hearing this, she subconsciously nodded and said, "Green..."

Qu Jian'er suggested, "How about we use this variety of garland chrysanthemum to make grass for your grave?"

Zuo Jing choked: "You!"

Zuo Chen watched as Zuo Jing became furious.

He placed the large black pillar on the empty chair.

Just as he was about to get up, he told Zuo Jing to behave herself and pointed out Qu Jian'er's identity so that she would offend fewer people.

Seeing that she couldn't find a reason to send Qu Jian'er away, and that she couldn't argue with her, Zuo Jing realized she had no choice but to leave.

See the big black pillar licking its paws on the chair.

Zuo Jingji decided to fight again and spoke before Zuo Chen could, saying once more, "How could you let the cat on the table? Like owner, like pet, it doesn't know any rules!"

Qu Jian'er didn't explain that the cat hadn't even sat on the table. She smiled gently and said, "Really? Well, you're lucky. Today you've finally seen what it means to be unruly."

Zuo Jing wanted to say something more.

Zuo Chen stood up: "Zuo Jing, do you think I'm not here?"

He heard Zuo Chen call his full name.

Zuo Jing shuddered in fright: "No, brother, how could I dare pretend you don't exist..."

Zuo Chen said, "Knowing I was here, you must have seen that I put the cat on the table. If you have any complaints about me, just say so directly. There's no need to bring up others in a roundabout way."

Zuo Jing was almost scared to tears. She never expected that Zuo Chen would be so sarcastic.

She had no idea that Zuo Chen had been influenced by Qu Jian'er by spending too much time with her.

Knowing that Zuo Chen wouldn't keep a cat, she guessed that the cat was brought by Qu Jian'er.

She thought she would turn the tide, but she found that she had stepped on a second brick wall.
