Shen Bingtao woke up early in the morning and saw Chen Xi holding a small rabbit in his arms. The rabbit was snow-white and very cute.
He couldn't help but go forward and want to touch its fur, but before his hand touched it, the rabbit glared at him with disgust.
"Oh, this little animal knows how to stare at people?" He looked at Chen Xi excitedly and said in surprise.
As he said this, his hand was about to reach up and touch her again.
"If you dare touch me again, I'll lose my temper!"
Jiaojiao turned over in Chenxi's arms, his fur standing up, and looked at Shen Bingtao fiercely, full of warning.
These days, anyone dares to act in front of him.
He is the descendant of the previous guardian beast of the Temple of Destiny, and not just anyone can touch him.
"Damn, it...it...spoke?" Shen Bingtao was shocked.
Why could an animal speak human language? He believed that there were ghosts in the world, but he didn't expect that there were monsters in this world!
It really is true that the world is so big that nothing is impossible!
Chen Xi rubbed Jiao Jiao's head with a headache and introduced him, "This is my pet, Jiao Rabbit. You can call him Jiao Jiao from now on."
Chen Xi had no intention of hiding the fact that Jiaojiao had transformed into a human form, so he just told it out loud.
Jiaojiao didn't shy away, but raised her chin proudly and looked at everyone.
Amidst everyone's shocked expressions, he transformed into a young boy.
He smoothed his overlong black hair and smiled sweetly: "Hello everyone, we will be partners from now on."
There was silence for a moment, eyes shining.
What a cute boy!
Because Jiaojiao was talkative, he quickly joined everyone in playing, and several people were chattering over there.
Most of the time, it was just the top braggarts who were bragging, and they were listening carefully.
Chen Xi smiled helplessly and went into the kitchen.
The kitchen was crowded with chefs cooking, most of whom were called by Ouyang Rucheng, and some were arranged by Chen Xi's former clients.
In order to ensure that there were no mistakes during this year's New Year's Eve dinner, Mrs. Ouyang personally took charge of the process.
Most of the cooked food was already placed on the large round table in the middle.
Chen Xi had nothing to do at the moment, so he followed along and learned a few things, such as how to cook king crabs and make fish soup.
After learning how to do it, Chen Xi made a dish of it by herself. As soon as she served it, she received praise from the chef.
He said that Chenxi was the one who understood the fastest among all the disciples he had ever taught.
Mrs. Ouyang was all smiles, and she exchanged a few polite words with him with a sense of pride. She held Chen Xi's hand, and couldn't help but feel satisfied.
With the help of more than a dozen chefs, the New Year’s Eve dinner was finally officially served on the table.
Just when everyone was preparing to celebrate, Shen Bingtao's parents rushed over, exhausted.
Shen Bingtao stepped forward and gave a brief introduction to his parents.
Zhang Xia and his wife arrived too late because they had something else to do, so they were unable to help much and drank their glasses in one gulp.
With their start, the whole place lost control, everyone was drinking and soon a lot of people were drunk.
After dinner, Jiaojiao was dragged along by everyone to set off fireworks and firecrackers, and they had a lot of fun.
Xiaoying stood in the dim light, frowning as she observed the cute boy.
I feel weird.
Last time, Chen Xi seemed to have dealt with a fox spirit. The animal mutation that time was the work of an evil cultivator, but this time the horns were the result of natural cultivation.
This put her in a dilemma.
The more she thought about it, the bigger her head became. She looked at Chen Xi with deep eyes.
Last night, Chen Xi left them and acted alone. Needless to say, it was definitely for this horned rabbit.
She observed for a day and found that the relationship between Jiaotu and Chenxi was not just a superficial acquaintance.
On the contrary, they were like friends and relatives who had not seen each other for a long time.
There is tacit understanding, mutual trust and protection.
The fairy wand in Chenxi's hand was almost burned out, and the gaze behind her was still staring at her with burning passion, making it hard to ignore.
With a curl of his lips, he turned around and said, "Xiaoying, why don't you come and play?"
"Ah, oh, here it comes." Xiaoying came back to her senses instantly, shook her head and hurried out, playing with the fairy wand with Chenxi.
He had a smile on his face, but was actually very worried.
She thought she had hidden it well, but she didn't know that Chen Xi saw through it all with just a quick glance.
"Is there something on your mind?"
Xiaoying paused in swinging the stick, and the sparks on it scattered, illuminating a small dark area.
Her eyes looked dim in the firelight, and she murmured, "Xiao Xi, do you think there really is a different world?"
“Should be.”
Chen Xi whispered.
If not, how did she get here?
"Xiaoxi, come here quickly, let's take a picture." Jiaojiao waved over here with a camera in his hand.
"Xiaoying, come here too."
Chen Xi had been planning to tell her his story, but was interrupted by this. He took back the words that were on the tip of his tongue and turned back to Xiaoying and said, "Let's go and take a look."
As soon as Xiaoying and Chenxi walked over, they were pulled to stand in the middle and back.
"One, two, three, eggplant!"
As a slogan was shouted, a camera in the distance flashed, freezing this moment.
While staying up all night to welcome the New Year, Ouyang Ruocheng casually took out a stack of checks, sat down as if he saw nothing, and filled them out stroke by stroke.
Then he handed the first one to Chen Xi and the other one to Ouyang Ruoyu.
When Chen Xi saw the denomination, he was a little surprised, but he happily accepted it.
She knew that this was the Ouyang family's way of taking care of her, and they would be unhappy if she didn't accept it.
