Chapter 358 No one will take the money except her

My sister is very beautiful. Although she grew up in the countryside and was ordered by my grandmother to do a lot of farm work, her skin is still fair.

She is the most beautiful girl in the class and attracts many boys.

There are two other girls in the village who are in the second grade of junior high school like her sister. Because the school is not big and there is only one class, they are all in the same class.

Because of this, everyone knows what's going on with each other.

They told the elders in the family about someone writing love letters to their sister.

Later, somehow, it reached my grandmother's ears.

Grandma started spreading the word in the village, saying that my sister was fickle and just like my mother, she liked to hook up with men.

As for the villagers, what they like to do most is to sit together and discuss some unfounded things.

Gradually, my sister's affairs became known to everyone.

Wherever my sister went, people would point at her and call her shameless.

The cheerful sister began to change. She no longer liked studying or talking, and she only wanted to escape from the village.

As the year draws to a close, my father comes back from out of town to celebrate the New Year.

He learned about his sister from the villagers.

He talked to his eldest daughter.

After learning that his eldest daughter's academic performance had plummeted and that she really didn't want to stay in the village anymore, after the Lunar New Year, he took his sister with him to work outside the village. (He felt that doing so was a form of protection for his sister; staying away was protection!)

Yun Duo watched them pack their bags and burst into tears.

She also wanted to go with her father, but he said no, saying that tuition outside was too expensive and that they didn't accept students on a temporary basis.

(They did, but it required a hefty tuition fee. My father, always a simpleton, simply asked his coworkers and didn't even bother to contact the school.)

He asked Yunduo to study hard at home and strive to leave the countryside.

Yun Duo cried very sadly, but her father did not look back.

Looking at their resolute backs, Yun Duo knew that her father would not take her away.

She stood at the entrance of the village and watched her father and sister disappear from her sight little by little.

After standing there stupidly for a long time, she went home.

As soon as he got home, he was scolded by his grandmother again. She thought that Yunduo had complained to his father, so she asked his father to warn his grandmother to treat Yunduo well before leaving.

Yun Duo didn't say anything at all, because she knew that even if she did, her father wouldn't do anything, and at most he would quarrel with her grandmother.

After the people left, Yun Duo was the one who suffered.

But just because Yun Duo didn’t say anything doesn’t mean the villagers didn’t say anything.

Grandma actually knew this truth, but she didn't care about it. When she was angry, she took it out on the clouds.

This time she didn't dare hit Yun Duo again, but her verbal insults were even more severe.

Yun Duo stood there with her head lowered, letting her scold her.

Half an hour later, grandma was tired of scolding, so she went into the room, took off all her sheets and quilt covers, and threw them on Yun Duo.

He said coldly, "Go wash it clean."

Yun Duo looked at her festering hands, hugged the quilt and carried the bucket of water and walked out.

The bitingly cold water and frozen hands are a physical and mental torture every time I immerse myself in it.

The winter at that time was extremely cold, but Yun Duo endured it and quickly washed the super-large quilt.

The frostbite on my hands, which had just been dried and had already formed scars, was torn open again.

She breathed on it, trying to warm it up.

Grandma saw this and snorted coldly: "Sprouted!"

Go to the kitchen and clean out all the water in the water tank.

He said to the shivering cloud, "Go and fill these two water jars with water."

Yun Duo paused. She didn't want to go. She was too cold. Her socks were all wet and her hands were very painful.

Every time I pulled the rope, the scar on the back of my hand would tear a little bit, and this happened over and over again, leaving no time for it to heal completely.

"Hurry up and go!"

Grandma kicked Yun Duo.

Yun Duo sniffed, picked up the bucket and walked out again.

Every time she lifted a bucket of water from the well, she was doing harm.

She gritted her teeth, endured the pain, and finally filled the water bottle. It was time for lunch.

Maybe it's because I've done too much work, or maybe it's time to grow.

Yun Duo ate two steamed buns and drank a bowl of porridge.

Grandma was counting, and when Yun Duo was about to pick up the third steamed bun, she got angry.

"Are you starving? What's the point of eating so much? It's just a waste of food!"

Yun Duo just stretched out her hand, but pulled it back before she could get the steamed bun.

At night, Yun Duo wanted to read a little longer, but her grandmother came over and stopped her, saying, "Electricity is free. What's the money your father gave you?"

With the sound of a switch clicking, the bedroom became dim.

Yun Duo had no choice but to put away her book and go to bed.

She thought that the money her father gave was actually enough, but grandma, you used the money given by your father to raise Xiaoqin, so it was definitely not enough.

Grandma would go to the street to buy delicious fruits and beautiful clothes.

But there was no place for clouds.

Yun Duo envied Xiao Qin very much.

Later one day, grandma lost three dollars. She thought Yunduo had stolen it, so she scolded Yunduo and asked her to hand over the money.

Yun Duo didn’t take anything at all, so where did he hand it over from?

Her father didn't give her any money either, so she could only say over and over again that she didn't take it.

Later, grandma started shouting outside, trying to ruin Yun Duo's reputation.

She really hated Yun Duo. The villagers always helped her granddaughter to accuse her of wrongdoing. Now that she finally got the chance, how could she let it go?

It was not the busy farming season, so the villagers were relatively free. When they heard the noise, they quickly gathered around.
