Chapter 129 A Dead Man Comes to the Door, Offering Apology Meals

Chapter 129 A Dead Man Comes to the Door, Offering Apology Meals

Wen Aili's pupils contracted slightly, and her face turned pale instantly. She watched as the dark shadow on the door gradually solidified and floated down from the door.

It was an ugly, blood-soaked woman whose skin was burned and covered in large areas of burns.

As she floated in, another dark figure appeared on the door. This time it was a boy, who also had severe burn marks on his body.

It's you!

Wen Aili was trembling all over.

Her voice drew their attention, and they stared at her intently, their eyes filled with the resentment and bitterness of her tragic death.

After a while, something else floated in from outside. This time it was a man. Judging from his burnt clothes, he was a chef at the barbecue restaurant.

More and more souls entered, but the others seemed not to see them. Yao Shengwu didn't see them either, and was still there repairing the power switch lines.

"Ah! A ghost!"

Wen Aili finally couldn't hold back anymore. She let out a shrill scream, turned around in terror, and ran around the living room, finally hiding behind the bookshelf.

"A ghost! There's a ghost!"

Wen Aili was so frightened that she dropped the flashlight she was holding.

But after the lights went out, everyone else turned on their phone flashlights. Although the living room wasn't very bright, they could still see the general situation.

Hearing Wen Aili's shouts, everyone looked towards the door, but saw nothing.

"Ellie, what nonsense are you talking about? It's late at night, don't scare us!"

"There are no ghosts, we didn't see any. Are you hallucinating?"

Wen Aili's words startled everyone else as well. They all looked around the vicinity, but still couldn't see anything.

Wen Aili hid in the corner of the bookshelf, trembling, her eyes still fixed on the door with horror, before her gaze slowly shifted to the dining table.

"Right...right at the door, now they've gone to the table and said...they want to eat, and they've sat down over there. The whole table is full!"

As everyone followed her gaze, they looked from the doorway toward the dining table and saw only a table full of leftovers; they didn't see any ghosts at all.

Someone shouted at Yao Shengwu, "Old Yao, your wife is possessed! She insists she's seen a ghost. Hurry up and find a master to take a look!"

Yao Shengwu spent a long time fiddling with the wiring but still couldn't fix it, and was just about to find a professional technician to fix it.

He also heard what Wen Aili said, and after finishing his call with his master, he walked towards Wen Aili.

Yao Shengwu said, "You must have seen wrong. Either that celebrity came and cast a shadow into our house from somewhere else outside the window."

Yao Shengwu glanced out the window and saw that in the building across the street, a family member was standing on the balcony, looking out at something.

"Xiao Li, look over there! Someone's watching us. Maybe it's someone that celebrity hired to sabotage us! Don't be scared!"

Wen Aili didn't look out the window, but stared intently in Yao Shengwu's direction, her fear growing stronger.

"Don't come any closer!"

She suddenly screamed, startling everyone.

Yao Shengwu stood there, speechless.

"No, don't come any closer!"

Wen Aili was still shouting, clearly not at Yao Shengwu, but at something they couldn't see.

Wen Aili collapsed to her knees, her voice trembling with tears, "Please don't eat me! I'll go buy groceries! I'll cook something else for you! Please don't come any closer!"

Seeing her strange behavior, the others couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spines. They looked at each other and involuntarily moved a little further away from Wen Aili.

"Xiao Li!"

Wen Aili's father was the first to react and tried to help her up, but halfway there, he tripped over something unseen and fell to the ground.

At this moment, everyone saw that Wen Aili's face turned bright red, as if she couldn't breathe, and she was tightly clutching her neck with her hands.

Her body moved slowly on the ground, as if someone was pulling her by the collar from behind, dragging her from the floor next to the bookshelf to the direction of the dining table.

"Hehehe, let...let go..."

Wen Aili managed to utter broken sounds, her voice hoarse and rough, as if she couldn't breathe properly.

Upon seeing this, the others realized that there was something unclean in Wen Aili's house, and some of them screamed in fright.

"There's a ghost! There really is a ghost!"

"Get out of here immediately!"

"Yao Shengwu, didn't you say it was a lie? That someone was trying to trick you? How could there really be such nonsense?! And you even called us here, are you trying to kill us?!"

Chaos erupted in the living room as everyone rushed toward the door.

"Hey, don't go!"

When Yao Shengwu saw Wen Aili's condition, he felt a chill run down his spine and didn't know what to do.

Before long, all those people had run away, leaving only Wen Aili's father and younger brother in the living room.

"Help, help me..."

Wen Aili's cries for help came through the air.

Seeing that she was having trouble breathing, Yao Shengwu quickly went over to help her. Wen Aili's father also came over, and they even had Wen Aili's younger brother call an ambulance.

Seeing that her face was pale and her eyes were rolling back, Wen Aili said anxiously, "Xiaoli, the ambulance is almost here. Hang in there a little longer, and don't fall asleep!"

Suddenly.

Wen Aili stopped scratching her neck, her eyes bulged slightly, and she turned her head to stare straight at Yao Shengwu beside her.

Yao Shengwu was startled by her gaze.

"Xiao Li, you..."

With a bang.

Wen Aili suddenly became incredibly strong, throwing Yao Shengwu away. He flew through the air and crashed into a wall not far away.

Wen Aili's father was also pushed away by her.

After pushing everyone away, she muttered to herself with a numb look in her eyes, "I'm guilty, I killed someone, I killed someone, I'm a murderer!"

Then, she knelt down with a thud and kowtowed repeatedly towards the dining table.

"I am guilty, I killed you all! When the fire broke out, I closed the back door, which prevented you from escaping. I am guilty, I am a murderer, and I apologize to you!"

There were still shards of broken wine bottles on the ground, but Wen Aili seemed oblivious to the pain, kneeling on the ground and kowtowing repeatedly towards the dining table.

She was cut on the hands, forehead, and legs by shards of glass, and blood was flowing all over the ground.

Wen Aili kowtowed more than ten times in one go. Her father and brother tried to pull her away, but they couldn't hold her back at all and even threw her away.

"I'm guilty, I'm a murderer! I'll atone for my sins, just eat me!"

Wen Aili stopped kowtowing and instead turned around, crawled to the ground a short distance away, and picked up the lighter that Yao Shengwu had dropped.

She set her clothes on fire with a lighter, muttering, "I'm apologizing to you, just eat me."
